Come enjoy Amazing sunsets on the lake at Sunset Cove vacation home, the newest additional to Hiawatha's Hideaway - vacation homes! Located on 16 mile lake, close to Pictured Rocks, your family will enjoy the peace and quiet in this area and stunning views of the lake with 200 ft of shoreline! Watch the Bald Eagles from the Large deck w/outdoor furniture for relaxing outside or inside in the sunporch! Bring your own fishing boat, there is a private boat ramp right on the property and space for parking your trailer. The large lakeside deck offers a peaceful setting.

This 1500 square foot home has three bedrooms, one 1-3/4 bathrooms and everything for your vacation holiday. The lake is ideal for boating and fishing. Swimming on site with sandy bottom. The house is located in a cove, so the bottom has silt on top of the sand, which goes away if enough people swim in the area. No jumping or diving from our dock.

Fully equipped kitchen with coffee bar and large living room overlooking the lake.

The main floor walkout level features a master bedroom with king bed, full bathroom with tub/shower combo, fully stocked kitchen, laundry, comfy living room and sunroom. The sunroom has easy access from the lake and deck.

Upstairs are two more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds and the 2nd bathroom with shower!

Our cottage is located in the woods, not too far from Pictured Rocks area with some full-time neighbors. This is a family friendly area so perfect for a small family and couples getaway. No parties here.

Two kayaks and one paddle board included.
Valley Spur cross country ski and snowshoe trails are only 6 miles away!

The home was extremely clean and had all the comforts needed to make our stay relaxing and carefree. The home is situated on a beautiful lake and we enjoyed kayaking one day. It is very close to Pictured Rocks and several waterfalls as well. Our host was very gracious. We would definitely recommend this loveky property for your stay.

Great Lake house

We loved staying here at Sunset Cove! My husband and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary while we were here. The home was so inviting and so clean, and it was everything we thought it would be and more! We loved the privacy and the quiet. Just watching the wildlife while sitting on the deck was wonderful! Sunsets were beautiful!

The house was exceptionally clean and well thought out. More than basic supplies provided. It felt like home as soon as we arrived. This place is the perfect location for many of the sights in the UP. Will definitely book this again.

Our family of four enjoyed our time in this home on 16 Mile Lake. The home was immaculate and had everything we needed - except a tea kettle. We even .ade use of the wafflemaker! The lake views were stunning. We saw a pair of bald eagles, osprey and lots of geese and ducks. The water toys were a big plus. We had easy access to the national park and Superior seashore - which was our main reason for visiting the area. We would recommend this home to any family and would happily stay again if we return to the area.

Perfect Family Get Away

I can not stress enough about how clean this property is. You feel comfortable from the moment you arrive at the property. And they put so much thought into all the little extras you might need or forget about. Coffee, tea, creamers, wood, lighters, flashlights, toothbrushes, toothpaste, blenders, grill, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bug spray, sun block, board games, soap for laundry………. I was just so impressed. They thought of everything. We will be back!

Amazing Sunset

We had an amazing family getaway at Sunset Cove. The house was just as pictured. We had so much fun out on the lake with all the water toys. The sunset in the evening was spectacular. The location was very close to Munising and Pictured Rocks. We will be back for sure!

Family vacation

A beautiful house with all that we needed within easy driving distance to our activities in and around Munising. For the most part a very lovely and quiet neighborhood, although on Thursday and Friday there was a lot of gun/target practice, including what sounded like rapid-fire (or perhaps fireworks).

Beautiful home in a beautiful spot

We visited Sunset Cove on a trip to see Pictured Rocks. The home and amenities are wonderful. The location is perfect. It was so nice to start the day with coffee on the deck and end the day with a fire on the beach. We used the kayaks and paddle boat and our only regret was not staying longer. We had two couples and it was perfect, but it could easily accommodate another couple or a family. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Good kayaking & location

Communication disappointing - information on property needed updating & there were conflicting pieces of information. We had a great time on the lake especially enjoyed the outdoor area. Loved the deck! Needed more variety of dishes (just dinner plates & salad size bowls).

Comfortable, clean, convenient home

Sunset Cove is a well maintained comfortable home in a lovely location. Highlights were kayaks and other boats for paddling, lots of relaxing seating inside and outside, beautiful lake views, water that tasted fine, kitchen with many cooking utensils and appliances, soft comfortable beds, ample supplies (dish and hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, laundry detergent, beach towels), wifi and streaming, board games. Communication with property manager and check-in were smooth. Water pump and water heater were noisy but worked well. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Sunset Cove did not disappoint!!

We had an amazing stay at Sunset Cove. First, the home is beautiful, warm and inviting and had everything we needed for a comfortable and fun stay. We loved the basket and lovely card the host left for us. We enjoyed the paddle boat and kayaks. I highly recommend staying up for the sunsets, they are magical, and I don't say that lightly. It is about a 15-20 minute drive to Pictured Rocks, the town of Munising and any activities you want to enjoy. The hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay and we look forward to coming back!
