We love the two living areas and the amount of space it provides to spread out too. We try to offer our guests all of the items that we would want on vacation. We cook a lot, so a well-stocked kitchen is important, and we provide the beach chairs and a beach cart so you don’t have to bring them from home.

Great getaway in Nags Head! The top floor living space is lovely and we enjoyed hours of games and beautiful views of the sunrise and sunsets. The private back deck and lush scenery was a welcome view. The beds are super comfortable (always critical!) and the beach is only a short walk away. The hot tub was perfect for the only rainy day we had. The owner is incredibly responsive and truly wants you to have a great vacation. Thank you!

My family and I just stayed here last week of June. We had a great time the house is exactly as it is shown. Very short walk to beach very clean and owner was very helpful !!!

Thank you so much for this review. Thanks for bringing out the closeness to the beach. Reelsaltobx is also very close to the beach and less than 1/4 mile from fish heads bar and grill that overlooks the ocean on the outer banks pier where you can also fish. We enjoyed our beach week in this amazing beach house, so welcoming and comfortable, close to everything, 1 block from beach. Sunsets were the best, look forward to coming next year!!!

Perfect for large families!
The house was comfortable and Tracy was really welcoming and responsive. It is a very short walk to the beach, they have lots of games we enjoyed at night, and it is decorated beautifully. It was w wonderful week and the house fit our need’s perfectly.

A relaxing week at the beach
Great location and views of the sound for the sunset, the sunrise and very great star gazing. The couches / beds are very comfortable and the house has a very open nice feel. The decks are great to catch some rays or read a book. Very nice place ! Would recommend for sure.

So wonderful!
This house is perfect. Short walk to the beach… incredible views from all parts of the decks… beds were comfortable… kitchen fully stocked… kids loved the hot tub.. property manager is so quick to respond to any questions we had while we were there. I would definitely book this house again!

Great family vacation
Wonderful home in a great location. We have stayed in OBX many times over the years. And this was a great home for us this year. Good location near the beach with lots of good restaurants close by. Great spot for a family. Kitchen had everything we needed, and everything was as advertised. We would absolutely return. Thank you Tracy for the great communication

Thank you, Andrew for that great review! I am so glad that you enjoyed your vacation here at reelsaltobx. We also love that we are a 3 minute walk across the street from the beach. We think the restaurants in Nags Head and other towns close by are some of the best in the obx. Also, fish heads bar and grill is about 3/4 of a mile away where you can enjoy beer and wine and light fare overlooking the ocean. We vacationed in Nags Head for many year before deciding to buy. We really try to provide all of the kitchen equipment needed to make some really good family meals at home. Thank you for your communications, as well and we hope you return again!

Family and friends long weekend
We enjoyed our stay in south Nags Head. The property is very nice and check-in / check-out were easy. We missed the fact that we needed to bring our own soap, shampoo, etc so posting that here for future guests in case they miss it in the other materials as we did. The beds were very comfortable, which is not always the case at rental properties.

Thank you Erin for your review. It is true that we do not provide soap, shampoo and other paper products. While we would love to be able to supply creature comforts, we are not onsite and are unable to do so. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay and the beds. They are all high quality mattresses and new.

Great house, great location
The Reel Salt is a very comfortable house convenient to several beach access points. Only about a mile down South Oregon Inlet road, it’s close enough to Nags Head restaurants and shopping, but out of the traffic. Tracy was very responsive and an excellent communicator. Outstanding experience overall!

Beautiful sunsets, nice loft style house. Just minutes from the beach. Close to many attractions and good restaurants. Only negative is the cleaning company needs to do a better job. Everything else was great.

Family getaway
Property was as described and communications with Tracy were prompt to make check in easy. She even sent a friendly text when we left. There was enough room for everyone in our party. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house has close beach access. Beds were comfortable, everything was great. I would definitely stay again.

Great time in South Nags Head!
Can’t recommend this property enough! Clean, updated, comfortable, and welcoming in every aspect. It was perfect for all ages—our kids enjoyed the hot tub and the grandmothers enjoyed sitting on the beautiful deck for happy hour. Just a 3-min walk to the beach made for easy access to the ocean. Tracy was communicative and responsive throughout the whole process and gave us excellent recommendations for dining and activities. We give it 5 stars and will be returning!

Fun Family House
Beautiful, well appointed and clean house. We were fans of the marine blue and white decor. Loved that we could see both the ocean and the sound from the house. Watched the sunrise from the front deck and sunset from the back deck. Short walk to the beach. Owners were very communicative and helpful. Great place for a family with comfy beds, ample bathrooms and a nicely equipped kitchen.

Fall Fishing “Grand Slam” Weekend
Great place for a families and friends! We had two sisters and a brother (60+) and a nephew 30+. House was perfect! Very clean and newly furnished. Great views from front and back decks. Deck furniture was comfortable high top chairs, all new.
We had a Grand Slam Weekend (Blue Marlin, White Marlin, two sailfish and 160 lbs yellow fin tuna!

It’s great that the house is only a 10 minute drive from the Old Oregon Inlet fishing center which offers fishing charters - in shore and offshore. It is also a 4 minute walk to the beach. I love that you can see the ocean and the sound from the decks on the house and the sunsets are amazing. We are a blended family that vacationed in South Nags Head. We were married on the beach here. We bought our first beach house in 2019 and in 2022 we bought this home. We love this area so much and we want to share that love with you.
Por qué escogió este alojamiento
We love this property because it is large enough for two families and it is spacious. South Nags Head is a very family friendly vacationing spot with museums, go karts, putt putt golf and many more activities suited for family time. This property also has a separate are with built-in desk to have any conference calls that you may need to be on if you work from home on your vacation. Each bedroom has a bathroom so no need to wait for a shower. A nice outdoor shower is under the house. This area is also has many opportunities for fishing. (deep sea, near shore, beach, and sound) Check with local tackle shops for more information. This home is a few miles from the Old Oregon Inlet fishing center. It is also close to shopping, restaurants, and activities but the area is quiet and the beaches are not crowded.
Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial
One thing that struck us when we entered this home was the fact that it was so spacious and open in the upstairs area. Two living spaces, a dining room and kitchen all in the open area. A large hallway in the lower floor keeps all of the bedrooms far enough apart for personal space. Some bedrooms have private balcony areas on the soundside of the house. The laundry room is very large and has a built in desk area for working. Concierge trash service May 1 - Oct 31 means do not have to take the can to the street or bring it back. Just fill the can making sure the lid will close and everything else is done for you. Trash pick up is Monday and Thursday.
