Everything was perfect! Location of this home is superb! Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which was great. Very clean. Easy access to the beach. We enjoyed the screen porch every night. We had a small issue the night we arrived, and although it was no fault of theirs, the owners were very responsive & remedied the problem in literally minutes. Carol was also quick to respond & VERY accommodating when i asked for her recommendation of locations to access the bay. Carol & Phil went above and beyond to make sure our vacation was perfect! Seriously the best hosts ever!

Almost perfect

This house was beautiful. The location was as close to perfect as it could be. We had incredible weather. Everything was wonderful all week… until we left. About two hours into our trip home, we received intense and very rude accusations (not questions) about damage done to bar stools and a coffee table. The cleaning person decided to send photos on this particular day and accuse us of “destroying” the bar stools and leaving water rings on a coffee table to the point that it would need to be refinished. (See photos). Thankfully, I was able to show that the damage was already on the stools from their own photos which had been posted on VRBO more than two years ago. As far as the coffee table, I guess it is possible that we didn’t comply perfectly with the use of coasters. But you can judge for yourselves if the watermarks (which could have been there for years) warranted our paying for a piece of furniture to be completely refinished. There were certainly a few issues with the house that we could have complained about during the week, but we did no such thing. We were having a wonderful and relaxing vacation, not picking the house apart and creating a list of complaints. The only time we did reach out to Carol was on the first night. The Ring camera spotlight right outside the master bedroom on the deck kept flashing on and off in the middle of the night. It was extremely bright and lit up the bedroom each time, even with the blinds closed. Carol responded right away and tried

Can't beat this location

This was the perfect spot. The house was super clean and the location is great. The beach was uncrowded and of course beautiful. Carol and Phil were very responsive and replied promptly to all of our inquiries, including when we were at the property. We would definitely stay at one of their properties again!

Heaven on Earth

This is my third time renting this house for a week and quite literally, it just keeps getting better. The house is absolutely to die for and is always in pristine condition. The view is like a glimpse of heaven. The beach is incredible... beautiful, white, corn starch soft sand. And at night, the sky is lit up with thousands of stars. It just doesn't get ANY better than this. And then there's Carol and Phil.. two of the most beautiful, genuine, kind, compassionate human beings that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. This world would be a much better place if there were more people like Carol and Phil in it. Seriously, this is probably the BEST property you could find in the Cape. If you have the chance to rent this house... DO IT!!! Do it and see what it feels like to live in heaven. You won't regret it... I promise you. Thank you again for everything Carol and Phil. Once again, my family had the best vacation we could have ever hoped for. I appreciate you all so much and I can't wait to see you again.

Perfection

We absolutely loved this house! It was gorgeous from top to bottom. We enjoyed every day walking right onto the beach and every evening watching the sunset from the porch! It truly was the most wonderful escape for our family!

Just book it

If you can’t decide…choose this place The photos in the listing do not do this home justice. It is very nice. It is fully stocked with everything you will need. Beautiful home. Tons of stuff close by. State park, restaurants, the tradin’ post, Seafood markets, beach rentals. Even more stuff in Port St. Joe and it’s not far, at all. Plenty of stuff to do, buy and eat if you want Now for the meat and potatoes. The view from the main room and the two west side bedrooms is stunning. I didn’t include the porch in that sentence because it deserves a couple of it’s own. The porch is unbelievable. It’s 50 or so feet long by ten or so feet wide. The full length of the home. Fully screened in with comfortable furniture to lounge while you gaze at the spectacle before you. The back porch was my favorite room The beach is flat and pretty empty. There is a nature preserve/park just south of the house. There are folks that come to the beach from that park but there are no houses. Beach feels very private Sunsets, you say? Wow. Rivals any I’ve witnessed through my travels along the gulf coast and elsewhere. Seriously, you need to make sure you’re on the beach when it’s going down Had one of my full grown youngsters shed a tear or two when we were leaving Saturday morning. That hasn’t happened in SEVERAL years. That’s when you know you hit the jackpot. Thank you for that Worth every penny and then some Just book it

Relaxing week on the Beach

We had a great stay at this house. The house was very spacious for five people, with beautiful views of the beach from almost every room. Very quiet section of the beach which was nice. We had a great time and it was very relaxing.

The Best Kept Secret on the Cape

Quite literally, the most perfect vacation I could have ever hoped for. The house/property was immaculately kept, the views were to die for, the beach was absolutely pristine, and Carol & Phil are just about the most beautiful, down-to-earth, kind, generous human beings I have ever had the privilege to know. They go above and beyond to ensure your happiness and overall satisfaction with everything. You literally couldn't want for anything more.... thank you, thank you, thank you... truly the best vacation of my life and I'm so glad that I got to spend it here. Amazing place and Amazing Stay

If you're looking for great views and a beautiful house for your vacation, you can't go wrong. This was our second year here and I will always want to return again! Phil and Carol are great hosts, very responsive if you need them for anything. We actually had a storm come through during our stay and something needed attention afterwards. Within less than an hour after my very early AM call (which Carol answered) the issue was fixed and they even came to check on us a little later that morning. You can't ask for more than that. I would highly recommend this for a perfect get away!

Awesome Week

This is a great property, location and host. The property looked exactly like the pictures. Everything was perfect for our spring break getaway with family and friends. Carol, the host was awesome and responded exceptionally quickly to anything we needed and asked. Cape San Blas is a great area with beautiful beaches and food nearby. Excellent week and highly recommend the area and this property. We will be back and love to stay with this host again.

The Perfect Porch

All you really need is a cup of coffee in the morning or the glass of wine in the evening to sit on the perfect porch and enjoy the sea sounds, sights, smells! Recharged our spirits!

Absolutely PERFECT!

I booked this trip over a year ago. I was so scared because we have never visited Cape San Blas. We have been beaching for years, but had never heard of this "forgotten island". But, this beach surpassed our expectations!! AND The HOUSE could not have been more perfect for our first visit. It is so beautiful inside and out!! The appliances, the tools for everything is in the house organized and ready! Ms. Carol & Mr. Phil were always willing to make suggestions and recommendations. Private beach area, we felt like we were on a private island, and the porch overlooking the ocean.... just perfect... we will be back!
