SunDream is a two-bed, one-bath home in the magnificent Yucca Valley, with epic 100-mile views from snow-capped Big Bear to the High Desert. The house sits on an ecologically diverse 5-acre lot natural setting and provides connectedness to the calm and beautiful landscape. The unique glass pool is oriented so that you may truly enjoy the sunrise and sunsets as you float, framed by radiant light, Monet desert skies, and 150-year-old Joshua Trees.

absolutely loved my stay at this property and fully intend to return several more times in the future. Derek and his wife were truly the best hosts I’ve ever had when renting a vacation home. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly down-to-earth, which made the experience even more special.The house itself is beautifully designed, with a stylish desert aesthetic that perfectly complements the surrounding landscape. The views were unforgettable—the sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking, and at night, the stars lit up the sky in a way that felt magical. The location is wonderfully peaceful and secluded, offering a sense of complete escape from city life.The pool and jacuzzi were also highlights. Both were kept at the perfect temperatures, which made them ideal for relaxing during warm days and cool summer nights. We had originally planned to stay just one night but ended up extending our visit to three because it felt so comfortable and inviting—like a true home away from home.It was an incredibly relaxing and memorable experience, and I’m so grateful to Derek and his wife for sharing their beautiful property with us.

Great summer getaway

This was the perfect place for my wife and I to get away from city life for a week. The house was clean and well taken care of. Everything was well stocked and the pool was perfect for what we needed. There's an abundance of wildlife around the area if you're into that sort of thing. Lastly, the host was easy to work with and provided excellent local restaurant suggestions.

Perfect Joshua Tree getaway

I came here with a friend for a weekend getaway in the summer. The house itself has a really cool design and the property is stunning, especially at sunset/sunrise and at night with all the stars. We got some amazing pictures. The pool was perfect for the summer weather. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The only small issue we had was with getting ubers/rideshares, as several of them cancelled and a couple had some complaints about the couple miles of dirt road they had to drive down to get to the house. We ended up taking our own car after this and it was much easier. Overall had a great time :)

Immaculate getaway in the desert

Place was stunning and location was perfect for some privacy, star gazing and relaxation. Record player in the living room was the perfect touch. We utilized pretty much every aspect of this home from the hot tub to the bath tub in the cute picturesque pink bathroom. WiFi was a bit spotty, so be mindful of that. However, we came to enjoy the outdoors, so this wasn’t an issue. Place was close to JT, local shops and places to go. I would definitely book this again.

Wonderful stay!

What a wonderful stay! Communication was excellent and the property did not disappoint. We had a great pool day , relaxed outside and watched the stars at night. The mornings are not to be missed with epic sunrises. Dark evenings with the brass lamp on was a favorite, along with reading about the local area and plants in the living room. Well worth the trip cross country. Highly recommend

Quick Trip to Joshua Tree

We had a perfect experience! The communication was great between the owners. The house was adorable and just a short trip to multiple hikes. The views at night AND morning are incredible and I’d definitely recommend this house to anyone.

Hello! We are very excited to share OUR home with you. SunDream IS our desert home and we are NOT professional Airbnb'ers. Most importantly, we are Cat Parents to three rescue babies, Peaches, Mochi, and Princess Peanut Butter. We live only 2 hours away in Los Angeles and thoroughly enjoy coming to the desert to just freaking relax, cook, listen to records, and bathe in the quiet and the sunlight.

Visible from EVERY room in the house is 'Big Ben,' our 150-year-old Joshua Tree 15 feet from the back patio. A monument to the desert's robust yet fragile raw beauty, resilience, and a cherished 'guardian' of our home. Our Pool is LITERALLY one of a kind in the desert with a unique opportunity to 'float' above the desert!!!
