Just 1 block from the beach, this impressive 4BR/3BA home delivers Oak Island perfection. Highlights include large upper and lower decks, ocean views, and a fabulous outdoor entertaining area -- complete with a bar, grill, and firepit in the backyard.
Located on a private street with no through traffic, this home provides a quiet haven amid beautiful mature oak trees. Local shopping, dining, and the Oak Island Pier are all within walking distance, while the Oak Island Golf Club is only 5 minutes away.

LIVING AREA
Cozy up by the gas fireplace in the sun-soaked living room. Kick back on the comfortable furniture and stream favorite shows on the Roku TV.

KITCHEN & DINING
Indulge your inner chef in the spacious kitchen, equipped with a full suite of appliances. A large kitchen island and plenty of granite counter space provide ample room to prep tasty meals.
When you’re ready to eat, gather at the rustic-chic dining table, or perch at the counter for four.

BED & BATH
This two-story home sleeps eight guests between four bedrooms.
Find quiet privacy in the master suite, which features a king bed and Roku TV. The spa-like en-suite bathroom offers a double vanity, large soaking tub, separate shower, and water closet.
Two more bedrooms each offer a king bed and a Roku TV, and a fourth bedroom has a queen bed and a Roku TV.
One guest bathroom is configured with a tub/shower combination, while the other has a walk-in shower.
An outdoor shower provides added convenience.

Admire partial ocean views or simply soak up the sun on your expansive porches and balconies.
Craft a cocktail at the outdoor bar while burgers sizzle on the gas grill, then gather around the wood-burning firepit and watch the stars come out!

Beautiful OKI Home Loved my month stay at this amazing beach home, and will definitely return!!Short walk to the beach, restaurants, and stores. Very conveniently located to Southport as well. The home has everything you could possibly need from a fully stocked kitchen, bedding, towels, and all your beach gear. Plenty of space, large rooms, and cozy decks!! Didn’t want to leave. Host was always quick to respond to my questions. Ty!

This was our families first stay in Oak Island and I can say when we go back this is the house we will choose. This house has everything you need, the kitchen is stocked with any type of item needles and then more. If you need an item for the beach they have it. A closet full of games, a pinging table, corn hole boards, I could go on. The fire pit outside is a nice place to end a day. The host was very responsive and friendly. We had 8 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of space for us all. You will not go wrong staying in this beautiful home.

Great OKI house!

Home is clean and well suited for six to eight people, easy walk to the beach and close to grocery stores and restaurants on the west end.

One month at the beach

We stayed 4 weeks at Ian’s beach house. Great location, very well equipped, access to garage and beach gears and games was great. Overall great value.

Had a Great Time!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The home was warm and inviting, and it checked all the boxes that you would expect in a vacation home. Lots of amenities! The homeowner was quick to respond to any questions we had. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Summer 2024 vacation

My family had a fantastic stay at Sunny Side Up! The owner was extremely nice and was concerned about our stay because we weathered the Tropical Depression #8. Due to the severe weather, he allowed us to stay an extra day. The house is beautiful and well situated. The nearby town of South Port is definitely worth spending a day at. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Sunny Side Up - The Perfect Beach Vacation Experience

We enjoyed our stay at Sunny Side Up SO much! The location is perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the beach. There are tons of beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas and sand toys and a couple of wagons to haul them to the beach. The kitchen is VERY WELL APPOINTED with all you need to cook and bake for a family. Granite counters and a large pantry. TVs and ceiling fans in each of the 4 bedrooms. We stayed a month with no issues. Ian, our host, was very attentive and made sure all was well. We hope to stay at Sunny Side Up again soon!

Wonderful, spacious home with great access to beach

Our family of 8 stayed at this property and we had plenty of space - It was enough for all of us to retreat to our individual spaces while being able to congregate when desired. The home was an easy walk to the ocean and the garage was stocked with many of the necessities that one would wish for.

Comfy Beds

This beach house has comfy beds and great Air Conditioning - which is very important during a July heat wave. It was super clean and short 6 minute walk to the beach. There were tons of beach toys, boogie boards and even a rolling cart to carry stuff. Kitchen was well appointed. We would stay here again - also host was very communicative!

Great home! Great location!

My family and I stayed in this great home! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and great family space! Oak Island is such a wonderful place and family friendly with great beaches! The beach access is just a few houses down which is so nice with little ones. Plenty of outdoor seating on the multi-level porches along with an out door fire pit area. Walking distance to restaurants and private street for kids to rid their bikes and play! Definitely recommend to our families and we will be back!

Family beach trip

The property was as listed. The bedrooms were great size and everyone had their own space. The kitchen was great and bigger than the pictures showed. Great pantry for storage. We loved all of the beach items and carts. Sadly tropical storm Debby gave us a rainy week. But having a great home to stay in certainly helped.

Wonderful vacation

We loved the house. It was a perfect lay out for our family. The owner was great at communicating with us. The owner has provided everything you could need for the beach. We could have just brought our cloths and been fine. There are plenty of chairs umbrellas and toys for the beach. The house is close walk to the beach and a short drive to grocery stores, sunset slushy, putt putt, restaurants and more. We would highly recommend this home.

Long Weekend June 2024

Thankful to be able to rent a beautiful home for a long weekend in June! The photos don't show the garage, but there are A LOT of beach chairs and boogie boards and a very useful cart. This section of beach is a little crowded due to close proximity to the beach club, but it's just a short easy walk away. Well-stocked kitchen and light switches are labeled throughout, which I really appreciate. Great communication with the owner pre-, during, and post visit.

Oak Island Vacation 2023

Our family vacation included 8 adults and 2 dogs. We were looking for a place with bedrooms and beds for everyone without sleeping on a pullout. Sunny Side Up on Oak Island provide that and much, much more. A 4 full bedroom house with all the amenities you could want; clean, well furnished and comfortable. Fire pit, outdoor griddle, excellent beds and the AC was perfect. TV's in every room, games, and only 200 yards off the beach without crossing any roads. We will definitely stay here in the future, Ian has made us feel right at home. Thank you Ian for the perfect family vacation spot for the Voelkers!

Family Thanksgiving November 2024

Everything and I mean everything was provided except food items. I was totally impressed on how well stocked the kitchen was. My son and daughter-in-love made Thanksgiving dinner and all cookware was provided. The layout of the house accommodated all six of us, but could easily house eight to ten (both sofas). It was cold and breezy, so the fire pit was perfect for enjoying family time and making s’mores. Yes, wood included. The beach is a short walk from the house and we took advantage of family walks at least two times a day. This house is perfect for making memories! All you have to do is show up.

Best east coast beach vacation yet!

We just returned from a week at this fantastic home and it exceeded all our expectations! Beautiful home that is a short 5-minute walk to the beach. The house was perfect for our family! It was our first visit to this chill and friendly town, and we were pleasantly surprised by its charm. The beach was quiet and very spacious and wide with warm ocean water and a constant cool breeze that made our days even more enjoyable. It was the perfect spot for relaxation and family bonding. I highly recommend Oak Island and this home for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable beach getaway! The beach towels, beach chairs, and Linen package was perfect! It made our parking so easy! The host was immediately available for the two questions we had. We hope to return!
