Welcome to our 1,600 sq ft 3-bed 3-bath cottage in the wonderful Apple Hill area!

Nested in the winding Fort Jim Rd, our house was recently renovated with great taste but we made sure to keep the original wooden accents that gives its unique charm.

If you stay at the Fort Jim cabin, you'll be a few minutes away from many amazing apple orchards in Apple Hill and close to dozens of local wineries. You're also close enough to jet to Lake Tahoe for both summer and winter outdoor activities.

This is a beautiful place to stay. It was a very quiet area, but close to anything you might need. The accommodations were outstanding and comfortable. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

Wonderful Fall Getaway in Placerville!Our family had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful property in Placerville! The home was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable — the perfect place to relax and enjoy the fall season. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the outdoor gas firepit quickly became our favorite spot to gather in the evenings.The location was ideal — just a short drive to town and perfectly situated for exploring the Fairplay and Camino/Apple Hill wine regions. The property owners were exceptionally kind and communicative throughout our stay, making check-in and check-out seamless.We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect for a family

We’re from Los Angeles and didn’t know much about Placerville before our visit, but we were pleasantly surprised. There were plenty of activities nearby, and we enjoyed every single one. The house was spotless, and the owner was incredibly friendly. It was also conveniently close to downtown and local attractions.The only thing the house needs is a better WiFi. It’s super slow during our stay.

WONDERFUL CLEAN HOME

Family Reunion

We stayed at the property so we could attend a family reunion. From the time I booked the home until we arrived it was so easy. The owners we so helpful and were even able to arrange for us to have an early check in. The home was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Our family reunion was held at Sly Park Recreation Area, and was easy to get to from the property. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful place but not very clean

Absolutely beautiful home in a great area. Had a girls weekend and the host was amazing, however the house was quiet dirty. Showers had not been cleaned in some time, mold in the coffee maker (which the host offered to replace) and dusty counters. I would highly recommend staying here once the cleaning staff takes care of the house.

Beautiful, spacious, and clean

We had a wonderful time in this home. The place was very clean and very well-furnished. It had everything we needed. The upstairs porch was very enjoyable. Everything was great. There were some flies around, but that’s to be expected with the location, and who knows if whoever stayed before us was good at not leaving doors open to keep the bugs out. I would highly recommend this place!

Great stay. Cabin with chic cozy style

We had a great stay at this cabin nestled in Smith Flat. Location was perfect for a day at Apple Hill, Placerville or Sly Park(Jenkinson Lake) The house is really cozy with plenty of room for a large family of three couples. Very beautiful surroundings with a wonderful deck above the garage. The stars are amazing at night. Only complaint was downstairs bathroom was alittle dirty upon arrival. Other than that, it is an awesome place to stay. Owners are quick to respond. Very professional

What a beautiful home!

My husband and I had a 4-night stay at Cedric and Jun's wonderful home in Placerville. We have stayed in El Dorado County many times, but this is the nicest place we have ever rented in this area. The house is beautiful, and just as described in the VRBO listing. It was a larger house than we needed for just the two of us, but I fell in love with the photos on the listing, so I decided to book it. Great decision! The location is perfect! The property is located off of a country road on a nice large lot, so there is lots of privacy, and it is very serene and quiet, but still just a short drive to town. The house was immaculate. All of the bedrooms and living space areas are very inviting, comfortable and well appointed. All three bathrooms are beautifully decorated! This is the owner's vacation home, so the kitchen is very well stocked, and for someone who loves to cook, that is very important to me. Cedric and Jun were very responsive to any questions that I had. A few days before our trip, I actually talked with Jun by phone. She is a very delightful person! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. We would love to come stay again in the future.

Peaceful convenient location

Epic Cabin Retreat in Placerville
