Bring the whole family (6BR, 3.5Bath-sleeps 14) to this amazing 4500 sq ft country escape in Ghent, backing up to a farm with horses & peacocks. Spanning ~5 acres with no neighbors in site, and Berkshire views, it's tough to not feel at peace . Relax poolside, stare at the mountains and stars in the custom built outdoor barrel sauna, play yard games, BBQ in the screened in porch, and cook in the chef's kitchen. Dining table seats 12.

Late night watch the 65" flat screen in the Entertainment Room or sit by the fire pit. 10 min to Hudson & Chatham.

-Recently upgraded Chef's Kitchen with Wolf range and dual wall oven/microwave. Coffee and cooking supplies provided
-Two large seating areas: Great room + Entertainment Room
-Entertainment Room has 65" tv with soundbar, live tv and all the streaming apps
-Dining table seats 8, and expands to 12
-1x Highchair for kids
-3.5 baths
-Hi speed wi-fi
-Bathrooms are stocked with towels, hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash
-Ample closet space throughout the house
-Never have dirty clothes with 2x washers and 2x dryers

-2x King bedrooms, both containing en suite bathrooms. Primary is absolutely massive with front seating area and a bonus loft containing a work space and exercise equipment. -2x Queen bedrooms
-One bedroom with 2x Twin beds
-One bedroom with 2x Full beds
-1x Crib with mattress and sheets. On wheels and can easily move throughout house

Outside:
-Enjoy the 20x40 heated pool, Memorial Day through Mid September. Pool towels and umbrellas for shade provided
-Star gaze in the newly built area with 6 person barrel sauna, next to the fire pit.
-Absolutely no neighbors in site, surrounded by nature in total peace and quiet
-Play yard games (Bocci, Horse Shoes and Corn Hole provided!) throughout backyard
-Screened in porch to keep the bugs away! Also contains built in grill
-Enjoy late night conversations by the fire pit
-Pick fresh herbs from our vegetable garden! Mint for Mojitos and Mint juleps, Thyme to season your meats on the BBQ and smell fresh lavender.
-Property backs up to a farm with horses and peacocks that often come over to say hello!
-Check out the old horse barn on the far side of the property
-The front of the house has clear Berkshire views!

4.5 STARS. We loved the open living spaces, the well-stocked kitchen, the comfortable beds, the heated pool, and the fire pit for stargazing. While a few minor areas could use some maintenance, overall we truly enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect spot for a family reunion with 11 people, kids, and our dog. Ghent is full of the friendliest people—my son even made a jogging buddy with a neighbor!

Gorgeous retreat

This is a beautiful house and property for a big group family / friends vacation. The land and views are wonderful, there is plenty of space for folks to spread out, including 2 living areas, the kitchen is spacious and well-equipped and the heated pool, barrel sauna, and fire pit made for the most fantastic vacation.

Beautiful getaway

We had a wonderful time in this house! It's large enough for a bunch of unrelated adults to feel comfortable, and has plenty of private spaces as well as communal ones. Communication with the host was excellent--quick and helpful. This is our second time staying here, and we'd be happy to do so again!

Family gathering

Well appointed, comfortable house. We had a gathering of family from near and far and the house provided a perfect opportunity to laugh, share, eat, and play. Everything was as described. We had a great stay.

Beautiful house

We were visiting the area for a wedding and this house was amazing for our group of 11. Lots of room, very clean and the owners were incredibly responsive. The property is gorgeous and the screened porch was great during a rainy weekend. Wish our schedules allowed us to stay longer, would love to go back!

Relaxing Week in Hudson

The home was welcoming and warm. The location was perfect and we totally enjoyed the peacocks and peahens roaming around to greet us in the morning. the house layout was great for the family and especially for the young ones. Hope to book again.

Thanksgiving 2024

This property was excellent for our family of 13 plus two dogs. We loved having a great t.v. room where kids could play and a second living area for the adults. Well equipped with games and puzzles. Great location for bucolic road walks. Summer would be great.

Relaxing Stay near Hudson, NY

The property is beautiful and peaceful. We really enjoyed sitting outside by the pool and taking walks in the area. The house is a bit dated, but it's very comfortable and has a lot of space. The drive to Hudson was convenient, and we enjoyed several excellent dinners and walking around the cute town. Joshua was very pleasant and responded quickly to any questions we had.

Family friendly home getaway

Short weekends w/ friends and family. Home had a nice spacious open kitchen to cook and enjoy our meals together. We skied at Catamount ski mountain which was 20 minutes away. Home is well furnished and cozy. Overall great weekend

Terrific House for a Family Vacation

It's a great house for a family vacation. Lots of bedroom space and bathrooms. Essentially all on one floor. Beautiful pool and sauna. Great screened in porch with built-in grill. Well stocked kitchen. Two sets of washers and dryers. Location is a bit isolated.

The house, pool and grounds are beautiful, and provide everything that a large family gathering might need. There are many different areas for people to gather and also to find room to be alone. Our group of 13 enjoyed the home and pool in Ghent. We were able to enjoy the area during the day, and return to a home that suited our needs well. We had an issue with a AC that Josh had taken care of during our time there. He was professional and quick to respond with any questions during our stay.

Perfect family ski trip homebase!

We stayed at the house with extended family for a ski trip weekend at Catamount. The drive was 30mins away and the house a wonderful place to relax together after a long day on the mountain. The house is spacious, bright, clean and tastefully decorated. The layout is comfortable and practical. The lovely, open-kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us all to gather and chat pre and post dinner. The sauna is a great perk with gorgeous views! Highly recommend! Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the pool.

Great home for a group!

My friends and I had a fantastic stay. The house is pristine and has spacious bedrooms and more than enough room for a large group. The screened in porch was great for us to hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather. The pool wasn't open because we were visiting too early in the season, but we still enjoyed sitting outside near it. The kitchen was clean, and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The house is nearby Hudson which was great to visit, and the hosts offered to send us recommendations as well. They were super responsive and helpful before and during our stay. I'd say if you're looking for a home that has a lot of space, is clean, and is good for a big group, don't hesitate and book now!

Family vacation

The overall experience was wonderful! I asked the owner many questions throughout the process and he always responded promptly and was very kind. The yard was wonderful for the kids and the dogs! The screened in porch was a huge hit for everyone. The bugs could get a bit much so having that area was amazing. We loved cooking in the big kitchen and using the large grill! Our family was looking for a house all on one floor and didn’t realize there were a couple steps up to the living room area/laundry. It would have been nice if there was more than one TV in the house and if some of the beds were bigger but overall it was a great visit!

Beautiful property, amazing pool and well decorated

We were a group of 11 adults, a 3 year old, a 6 month old baby and a dog celebrating my mom’s birthday. The house was spacious and had ample space for our families to spread out. The pool was fantastic and clean. A major rainstorm came through the area so we lost power the first 24 hours but our host was very communicative, checked in with us and kindly offered to extended our stay. The house has several 500, 1000 piece puzzles and we discovered how much we loved puzzles while waiting for the power company to restore power in the area. I would still highly recommend this home despite the one-off power outage. It’s beautifully decorated, great appliances and well equipped for a lovely family gathering.

Nice Property

We had a good stay. Property was as seen in pictures and on-line description. A very pretty and relaxing setting wi the daily visits from the neighboring peacocks. We had a few minor issues which the owner quickly addressed. Only drawback we identified is the bathroom layout. Two of the three full baths were en suite - leaving four bedrooms to share the remaining full bath. There was a half bath that helped. Also, only one bath had a walk-in shower. We had several seniors which created a little shower gridlock - especially since the other full baths were a bit slippery.
