Private location but close to town. Immaculate home with lots of space to spread out. Great views from inside and a massive outside deck. Plenty of cookware and utensils, large fridge and gas range. StSStayed

Fabulous!

This beautiful home and property exceeded our expectations, and made for a fabulous family getaway. We spent 3 1/2 weeks there and never tired of the wonderful view from the deck. The home is modern, clean, comfortable, and spacious, affording everyone space for privacy and get togethers. Location is very convenient for getting to town and the beautiful Lake Nighthorse. We were so impressed that we have already planned a return visit.

Perfect

My wife & our 3 daughters (14, 20, 22 yrs) stayed for a week & loved the home. Pitt of town & quiet, but close to Durango, Mesa Verde NP & other attractions. We enjoyed seeing deer daily, and we ate on the deck every morning & evening.

Not one bad view in the whole house. Kitchen had every cooking utensil you could need. Plenty of bathrooms. We would stay here everytime!

Amazing property with views of the mountains!

This house is beyond beautiful and clean! The outside stairs leads to the main level as you enter, complete with a kitchen, dining room, living room, den and king en suite bedroom/bathroom. Downstairs from the living space has another king en suite bedroom/bathroom, queen en suite bedroom/bathroom, laundry and a small kitchen. There is a door to exit directly out to the car which made for easy loading and unloading of luggage. The beds were comfortable and there was an abundance of linens and towels. The outside deck has a dining table, hammock and rockers and is perfect for viewing the sunset each evening. Working with the owner was seamless and we would absolutely love to return to this property some day.

Anything and Everything was provided! Beautiful Property!

Beautiful vacation rental. We brought our Golden Retriever and she had a blast and was just as comfortable as we all were. I’ve stayed in many cabin rentals, and this cabin rental is the first rental that every single detail was considered. We never had to leave and purchase a utensil, tea kettle, hand soap, zip lock bags, you name it, and the owner has thought of every single necessity you would need, to not have to leave and get it. They have a dog run with dog bowls if you forget that too! We were just amazed at the beauty and comfort provided, well worth the price , and we will definitely be back!

Durango Delight!

We stayed for a week and it was wonderful! The house was clean, with well equiped kitchen, and all the little extras you need for a truly comfortable stay. Communication was execellent and we plan to come back again! Thanks again Morris for a wonderful experience! The only negative part was having to leave!

Perfect place for getaway!

If you live in a city or even suburbans rent this house! It's truly spacious, there are three bedrooms far from each other, a volume ceiling on the main floor, and nice kitchen with everything you'd need. It's located in an isolated place but not too far from the road. The air is fantastic and the view from the windows is gorgeous! Highly recommend it!

Second Stay as Good as the First

This was our second stay at the property. We returned because we were very pleased the first time, and will return again in the future. Excellent location, close to Durango, yet off the beaten track. Lovely view of the snow-capped mountains. Well though floor plan. Lacking none of the amenities.

3rd time as a return guest!

This home is perfect. It’s peaceful, spacious and has everything my family and I needed during our stay. Morris has gracefully hosted us at his home for the past 3 years now. My husband , 2 dogs and infant loved making memories there cannot wait to go back again!

Clean and peaceful

Truly enjoyed our stay in this well maintained / clean home. Had everything we needed for a peaceful stay. Morris sent great communication and the home was a delight! This was an oversight on our part when booking, but the home has stairs required to access the outside and beautiful waxed hardwood floors that were difficult for our senior dog to navigate. Again, an oversight on our part, but would affect us staying there again so we figure it might be helpful knowledge for others.

Perfection!

This was our first visit in December. It had snowed before our arrival, and continued to snow all during our stay. It was magical, warm and cozy in the cabin with the fireplace crackling! Morris was great, checking in with us to ensure we had all we needed. It was just perfect.

Beautiful Mountain View

We have had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful house several times. This home is impeccably maintained and is incredibly well-appointed. The views are stunning (especially after a snow event). We love (even in the freezing cold) sitting on the deck enjoying the peacefulness, seeing the wildlife in the yard and starwatching at night. Thank you, Morris, for sharing your beautiful home!

Immaculate home, georgous view

This was our 2nd stay at this property, and it was just as perfect as the first time. The home was immaculate. The furnishings cozy and comfortable, and the view was lovely. The location is private, but close to Durango for grocery runs or a meal in town. Morris was lovely to deal with ad always.

A glorious month

The house was immaculate including the windows! It was the best stocked place we've ever stayed. The view was gorgeous and there were deer in the yard daily. Loved the rocking chairs and hammock. Only problem was that the internet wasn't great - bring boosters. Looking forward to getting out of the heat and spend another summer hiking, rafting and eating in Durango next year!

Wonderful Property

Great house. Very peaceful, yet close to Durango and all it has to offer. Beautiful sunset and mountain views from the big deck. Beautifully designed home with big rooms. Owner was wonderful and the home was incredibly well stock with everything you could need.

Great property. Average stay.

Pros Great property with large deck to enjoy the nature of Durango. Clean and ample amnesties. Calm neighborhood which is great to go for walks. Closer to the town. Excellent communication with the property owner, who was very responsive. Cons: Bugs and slow internet speed. Unfortunately we had big and strange looking insects visiting us many rooms everyday. We chalked it up as staying in the country. Still, waking up with a bug on your face or finding them in the closet was not a good experience for the children. On one particular day, we had a large outbreak of insects. I bought bug sprak, took care of them, and vacuumed. This freaked out the entire family. Two of the family members had school work to complete during the vacation. If one person was on video calls, the other one could not be on video calls or watch something. The network buffered bad, which was an issue for us.
