Ellie's Crab Shack is a beautiful beach home right on the Cape. You are literally steps from the beach and awesome sunsets! This one of a kind home has just been newly renovated and will be the beach house you and your family will continue to come to for years! Scalloping, fishing, bonfires, and hanging out in the cabana area under the house will be your favorite activities while you’re here! Our dog Ellie’s favorite thing is to search for crabs and she's sure your furry friend will love it too!

Great getaway with our pup!

This was our first time visiting Cape San Blas and we will definitely back! We enjoyed the quick access to the beach for easy walks with our dog. Very quiet and friendly neighborhood was great for a relaxing weekend.

Great house!

The location is great on Cape San Blas. The dune restoration should be done in a month or so and the public beach access back open. We would stay here again for sure!

Perfect beach house

The house was adorable and super close to the beach. Beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed. It was also a very short drive to the state park. Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay, we would definitely stay here again!

A perfect weekend getaway

We had the perfect stay at this beach house. It was exactly what we were looking for! Close to to the beach, spacious kitchen, plenty of room to play games, share meals and lay back. The beach is a 5 minute walk, so it was easy to spend time there whether it was for a full day or a morning/sunset walk. Fully recommend!

Family Kayaking Trip

We had a wonderful time at this cute cottage! It is clean, cozy, and well appointed. Everyone had ample space and we enjoyed the close proximity of the beach and relaxing on the side porch. We will plan to stay next time we come to kayak in the bay!

Comfortable and short walk to the beach

Wonderful house very close to an amazing beach.

The house was perfect for us. The host was responsive to our needs. The area was wild and beautiful especially the nearby state park where we rented kayaks to explore the bay. We had a great time at nearby Scully’s Low Country Shrimp Boil. The beach was wide and beautiful with fine white sand and lots of shells, fascinating to see what the tides brought in.

Wonderful Family Vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ellie’s Crab Shack! The home was clean, beds were comfortable, and the beach is a very short walking distance away. A coffee bar, soft toilet paper, starter bathroom toiletries, hand soap at all sinks, and a beautifully lighted garage/cabana area under the house are a few special touches that added to the enjoyment of our stay. I would recommend this rental to anyone who is searching for a relaxing beach vacation! My family and I look forward to returning!

The Cape

This was our 1st visit to The Cape. I would HIGHLY recommend our host. She made everything super easy and communication was fast and excellent. Location was very convenient to the water and dining. You dont have to worry a out a good nights sleep as the host has spared no expense on excellent mattresses in all of the rooms.

Spring Break

The house was great! short walk from the beach short walk to restaurants and trail down towards the state park for morning walks. Love the outdoor shower, coming off the beach in the afternoon hot and sticky with sand made cleaning off and getting ready so much easier for everyone. The screened in porch with the view of the water was so relaxing, we spent most of our time out there. Would book again😁

Great location!

Very clean. Just steps away to the beach. Property manager was very attentive. Pet friendly. Would come back again. The only downside was there wasn’t a grill while we were there- but I believe they are working on getting one.

Great getaway

We had a great stay at the cottage. We were 4 adults, 2 kids, and dogs and there was enough room for us all (although upstairs bathroom is pretty small!). The cottage is very close to the beach so easy to go back and forth all day which we did. There are a few minor maintenance issues (missing towel hooks, loose towel hooks, stove light not working, etc) but nothing major - hopefully they will be addressed soon. The beds are also very firm which I didn't love but others thought were fine - some sort of mattress topper would have helped a lot. The couches in the living room are super comfy.

Great cottage at the beach

The wife and I decided to have a short “work action” at the beach. We could not have been more pleased. The house was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. The beach is a short 2 minute walk away and the covered porch is great for watching the sunset. The only issue we ran into was the A/C going out one time. I contacted the owner and a maintenance man was at the house within 45 minutes. He fixed the issue within a few minutes. Great service!!! Highly recommend.

Hidden Gem in Cape San Blas

We just got back from staying here for our annual trip to Cape San Blas, and it was PERFECT. We brought our three young kids (ages 2-6) and three big dogs, and there was more than enough space to spread out. The house was very, very clean - I’m neurotic about cleanliness, and this was the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in. The public beach is a quick 1-minute walk from the house (if you have a lot of gear, I’d recommend renting a golf cart). This part of the beach can get a little crowded by Cape San Blas standards (expect 10-20 feet between you and the next party), so we decided to check out the National Parks. The one just to the south of the house (2 min drive) is deserted, and we LOVED it! Also, the kitchen is just stocked with basics, so if you’re planning any elaborate meals, make sure to bring what you know you’ll need. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic Beach House

Booking was a breeze and the property exceeded expectations. Bedrooms were roomy, living room was comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. The outdoor areas were a favorite. A screened porch upstairs and a large covered deck downstairs. Shaded parking space below the home was a great relief from the summer heat and rain. A public beach access complete with restroom and showers was just a few houses down the street. Beaches were not crowded (July 4th Week) and were a soft and clean walk. Cape Trading Post and Scallop Cove Bait & Tackle / Gas / General Store are a short drive on the cape and have all the essentials (food, drinks, hardware, gifts, toys and light tackle). Scallop Cove has a free air pump for floats or to air up your tires after driving on the beach (Beach Driving Permit is Required to Drive on Beach). We will be back!

Wunderschönes Holzhaus nahe dem Strand. Wirklich schöne Lage. Toller Strand. Nette Orte in der Nähe. Wirklich toll. Wenn man etwas braucht meldet sich die Vermieterin sofort. Jederzeit wieder.

We bought this property because we knew it was a diamond in the rough! You can see before pictures online if you google it and it is definitely a transformation! We love the cozey feel to it but also the tropical vibes and of course, being right at the beach! The sunsets are absolutely amazing and we can't wait to help you make memories for years to come for your family vacations!
