This property in Churchtown is a perfect retreat for groups of friends, two families, or a family with parents in tow. The home sits on 10 acres on a quiet country road and features a very private, heated in-ground pool and two separate properties: a restored three bedroom 1830s farmhouse and a converted two bedroom barn.
The main farmhouse retains much of its original detail, but has been completely updated to include central air conditioning, full-house generator, fully updated heating, new bathrooms and kitchen, and excellent Wifi.
A formal living room with original fireplace gets stunning light and overlooks the manicured garden. A spacious dining room opens up to a patio with a propane BBQ and outdoor seating. The chef's kitchen has everything you need to whip up the perfect meal, and off the kitchen is a cozy den / TV room and a full bathroom with a shower.
Upstairs are the three bedrooms (one king, one queen, one twin), an office nook and another full bathroom, all thoughtfully decorated in a modern farmhouse style.
20 meters or so from the main house gets you to the newly-built barn, which features reclaimed beams taken from the original barn that had been there before. The barn is decorated in a Scandinavian style and centers around an open-plan second floor space with high ceilings and windows on all four sides. This ensures the space is flooded with light throughout the day.
The barn includes a queen size bed, a spacious seating area and a dining table + kitchenette that was hand-built using original barn wood. A full bath with a skylight to watch the night skies completes the upstairs space. Downstairs is the fifth bedroom, with a queen bed and a built-in desk made from original barn wood. Please note that the only bathroom for the barn is upstairs, and the entire second floor is open floor-plan .

An enchanting stone staircase leads up to the extremely private, heated in-ground pool that gets the sun throughout the day and has breathtaking views of the Catskills (just wait for the sunsets!). The pool area includes a pool house with a refrigerator, half bathroom and an outdoor shower (hot and cold water). A large deck with sofas, loungers and an outdoor dining table completes the picture!
