We are a family of 6 from the Midwest. Our kids have grown up spending hours on the beach, building sand castles, playing in the waves, burying each other in the sand, and finding treasures that the tide brings in. They now range in age from 13-30 so their beach fun has changed to sunbathing, kayaking, fishing, and visiting their favorite restaurants and ice cream shops. One of our absolute favorite things is taking a day trip to Corolla to see the iconic Outer Banks wild horses. The tours are loads of fun and we see something new every time. There is definitely something to do for all ages! Greg takes advantage of the amazing photo opportunities, whether it's pictures of the majestic water birds, catching the last rays of the day illuminating the Bodie Island lighthouse, the sea turtles nesting, or just family fun on the beach. Leslie loves to walk up and down the beach, picking up shells that the tide brings in and popping into some of her favorite local shops, especially in the quaint little town of Manteo. We also love the fresh seafood at the local restaurants, and highly recommend O'Neals Sea Harvest in Wanchese if you want to prepare your own! And we have to mention how amazing our North Carolina Aquarium is, and it isn't far from our place. Check out the sea turtle rescue wing!

We rented this house for our family vacation years ago and fell in love with it. It just felt like home. When we called to book the same week for the next summer, the owners told us that they were selling. We decided that we couldn't pass up the opportunity. Owning this beach house has been a dream come true. We know that you will treasure the warm memories that your family makes here, just like we do!

This house is in a PERFECT location. It is on a quiet street in South Nags Head, just steps from the beach. There is a lifeguard tower on the beach at the end of our street from Memorial Day through Labor Day, which is a rare amenity. There are plenty of restaurants, golf courses, shops, grocery stores, banks, parks, piers, and other attractions in Nags Head. Our home is located just past all of those things, so you only have to drive a few minutes to anything you want to go to. You could also ride your bike along the bike path to get to many of those attractions. At night you can see millions of stars in the sky!
