Beautiful Lake Ogemaw

Welcome to BEAUTIFUL Lake Ogemaw. The cottage is located in West Branch on the western shores of Lake Ogemaw near shopping, golf courses, ORV trails, great fishing, hunting, and the Rifle River. Great for small or large groups anytime of the year.

The 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom cottage features central A/C, 2 kitchens (one on each floor), indoor gas fireplace, outdoor firepit, large balcony with exceptional views of the lake and a well-maintained beach on 60 ft of lakefront. You can swim/fish/catch some sun from the sandy beach during the summer; watch the leaves change colors during the fall; or ice fish/snowmobile/enjoy the beautiful snowy views during the winter.

Find great deals at West Branch Outlets (I-75 Exit 212). You won't be disappointed in the well-known local golf courses -- West Branch Country Club, The Dream, and The Nightmare -- which are within a 25 minute drive from the cottage. Plenty of ORV trails around for dirt bike, ATV, side-by-side, and snowmobile riding. Lake Ogemaw is regularly stocked with bass and walleye making it some of the best fishing around. There are also great opportunities for deer hunting on state land nearby. The cottage is across the street from the Rifle River High Banks Canoe Launch for your own personal canoe/tubing trips as well as fly fishing. If you're looking for professional canoe/tubing livery -- Troll Landing, Whites, and River View are close by. You can find whatever you're looking for near beautiful Lake Ogemaw!

The best!

I grew up on this lake as a kid. We were so excited to return. Pete was an amazing host. He went above and beyond to make sure our family had everything we needed. The beach area is amazing for the kids. We will definitely be back next summer!!!

Wonderful place to stay. Cooking in the basement kitchen was a breeze. Would highly recommend to others looking for a place to stay. Make sure you can climb stairs though there are about 25 to the water.

We booked Pete’s place at the last minute. We were very fortunate it was available. We met Pete and his family they were all very nice. The property is beautiful, house was lovely and well equipped. I highly recommend this vacation property. 10+ stars.

Just as wonderful as last year!

Our second year renting Pete's lake home was just as wonderful as the first. Communication was quick, rental rate was very fair and the view from this house is off the charts! And talk about clean! Thank you for another wonderful experience on Lake Ogemaw.

Great Vacation!

We had an excellent stay here. There were 4 adults and one toddler . Plenty of room. House is well equipped. We rented a pontoon boat for the week from Lake Ogemaw Marina which is less than a block away so it was very easy and convenient. The house had both paddle boards and kayaks to use. The beach area is huge and very nice. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Pictures don't do this place justice

Been vacationing upnorth for about 30 years now, and by far this is the best house we stayed in. Super clean, spacious, new furniture, clean sandy beach, breathtaking views, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, gorgeous lake and friendly neighbors. This will be our go to every year. Ps the fishing off shore was great. Caught a ton of fish (blue gills, large mouth bass, pike, and yellow perch).

Warm and Welcoming

We had beautiful weather! I am sure Pete made that happen. The beach was nice and everyone we came upon was very friendly. People who do rent should be aware the beach and beach toys are shared with the neighbor, who is the owner, but they are very nice and I imagine during the week that wouldn't be an issue. Kayaks and paddle boards are in great condition and we were able to rent a boat from the friendly marina down the road and were able to dock it right at the house! House is clean and roomy. Bedrooms on the smaller side, but why would you ever be in them. So much space on the porches and outside to hang out as well as in the basement which is nice and cool. Oh, and bikes too! We took a bike ride around the entire lake. A nice little journey.

BEAUTIFUL rental right on Lake Ogemaw with sandy beach

My husband and I visited on 8/28-9/2/2024. Pete and family were so welcoming and kind. They were up for the Labor Day weekend next door.The home has 3 bedrooms top floor, (King, double and bunk room w/ 2 double bottom bunk beds w/single top beds), 1 bath (with bathtub, shower, double sinks), living room w/ large smart tv, (this is the1 steaming tv in home), full kitchen, table for 4, washer/dryer on main floor. HUGE deck off kitchen w/tons of seating overlooking an amazing view of Lake Ogemaw and large grass yard. Table, 4 chairs, also outside coffee table w/couch and 2 chairs, plus many chairs on deck. Steps down side of deck to the yard. Wait...there's more 😁 There's an incredible basement off of the upstairs kitchen.This area is very LARGE! ALSO HAS A KITCHEN! 3 sections, w/ gas fireplace, amazing view of lake.Couch, loveseat, 2 recliners, 8 barstools, an island and counter between the space. Next is another area! Beautiful dining table for 8, two more recliners. A 2nd BR, with shower, toilet and sink. There is a screen porch off basement, picnic table, lots of yard toys, floaties, cornhole... Out the screenporch is a grass yard, flat and then a hill to the AMAZING overlook with even more seating, stairs ( both sides) down to the huge beautiful sandy beach! We played with our 7 grandbabies, (1 week old to 5 yrs) in the sand and water. 2 kayaks, 3 paddle boards, 2 docks, ( we also fished) and many kid toys. Perfect Place

Great view with nice lounge and beach areas. Very clean and spacious. House came with everything you need plus extras (games, kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, etc.) which made packing much easier. Plenty of parking. Would definitely stay again.
