Kitty Hawk Reserve OBX Tiny House! Hot Tub & Beach included!

Our small cottage is located in the perfect spot for seeing what all this area has to offer. This new construction is about 500 sq ft of spacious living space with a hot tub and patio overlooking the wetlands area behind the property. It is private and cozy; a great place to spend a honeymoon, anniversary, or maybe just to get away and reset. A short bike ride to see the sunset, a short drive to many public beach accesses, a short walk to Kitty Hawk Reserve where you can hike through the Maritime forest. Best of all, the star gazing from the hot tub is on point.
We provide linens, towels, basic toiletries, coffee & tea, bikes, and beach chairs. We also have a book with some information on the area.
We are local and readily available if there is anything you might need during your stay.
During the winter when the leaves fall, you can see the neighboring house a little better than usual but the house still feels very private overall.

Perfect Getaway!

We LOVE staying here! Second trip here, and we were in the perfect central location to see the lighthouses & walk around Duck, Manteo, etc. The house is so well-stocked, beautiful, and clean. Couldn’t have asked for better!

Great getaway

Really loved this quiet, neighborhood retreat away from some of the hustle & bustle of the beach highway strip. It was perfectly located so you could access beach or sound/intercoastal activities. Loved the hot tub in the evenings and everything was comfortable and thoughtfully arranged. Would stay again!

Superb Kitty Hawk Cottage

My wife and I stayed at this property for 3 days. We absolutely loved it. The photos are accurate and the property itself was spotlessly clean. The host graciously allowed us to check-in early. Every detail was thought of when building, designing and furnishing this property. If you don't need to be oceanfront, this cottage is a gem to consider. You're just a short drive from area attractions while staying in a safe area that affords lots of walk/run/biking trails just steps from your front door. 5 stars across the board!

I rented this property for my son and his wife. They absolutely LOVED it. He said every detail was thought thru and the space was perfectly utilized. The location is close to allot of things they wanted to see and do, from the memorials to the cute cafes and shops. The house even has bikes included if you wish to ride around that way. Everything about our stay was amazing. We were looking for something somewhat private in Kitty Hawk. The rental itself was as advertised. Communication with the owner/host was great, although we didn’t really have any issues that we needed to communicate. Very satisfied and if we return to Kitty Hawk again, we will be making sure to rebook this wonderful rental. There’s no need to look for anything else. Thank you for having us!

Perfect stay in OBX

We loved this unique house in OBX. Very clean, had all you needed and more, and in a private location away from the busyness of the city. Amy was an amazing host, always answered questions right away, and helped give us some great ideas and ways of adventures in OBX. We loved the outside shower and the hot tub! Rode bikes all around the area and watched some amazing sunsets on the Sound few min from the house. So much other stuff to do, seen the wild horses on the beach, seen all kinds of wildlife at Alligator wildlife refuge, visited Manteo, close to beach, and so many good restaurants nearby! We would love to come back to this wonderful place!! Thanks for the great hospitality and sharing your amazing place with us!

Chris and I love to host! We are very passionate about making our properties welcoming, comfortable, and clean. Our commitment is to make your stay amazing!
Chris is a true local; his ancestors shipwrecked on the Outer Banks in the late 1700's and you will see the Scarborough family name all over the beach. He has owned a concrete company, with his father, since the year 2000.
I grew up in Mountain Maryland and began traveling at the age of 17. I have lived all over the country and have visited every state. I finally settled in the Outer Banks after meeting my husband, Chris.
Chris and I started building vacation rentals in 2019 and we are getting ready to start construction on our third property. Our long term goal is to own several properties and start a small, luxury, property management company.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Drive back a wooded road through the old village of Kitty Hawk. Just 4 miles from the beach, you will see the best of both the forest and the beach while staying at our home. Located in a small neighborhood on a dead end street; the area is great for bike rides and hiking on the nearby trails through Kitty Hawk Reserve. (please note: hiking may not be pleasant in the hot summer months because of ticks and mosquitos). You may get to see some wildlife such as deer, nutria, herons, egrets, owls, eagles, and frogs around the property. We provide beach cruiser bikes for your convenience.

This small house is a dream; luxurious, and unique. We built this home as if it were for us personally. We thought about every detail and designed this home with a lot of love and functionality. The cottage came in first place for it's category in the 2022 Outer Banks Parade of Homes!
