The house was older but clean and kitchen supplied well. The location is amazing! Sits in a more private area that’s not crowded.

Great location

We enjoyed our vacation at this house on the beach. It was an excellent location and enjoyed sunrises and enjoyed watching the moon over the ocean as well. We saw dolphins playing very close to the shore. I recommend it.

The location of the house was great. It could use a little bit more up keep. It has broken blinds, some doors don’t shut all the way, uneven floors. The beach front deck is amazing except for windy days. Overall it was a great stay at a great location.

Great location!!! Easy to get on the beach, and quick drives for groceries, food, entertainment. Hotbwater outdoor shower is great!! Parking is difficult with larger vehicles due to all of the sand that was on the driveway. Overall clean, but tub was unusable due to buildup. Broken blinds, uneven floors, and doors that dont open or close well. Overall okay stay.

The location is absolutely stunning, beach is quiet and clean, house was exactly as pictured. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Ten steps to the beach

Deck and location were an A right on the beach! Living, dining, kitchen were B- OK, but not the best. Baths were a C…just OK. Bedrooms were C to C. The house is older and has had some repairs. Side screen door does not fit, water entered around sliding doors in storm, and floors were uneven and spongy in places.

Great location!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It's hard to get closer to the beach and the layout is the house was great. It's proximity to shops and restaurants is nice too. Unfortunately, the floor has settled so the vinyl plank tiles are needing repair, the ac vent in on of the bedrooms leaked onto the queen bed below and the rug in the hallway is held down by a metal strip that's a hazard. Overall, we recommend this place with a few minor changes.

Sister Trip

You are paying for the view. There are no extras i.e coffee, salt/pepper, pizza cutter. A/C not working, window units put in. Dishwasher broken. No biggie, we washed our own dishes. Washing machine flooded everywhere however they promptly fixed. Has not had a thorough cleaning for some time. The nightly rate is very excessive for the condition of the house but the view is exceptional.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We will definitely be staying at the home again! The only items that need attention are the rocking chairs on the deck as both were had a broken arm. Other items can be easily overlooked as we rented the house mainly because of the location on the beach.

Our stay

We had several mishaps with our rental. I do believe enough to try another company next time. Rental was great for location. The rest need some work. Staff was quick to respond via message. I had the “linen people” knock on our door after 9pm telling me some story about a part they were looking for like day three of our trip. Mind you the sliding doors on the deck wouldn’t lock. I did let them know. Got the one fixed but not the other. So safety was low on satisfaction for us. They said they just got the property I booked the place in November so plenty of time to fix remedies. Just my honest review. I’ve stayed in other nicer beach fronts for same price range in the Outer Banks.

Fantastic Location and Views

Overall a beautiful beach vacation spot and very relaxing. The property is situated in a perfect location on the beach with great sunrise beach views and access all day. Short walk to pier. The property itself was clean and the management was great and responsive and we accessed on time with a code on door. The home has decent furnishings and ample space for our family with a newer deck and a few beach items if needed.This would have been 5 of 5 but for the steep price for the week the home does have a few opportunities that should be addressed such as some fogging slider windows, very sand covered driveway, many broken blinds and it would be nice to have screens on windows to listen to the ocean without opening the doors. Floors slope but for the age of the property its something to to just deal with for the location and worth it. Just needs some simple updates to fixtures and whatnot and this place is a gem!Outside of these opportunities you won't find a better location if you're looking to lounge at the beach or see sites in Kitty Hawk. Definitely better than the last site we stayed at and I would recommend it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property's location is the best, right on the ocean with an uncrowded beach. Overall I give this property a 4/5. It just needs some TLC. There are some easy repairs that the owners should take care of. The AC vents leak on the beds, master bath tub need new caulking, the pillows are in unusable condition and the kitchen pots and pans are beyond their years of use. We bought new pillows(took them home) and had 2 pans that could be used for cooking as we cook in a lot. I would return to this property, it was very clean with a great location. I would just pack pillows and pots and pans. Hopefully the owners can give this cute cottage some TLC in the off season.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the 4th year we stayed at this property. The rental agency went out of their way to make this a great time. We were lucky to have great weather and we loved the proximity to the beach. Two elderly people joined us and the closeness to the beach was perfect for them. The property was in good shape. Our only concern was the steps to the beach. The distance between the second last step and the last step was a little too far apart. Easy to misjudge the distance between the two. In fact one of our elderly folks misjudged the step. Saved by the sand and no injury. So close to mini golf, shopping and exploring the area. We have already rented this home again for 2024. We can't wait!!!! Thank you Coast Realty!

Great view & location, but dated and broken fixtures

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this house is perfect as it's close to many restaurants and shops. We decided to splurge this year and get an oceanfront house, since we typically get a house a few blocks back. For the amount paid (just over $5k), this house was not worth the price. All deck furniture was broken, which included plastic adirondack chairs and wooden rocking chairs. The stairs leading down to the sand had nail heads that stuck out at an angle. The master bedroom ceiling appeared to have had water damage at some point, because the tiles were buckled pretty badly in one area. A few panels on the walls were pulling away. The indoor furniture was comfortable. The house was clean when we arrived. We cooked many meals and found that the cookware was just what we needed. The house has potential to be worth the price, but the condition it was in during our stay was definitely not worthy of the price we paid.
