Escape to your Lake Tahoe forest hideaway, a cozy and peaceful mountain home offering beautiful forest and mountain views throughout. Located at the back of a quiet neighborhood with very little traffic and few nearby homes, this home offers privacy, tranquility, yet easy access to the best of Lake Tahoe. From the house, you are close to Lake Tahoe’s beaches (5 minutes to Nevada Beach, Round Hill Resort, and Zephyr Cove), golf courses (Edgewood), hiking and biking trails, dining, nightlife, and shopping. In winter, skiing or snowboarding at Heavenly Mountain Resort is within a short drive. Enjoy peaceful walks right in the neighborhood to enjoy stunning sunsets above the lake… or after a day of skiing, hiking or exploring the lake, relax in the hot tub and take in the fresh mountain air. Two patios areas and a BBQ area invite relaxed outdoor dining and conversation under the stars. The gourmet kitchen with spacious countertops, double oven, gas rangetop, and island is a cook's dream for cooking up family dinner or a breakfast to fuel your day at the lake, hiking, or skiing. Our property borders U.S. Forest Service land, often welcoming visits from squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and an occasional bear, coyote or bobcat passing by — offering a true Tahoe experience surrounded by nature.


About the Home:

Inside, the home is designed for comfort, with space for up to 10 guests. With three living levels above the garage please consider that it may not be suitable for young children or adults who have difficulty navigating stairs.

* Second Level: Two bedrooms, one full bathroom, and laundry area.
* Third Level: Kitchen, breakfast nook, living room, half bath, balcony, and patio.
* Fourth Level: Master bedroom with en-suite bath, plus two additional bedrooms and a second full bathroom.
* A two-car garage provides convenient parking, with additional driveway parking available.


Permit & Driving Conditions:
This home operates under Douglas County Permit #08402222 Renter must be 25 years of age or older to rent; Maximum Occupancy 10 people (gatherings that exceed the max occupancy are not permitted); events are strictly prohibited; quiet hours between 9 pm and 8 am will be strictly enforced. Maximum allowed 4 vehicles - renters will be issued parking placards must be displayed on the driver’s side dashboard of vehicles, park only in designated parking areas, failure to park in designated parking areas and/or display the parking placards may result in a citation and fine of $500. During the winter months, 4WD/AWD vehicles and tire chains are strongly recommended as weather conditions can change quickly

Great secluded stay in South Lake area

Had a great stay, the property was clean and spacious. Were able to comfortably fit all 9 guests, and got to enjoy the hot tub.

Great place to stay in Tahoe

We would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a place in Tahoe. Very spacious place with great views and proximity to ski resorts, the Lake and night life.

Amazing Lake Tahoe House!

The property is very well maintained in a safe quiet area. It's really close to Zepher's Cove Lake and of course the casinos. It has parking for up to 4 cars which helped. The owner (?) Nila was very friendly and responded to emails quickly. I definitely recommend this great property.

Conveniently located massive home!!

This home was perfect for our group of friends celebrating New Years. It's extremely close to Zephyr Cove Beach as well as the downtown area with the casinos. There were plenty of rooms so everyone got a bed + a big kitchen and common area for hanging out. Check in and check out was seamless as well. Thanks for an amazing stay Nila!! 10/10 would recommend to friends/family + would stay here again.

Beautiful home in a great location

This home is very accessible and close to the lake, and is a nice distance from the craziness of South Lake. It's a nice big house with plenty of space for eight people. The deck on the third level is very nice and a great place to relax at the end of the day. Everything in the house = user friendly and Nila the owner is super nice and very responsive. We felt right at home and would come back again.

An Authentic Mountain Experience

If you love a real feel of the mountains, the stay in Zephyr Cove is it. The drive into Zephyr Cove is spectacular, you get a beautiful view of the lake. Once you get to the property it is nice and quiet, there are mountain boulders and rocks all around which you can appreciate from almost every window, as well as majestic trees, once inside. The house has a cool mountain look. We enjoyed the large spaces and it was still very cozy. It has ample room for larger parties/groups. There is a straightforward welcoming packet you can find on the kitchen counter. It had all the amenities we needed for our family to stay very comfortably. We were even able to enjoy the jacuzzi in the evening, after a day of being out on the lake. It was so relaxing and our children really enjoyed it. Aim the evening you can sit out on the front porch and listen to the woods come alive as the sun goes down, then look up at the stars. If you feel like a night indoors you can kick back and watch a little tv, guests have access to great material for adult and children alike. The owners are nearby. They are very kind and accessible for help if needed. We loved that so much to do was nearby! Grocery stores, hikes, lake access with everything a lake has to offer, places to eat, other towns, rivers and lakes. Every where you go is spectacular. We were able to get in and out very easily. The garage has capacity for two cars. We hope to make it back and experience it in the winter.

Good location,

We had an emergency with one of the 3 families who planned to come with us two days before check in. The tested positive in covid and surely enough they had to cancel. I contacted the property host to see if I can cancel the booking or if not reschedule it for labor day week end ( the booking was for July 4th) The host said it is not under my control and customer service can decide on the case. I called customer service, explained the situation, and they said we are OK if host is Ok. They told we will send an email to host. After that I called host, left the message, and emailed her as well with no response. She even didn’t reply back the email. She could have told ;sorry; I can’t. Not responding the guest seems very unprofessional and disrespectful to me specially in this competetive business. Eventually we decided to go with two families and pay more money each( as opposed to family of 3). The other issue was that small complementary items like hand washing soap, and dish washing liquid containers had been filled with water added to a nearly previously finished one. The solutions were two thin! The shampoos in bathrooms were the same. That looked cheap to me. Other than that we had no problem. There were enough dishes and beds were clean, unless the first floor room which looked very old and un-pleasant. I give a score of 3 out of 5 in overal.
