Quaint, private space with separate entrance located in larger vintage home (circa 1915). This space is located on the upper level (must climb outside stairs to enter). Just a short walk to historic downtown, the Andy Griffith Museum, Wally's Service Station, Squad Car Tours, and the amphitheater. (Not ideal for handicap or disability situations due to entrance stairs)

The apartment was perfect for our stay in Mount Airy, NC. It was clean, the owner communicated with us when needed, abundance of towels were provided, and the area was very quiet.If you’re up for a long walk, it’s a great location for Main St. It was a little further than what we thought but it was fine, free parking on the main drag.

We had such a wonderful time staying in the little vintage apartment. Everything was clean and so wonderful, including the retro kitchen. It was within walking distance to EVERYTHING! We will definitely stay there during our next visit.

The unit was pretty much as pictured. The two air-conditioning units were pretty loud and went off and on during the night. But the amenities were good and we enjoyed our stay.

We ejoyed the retro feeling of this place, the old stove, old refrigerator which was still cold! Decor was very well thought out. Kudos!. My wife has trouble with steps, but took her time and did well. The bed was extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend for a long weekend.

The property was easy access and the owner quick to respond with any questions. We really enjoyed our stay except the freezer needed thawed and we didn't want to use the freezer burned ice cubes. It was a very quiet neighborhood with access to a lot within a short distance.

Neat retro unit. The only problem had nothing to do with the unit or our host. The power went out due to a storm for about 5 hours. You can’t beat Mother Nature.

The wife and I rented this apartment for a place to stay for the wine festival. It was perfect. It was within walking distance to downtown and had everything we wanted. The host was great, he doesn't have a lot of check in or check out things. The apartment was clean and comfortable with a full kitchen. We'll probably stay here next year for the wine festival.

Good bed, quiet street. I would stay here again. There was a vintage charm to the place (very Mayberry!), and I found it to be everything I needed. I was a guest author in for a book signing at Pages Books & Coffee, and this spot was perfectly situated to make it easy to get to the bookstore.

The property was very clean and organized. We loved the period appliances and decor. They reminded us of the appliances used by our grandparents. They were all in good working order so rather than going out to one of the many restaurants in the area we enjoyed cooking our meal and having a nice meal in that evening. Everything we needed for our stay was right there. We went to a nice grocery store nearby and bought what we needed for a nice meal. The bed was very comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet so we had a very good nights sleep.

We really were only there to sleep - out and about during the day time and evening hours. Bed was comfortable, shower was hot (in the good way). Apartment was clean, bathroom stocked with towels/cloths. Kitchen is very retro - looks cool, but we didn’t use it outside of placing a few items in the refrigerator. Quiet neighborhood, short walk from the Mt. Airy historic downtown. Short drive to chain stores / restaurants if that’s your thing.

We loved this vintage apartment. The place was clean and orderly. The vintage fridge is so cool!! I loved the old-timey ice tray. It was literally a 5 minute walk to the museums and the shops. Once we got to Mt.Airy, we didn't use any gas until we left. We were so close to everything. The restaurants we dined at were delicious and all within walking distance. The neighborhood was quiet, without all the hustle and bustle of the city. No dogs barking or police sirens. Everyone we came in contact with was so kind. Our host was great. Everything was ready and waiting on us for check in. Darryl answered any messages within minutes. We are already planning another trip and will definitely be booking this place again. This place was perfect for us. Id give this 10 stars if it was an option.

So close to walk downtown and to the Andy Griffith highlights. Steep steps and deep tub might make it difficult for some, but we enjoyed our stay.
