GDC- Near Buckhorn Restaurant, Large Family Home,Trail 7 Accessible

The Green Door Cottage is a spacious family home located in the Hiawatha National Forest. Enclosed patio for relaxation and family time. This home has everything you need to make your stay peaceful and relaxing including an electric sauna! The main floor has a fully equipped kitchen and pantry, living area with a TV (Roku Only), full bathroom and a washer and dryer. The upstairs is a master "suite" with a queen bed, claw bathtub and a private toilet room. The basement has two rooms, bedroom one includes 1 queen and 2 twins, bedroom two has 4 twin beds. The basement also has a pull-out sofa and the sauna room. Plenty of parking for trailers year-round. Trail 7 accessible from the home. The Buckhorn Restaurant is only a 6 minute drive from the cabin and Munising is about 20 minutes.

***If you are booking through Airbnb or VRBO you will receive a separate contract from Pictured Rocks Vacation Rentals. In order to receive check-in information you will be required to sign this.

Christmas Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a wonderful time! House was very cozy and large. Was great for a family to spread out and relax. Quiet and Relaxing

Lovely overnight

We were in the UP for high school semi final football. This cottage was the sweetest. I hope to come back to this areas and stay again one day!!

My overall impression of this property is excellent with the exception of the basement bedroom. This tiled floor needs to be cleaned a bit better. Bathrooms were very clean and kitchen as well. Our beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked. We all liked how large the house was. Its a shame that the yard looked so unkept. I wanted so bad to get in there and trim those shrubs and clean the beds. I hate to complain but to me thats a part of the overall experience of staying somewhere is the environment that the house is in. You have a beautiful home and it should be in a beautiful landscape.

Great location and set up

Great home layout and location. Our family had a beautiful week exploring pictured rocks. This was a perfect home base. Plenty of trailer space for our pontoon and a pretty quick drive from Munising. We are already talking about coming back.

Girls days out!!

The property was very nice. Had no trouble finding it. Very fun to all have our own beds. Loved the location. Very remote and private. Wifi was a bit of a problem at first. Loved the screened in porch too.

The place was huge, plenty of spaces. The bedrooms downstairs are good for sharing. No shower in the tub upstairs. Good for going away weekend from busy city life.

celebrating friendship

our group of friends (11 of us) have gathered in the UP for 25 years. we traveled to Munising specifically to see the Pictured Rocks, to do the boat cruise, and to hike in the park. And the boat cruise was exceptional. This house accommodated us well. Loved the large kitchen and dining table. Next time to this area, we need to spend more than 2 days.

Beautiful house in the woods

We only got to stay Friday night and Saturday night and checked out on Sunday, I wish we could’ve stayed for a week at least. The place was beautiful, the place was huge plenty of room and bathrooms for nine girls to stay and get ready and it was absolutely the best day we have had in a VRBO. We loved the screened in porch, sat out there and had our morning coffee had a fire outside in the fire pit. It was wonderful.

Wonderful Northern Cottage

We stayed here to snowmobile and there was plenty of room for parking. The Sauna is a great amenity. All the windows make it feel like you are in a snow globe of a winter wonderland. Nestled in the woods and very large. We loved the sauna and the porch. We all cuddled the first night and listened to the rain and thunder. The entire experience was like a Colorado cabin in the woods but (unfortunately) without mountains. We also were blessed that whoever owns this placed nice Christian decor around the house and beautiful country, quaint decor that made it feel like a home. Very nice.

Everything was amazing. The house and property were fantastic as well. We all loved the sauna!! My only suggestion is to get a bigger and better grill. I was disappointed in the grill that was onsite. Made it very hard to cook a meal for everyone at the same time. Thank you

Quiet private cottage in the woods

Overall our stay was good. Wifi didn’t work which was good and bad. When 6 hours from home no way to check on elderly mother or to know if issues with house and alarm back home but got better interaction from all of those that were with us. A few little things were broken and hard to work but great open floor plan with lots of positives.
