This Lakeside Retreat sleeps 4 comfortably and has been completely renovated with all the amenities to have a comfortable getaway along the shores of Lake Erie.
By going down the stone stairway, you have access to the lake itself , actual water level. Although swimming is discouraged , you might want to “cast a line “. Please no rock climbing!
You can enjoy watching fun lake activities from any of the three lake bank levels. The retreat’s lakeside bedroom opens onto the covered balcony above the covered patio. The Lorain Lighthouse is within sight, along with majestic sunsets, intriguing lake wildlife, and other marvels of Mother Nature. The Retreat’s large windows allow viewing from inside, as well. There is a gas fueled fire pit for your evening gathering as you wind down your day. Boat charters, jet skis, and kayak rentals are nearby. Summer concerts at Black River Landing just .6 mile away. Cedar Point and downtown Cleveland are only a 45 minute drive.

This was our third stay, and it was great as usual. The host is awesome from the start of the booking process, during the stay and upon departure. The location on Lake Erie is wonderful with daily changing views of the lake. The house and property are always immaculately clean.

"Enjoy the little things" Beautiful Lake front getaway with very relaxing views of Lake Erie!! The house was very clean and relaxing and felt like home!! Had everything available to make your stay comfortable!!Close to downtown Cleveland and Crocker park if you want to venture out. We will be back next Summer to enjoy the outdoor space and cook on the grill!! Owners were great to work with!! Thanks for sharing your place with us to enjoy, see you next Summer!!

The home was as advertised! I have stayed at many properties in my travels and this by far was the most impressive of them all. George (the host) was very accomodating and pleasant. He has thought of most things any visitor could need and delivered a 5 star experience for myself and family. The veiws of lake Erie from the waterfront property are breathtaking. The outdoor accommodations are equally as great as the interior of the home. I will definitely be returning in the spring. I just want to say thank you to George and Ron the neighbor who was very helpful and friendly.

My sister and I take one or two trips a year together. We have been doing this for 30 years. This was absolutely the best place we have EVER stayed!! The hosts were amazing and attentive. The location was beautiful. The house was unbelievably wonderful with absolutely everything you could ever need. We will definitely be back :)

Our experience was xcellent--the pics are exactly how it looks--it was very clean, super cozy and very well stocked in the kitche and bathrooms. The view was absolutely beautiful --we would love to come back--it was a 10/10

Wonderful lakeside property. Very clean and well maintained on a quiet street. We enjoyed the outside seating areas overlooking the lake. The house was well stocked with supplies and had all the amenities we needed. Would definitely stay here if we are in the area again.

My sisters and I had a wonderful stay at the lakeside retreat house. This was our second stay and everything was very clean and the house had everything we needed. We are so pleased, our host he was a phone call away if we needed anything which is very comforting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The Victorola and the selection of music was an added bonus. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the upper patio while watching the Neighbourhood eagle and various other sea birds. We even had a surprise visitor, the local groundhog. Everything we could possibly want to make our stay enjoyable with furnished. We loved our stay at the Lakeview retreat.

This house is the perfect place for rest and relaxation. This was our third stay and we enjoy it more every time. The house is new and clean and has every amenity imaginable. The neighborhood is very quiet, the view of the lake is ideal, and there are several different comfortable places to sit outside. This is my wife's and my favorite VRBO. We plan to continue going back. I can't recommend it more highly for couples wanting to get away from it all.

This vacation rental is a true gem that I would give 10 stars if I could. We have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals and this one ranks among the top. To start, the location is beautiful. It was so tranquil sitting on the water and we didn't experience any noisy neighbors. The house was immaculate and they thought of everything you might need, from a well stocked kitchen to the little amenities like cords in the bedrooms and living room to plug in your devices. The air conditioning was fantastic and the beds were really comfortable, which is a make it or break it for me. Also, both bathrooms upstairs had big walk-in showers, which we appreciated. The location was great, only a few blocks from main street and a half mile to the wonderful public beach. We came to celebrate our 25th anniversary and it was perfect! We can't wait to go back again.

Great Getaway on the Erie Shore

Cleanliness impeccable.Very well equipped. Great setting directly on Lake Erie Shore.Enjoyed the great views of the Lake from the sun & dining rooms and from the outdoor patio and the back bedroom and adjoining upper deck. We especially enjoyed the sunsets from the small back yard patio overlooking the lake.

Lakefront Paradise

This Lakefront house is even better than the pictures. It is the best rental we have ever stayed at. Whoever cleans the house does an awesome job. Both the upstairs and downstairs rooms are superb, beds are comfortable, ceiling fans in each bedroom along with ceiling fans in every room downstairs except the kitchen also.All bathrooms have been remodeled along with the entire house inside and outside. The 2 main bathrooms upstairs are awesome. Large old fashioned soaking bathtub and walk-in shower in 1 bedroom and large walk-in shower in the other bathroom. Appliances are up to date and comfortable couch and chair in front room that looks out over Lake Erie. Outside the back is table and chairs to overlook the Lake and at edge of back room is a gas firepit with chairs and 2 small tables. You can then walk down concrete steps to a upper concrete pad with old large concrete benches and then walk down to a lower level that is also concrete that extends to the large rocks that protect the property. Also outside is a bbq grill that is hooked up thru a natural gas line, no need to worry about running out like small propane bottles. The grill was scrubbed and clean and was not dirty or filthy. Oh also, outside the upper bedroom facing the lake is a walk out to a large balcony with chairs and table with awesome views. Quite neighborhood and close restaurants and downtown and Lakefront park with beach.Easy to communicate with owner if needed. You will not be disappointed.

This property is AMAZING! The view is STUNNING! The fire pit was FABULOUS! The house is absolutely gorgeous with high end decor all around and fully stocked with EVERYTHING you could possibly imagine. The thoughtfulness that George and Ron put into making this stay perfect is evident and there is not enough room to list them all (Bag of ice, mints, movies, games, music, toiletries, first aid supplies, even ketchup and mustard :)) You name it and it is probably there somewhere. I highly recommend this house for your next stay. It was perfection.

Lovely, comfortable, clean, well appointed, right on the lake

We stayed here over th long graduation weekend at Oberlin. Wish we had found it earlier in her 5 years. Oberlin is a straight shot down from the lake, 13 miles, an easy & relaxing 25 min The title gives our summary of the property. We particularly enjoyed the many herons and occasional osprey cruising by the water's edge up high. Lovely sunsets too! Attentive, helpful, unobtrusive hosts.

My stay at the Lakeside Retreat residence was for my 13 year Anniversary. We enjoyed the quietness and the view. My host was a blessing because he let me come early and that really helped us with traffic. So thanks again! Very nice place I would definitely come again.

Fantastic property

We’ve stayed in rentals in San Diego, SC, NC, KY, FL, AZ & more. I’ve learned to pack all sorts of ‘just in case’ items, and in this trip, I needed NONE of them. Plenty of towels, tissues, seasonings, trash bags, extra blankets, games, outdoor chairs and cushions, local information, sewing kits, and even ear plugs. This was the first rental I didn’t feel the need to clean surfaces prior to using them. Perfect stay!
