Sueño Oceanside. Corto paseo a la playa.

Nuestra casa de playa se encuentra en la isla de Hatteras en Salvo.

Estamos a una cuadra del acceso a la playa y a cinco minutos a pie del océano. La pesca es excelente en la isla la mayor parte del año. La pesca charter está disponible en Oregon Inlet (20 minutos) o Hatteras Village (30 minutos). Incluso puedes traer tu propio bote o motos de agua. La rampa pública del barco al sonido está a menos de una milla de distancia. La pesca de surf está a pocos pasos de distancia. Desea explorar el área por la playa, no hay problema, empaca tu vehículo 4WD y dirígete a la rampa de la playa a 1/2 milla de distancia. ¿Quieres probar el kite boarding? Alquiler de equipos y clases disponibles casi al otro lado de la calle. ¡Por supuesto que siempre hay surf! Solo quiero relajarnos y escapar, entonces nuestra casa es solo para ti. Acogedor, luminoso y abierto, todo lo que necesitará para unas excelentes vacaciones. Muebles de sala nuevos, camas cómodas. Place was quite and close the beach. 20 min drive to the grocery store for larger items, but there are smaller shop near by.

This is a simple, well-stocked, clean beach place. It is easy to check in, situated in an accessible neighborhood, and quiet... good bike riding area. The beach is beautiful and private. There is a hike between houses and over the dunes. It is not easily accessible for beach wagons or for toting a lot of beachy stuff as the sand is loose and the path is narrow in places. Overall, a great vacay exploring, sunning and dining.

Great House by the Beach

This is the 4th or 5th time staying at Ocean Dream. It was an awesome property the first time and still is. Always a great experience for the week we're in Salvo.

Nice house on quiet street

We had a really nice week at Oceanside Dream- a no fuss house on a quiet street. The house was clean and comfortable. The beach is very close and the neighborhood is great for bike riding. Shrimp shack and well stocked deli/beach grocery very close by. Easy and friendly communication with the owner. Would recommend !

This house was perfect. It was in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood. We walked to the beach every morning then enjoyed lunch on the screened in porch. The outdoor shower was so convenient. If you are looking for peace and quiet with your family this is the place.

Wonderful beach vacation with family

Clean and quiet location. Perfect for small family. Stayed with my daughter and two small grandchildren. Space was perfect for this size group/6 and had all the amenities we needed, including beach cart and umbrella. Nice outdoor shower, enclosed and fully stocked kitchen. Very ckean. Newer furniture. We will be back to this area.. near good restaurants. Food Lion 17 min away in Avon.

Great Location and Well Appointed

I'm being asked to review this property including a narrative statement. I've stayed every year since 2018 (minus the pandemic years 2020, 2021) so there's not much I can add. I've seen updates each time. This year it was new decks on the front and back, new windows and new siding all around. The location is nice (a 10-minute walk, if that, to the ocean) and the house had most everything we needed to enjoy living at the beach last week. We only brought groceries, bed linens and towels. We enjoyed sitting, and eating, at the table in the shade on the car port. We have always enjoyed our stay at this property.

Clean & private - perfect place to stay.

After reading many reviews of the places in the area, we found this one. What a great choice! Salvo is not very Touristy however there is much to do. Great for family or just a couple, very clean and very private (empty lot on each side) and very close to the beach (about a 3min walk-public access pretty much all over). The owners were VERY EASY to deal with and the deposit was returned two days after our return home. They provided mostly everything, beach chairs, Weber charcoal grill (thumbs up!), and bag toss boards. Plenty of cooking utensils in the kitchen and the foose-ball table was fun. Just need to bring your own bedding/towels. Food Lion is about 20 S on NC-12 (just before the new Dirty Dick's), get a Food Lion savings card, it will be worth it. Stop at Dolphin's Den for some out-of-this world Key Lime Pie & Fish Bits. Take a tour in The Cape Hatteras Light House, see brochures for times. In fact, brochures are all over, pick one up for things to do and $ savings coupons. Orcracoke Island is a must stop (cannot tour the light house but still neat to see). About 40mins south on NC-12 then 35min ferry ride over (the ferry holds about 30-40 vehicles). Spend a day there, much to do & definitely visit the beach. All in all it was an awesome stay & thank you to the owners for sharing your home.

Nice location

The location of this property is very nice. My kids enjoyed the foosball. The decor was very cute. I have a high-risk child and didn’t feel the house was cleaned as it should have been. There were visible food pieces in the towels on the oven and in the sink. There was also soap residue in the shower that came off easily when I wipes, so I’m not sure how well that shower/bath was cleaned. Also the rugs throughout the house. Also, there were crumbs in the bar stools. I had to go through and clean before my kiddos came in. Both the tv’s in the bedrooms didn’t work. The one in the master was on and off the Wi-Fi. I had to disconnect all of my Netflix devices because I couldn’t get back into that tv to sign out. That was disappointing. I’ll n the positive note, the owner was immediate at answering questions, the location was great, and the extra beach items were a nice perk although we didn’t use much. Nice to know it was there though. There was a well stocked kitchen with utensils, pots etc. The washer and dryer were and added bonus.

Great Location in Quiet Cul de Sac

This is our third time at this property and every time it's been a huge part of a great vacation. The house is at the end of a Cul de Sac with no neighbors on either side. Very quiet and restful. The house and property is clean and well maintained and being partial to the outdoors, the barbecue, table and chairs, and outdoor shower, all in the first floor piling space, was used often. The Internet was fast and reliable. We enjoyed the house, its amenities and its outdoor conveniences.

Indeed an Oceanside Dream

We had a fabulous two week summer holiday w/family andfriends! The home was charming, cozy, well-equiped and conveniently located near the beach. Vicky was extremely responsive, friendly and delightful to work with. This is a place to which we would definitely return!

Renewal of mind, body, and spirit

What a wonderful home. The ice machine was a lifesaver. Everything you need to be comfortable so you can relax. Everything was so clean and tidy! The hippie Luna Lanai was my favorite spot. What a wonderful short walk to the beach. The surf was awesome. Off shore winds the whole week. We will definitely be staying again. Pure bliss.

Second year at this property

This Bosun Court house was perfect for our needs! Three teens and two adults...beds were comfy, hammocks were awesome, outdoor shower was used a lot, and the ice machine was a lifesaver! Oh and the beach supplies, too....what a huge help! Had a great week...can’t wait until next year

Great Salvo Rental

This is a nice single-family house rental tucked inside tress at the end of a cul-de-sac in Salvo. The house was plenty big enough for our family of 6. Loved the location: (1) a short walk to the beach on the Atlantic side, and (2) centrally located to be a short drive from the southern area of Hatteras and Ocracoke and the northern area of Bodie, Roanoke, and Nags Head. We appreciated the heated outdoor shower to rinse off after a day of visiting the beach. Would definitely stay again!

a few calm days at the beach

the property is basically fine. it would be improved by enlarging the windows and a screened area...so that you can enjoy the fine weather and breezes. it is a house on stilts at the beach. better would be a house that melds the indoors and outdoors..as i is now you are either in/ac/out. it would be nice if the main stairs did not have a dripping gutter right up the middle of them. we really enjoyed the outdoor shower

Wonderful stay in Salvo

Really enjoyed our stay in Salvo. The property was perfect for our family of 5. We spent our days on the beach and late afternoons on the hammocks. We grilled one night, made a few crockpot meals, and ate out several nights. The outdoor shower was a huge hit....we all used it more often than the indoor showers. Finally, the washer and dryer and beach stuff were a godsend! Many thanks!!

Like Being Home

This property is at the back of a dead-end street and an easy one-block walk to the beach. It’s quiet and secluded in trees and is well supplied; it’s like being home. The air conditioning works great and the enclosed outdoor shower was perfect for a quick, convenient clean. This was our second visit in two years and we look forward to the next one.

Great location!

We had the best beach trip staying in this house! The house is in a great location. It is close to the beach access, but also private, as it is located at the end of the street. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. The beach in Salvo is very nice. It is beautiful and not crowded. We felt like we had the beach to ourselves at times! We plan to stay here again next year!

Perfect!

We had a great time! The house was very accommodating for our family of five. The house was very clean, the neighborhood was quiet, the house was in a great location, beach access was close and some of the supplies (chairs, boogie boards, etc) were a huge perk. Dollar general was close as well as a small market.. Avon was a short distance with more resteraunts and a great fishing pier. There was menus in the home which helped with food choices. Books and games for the kids to enjoy during their down time. The master bathroom having a jetted and the room having a private balcony was a huge perk. Vicky responded quickly with any questions. This was our first big family vacation and we'll worth it.

Wonderful vacation!

The house was perfect size for our family of 4. The kids had their own rooms and bathroom and there was a lovely jacuzzi tub in the master bath. We enjoyed many afternoons relaxing on the deck and just taking in the peace and quiet. It was VERY clean and had many great amenities. The outdoor shower was so useful after long days at the beach! It was a perfect location to the beach and a nice, safe, quiet neighborhood. We would absolutely stay there again! Thank you for a really amazing place to stay in OBX!
