Good experience

Great location for a few days tubing and kayaking on the river. Close to the state park entrance and Close to Lake City too. House was clean and the owner was very responsive, check in was very easy! Will rent again.

Basic Accommodations

This property was adequate for a clean place to sleep and shower. We needed an inexpensive place for basically just sleeping and this property worked for that. The 3-star rating I’d give it is not a reflection of our experience (which was fine). Rather that is the level of quality of this property. It is nothing fancy but it is clean and adequate and affordable.

Great host communication

Vrbo app would not deliver messages from host - including check in info. Host was very responsive via text/phone to give us the needed info.

weekend stay

stayed here for the weekend with friends to watch the football game and check in was very easy however, it needed to be checked before we arrived. I had to wipe down the bathroom mirror because it looked like someone had sprayed it but never actually wiped it. overall not too bad.

Convenient

It was clean. Bathroom was very nice, but needs a grab bar and a towel bar. Washer and dryer works great. Television in bedroom was good with a simple remote. Living room television remote was very complicated. Overall, a nice place to stay. Only real complaint was the night traffic, but the house is on a busy road.

Awful

Upon arrival we walked on porch terrible smell from garbage can with garbage in it flies yard had not been cut open door to inside there were several cockroaches laying on the floor the smell in the house was awful we stayed about ten min called property told him condition of the house was very rude accused us of putting bugs in the house we drove four hours with expectations of having somewhere descent to stay this house was awful we had to leave and make other arrangements could not even stay there. Would not recommend anybody stay there house was poorly maintained

Disappointed

The house is old.There are only 3 usable electric outlets throughout the cottage. There is a large fish tank in the LR that has 2 large gold fish in it. There is so much alge in the tank that you can hardly see the fish. There are no instructions on feeding & care etc. Floor has soft spots and ceramic tiles all chipped. The cottage is not in a rural or scenic area. It is on a main road with a good amount of traffic. Every morning between 2am-5am semi trucks start up and leave. It’s impossible to sleep through it. Appliances were in good shape. Front door entry has 4 wooden steps. 2 have rotten wood and are unsafe to step on. The tv is not Cable. Only Chanel’s are through antenna and quality is not good. The twin beds in the 2nd bedroom is trundle, the mattresses are thin and on wire frame. I will not recommend this property to anyone, nor will I ever rent it again.

Fort white stay

Perfect place to lay our heads between dives, close to Ginnie, Jug and Amigos and close enough to Little River and Peacock to be very convenient. Property owner was very responsive.
