Perfect getaway!

We had the most wonderful time! The views are unbelievable - sitting in the pool or hot tub or around the fire pit, watching the barges sail by was so special! We can’t wait to come back!

What a View! and a Sunroom I could spend all day in.

The view of the Hudson from this home is outstanding. Seeing the sunrise in the early morning gave me such a feeling of peace. While all the rooms in the house are comfortable and beautifully decorated, the sunroom/screened in porch was my favorite!

Hudson River Charm

The house is very nice with 5 BR, 3 full bathrooms plus a half bath, is very spacious with a beautiful pool and hot tub, right on the Hudson River. The views are great. We enjoyed the pool, outside space, the pool table etc. The host and their managers were very accommodating and responsive. It is a 20 to 30 minute drive to get to Hudson and other major cities in the area if that is important. There are 2 small towns nearby.

Stunning property and friendly hosts

Bassinova-on-Hudson is a gorgeous and well-kept property, and Jean and her staff are very responsive and welcoming. The home features everything a group could want in a secluded getaway - a gated, private entrance, 5 bedrooms, a game room with billiards table, a home theater, sonos throughout the house, a steam shower, and an enormous kitchen and outdoor grill.When I arrived with my wife and 19 month old, Kat gave us a quick tour of the house and explained how everything worked, and the basic rules of the property. When we first walked in we were greeted with an open sitting room with a high ceiling (and a four-wall, hand-painted mural), just off of the kitchen. The house is shoes-off at the door (for good reason!), and the layout is quick to understand. The grounds are well-maintained, and the view of the Hudson is jaw-dropping. My son was overjoyed each time we spotted a giant ship rolling down the river.If you're considering booking the property, don't hesitate. It's incredible.

We had a friend and family gathering of 12 people. We all had a great time. Jean is a great host.

The house is wonderful and big for 12 people. It is very well decorated house. The views from the house are excellent starting from early morning as the house is facing east. The house is very well stocked. Few days before Our arrival I asked Jean whether you have martini glasses in the bar ? She said that one thing is missing and she ordered the glasses right away. When we arrived at the house the martini glasses were there. Thanks Jean. We enjoyed the home theatre also. We could not use pool and spa as weather was cool. Jean was kind enough to extend the pool closing for us. Infinity pool adds plus points. In short, it is a beautiful property and we may go back in the summer.

Reunion of Friends Since HS

We were fourteen women, friends since our school days, and wanted to celebrate our 65th year together. Bassinova was perfect. We made good use of the many rooms and nooks throughout the home. The kitchen was a great gathering place, and the media room a plus. The grounds were lovely and views of the Hudson were spectacular. Nearby were walking trails and towns to visit. Hudson had many shops and restaurants. Coxsackie had a good grocery store and pharmacy. Leaving wasn't easy.

Wow!!!

What an unbelievable house! It's even better in person - our guests could not believe how beautiful it was! Being there in the summer with access to the pool overlooking the Hudson was the real icing on the cake. The house itself was amazing and comfortable for our group. The hosts were wonderful and made sure we had someone meet us upon arrival to take us through the house and property. They were always on hand to answer any questions we had as well. The hosts were so helpful before our trip giving us recommendations for things in the area and they also followed up afterwards asking how we enjoyed our stay. I hope I am lucky enough to return to the property with friends and family - it's truly perfect!

Amazing Stay

Highly recommend staying at this truly special place! The house is full of great amenities, including an awesome pool with a special view. Our group really enjoyed sitting out on the patio and watching all the boats pass by (and the train too) as we played music from the outdoor sound system. The garden and grounds are beautiful. You can easily just stay at the house during your entire trip and feel like you are at a resort (check out the small beach in front along the river), but we also enjoyed going into Hudson for meals and shopping as well as visiting local farms. Thank you to the hosts for such a wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back soon!

The home was beautiful and clean. It is a well stocked home with everything we could have needed for a comfortable stay! Jean was super responsive. We enjoyed having our coffee every morning on the patio overlooking the river- it wa so peaceful & a true getaway!

Extraordinary Stay! (14 ppl)

I can't describe how accommodating the house and the owners were for my trip with friends. First off the house is outstanding!!!! The owners are avid travelers so you have memorabilia from around the world which is a nice touch. We stayed from Thursday to Sunday and stayed in for a majority of the time except for when we went to Thunderhart golfing on Friday. The pool area was bliss which had an incredible view looking over the hudson river. Each room had an extra supply of blankets and pillows for all guests. The home was clean and had everything we wanted, amplifying our experience beyond our expectations. The owners Richard and Jean were phenomenal and showed me and my friends around the house explaining how everything works and where everything is. I will definitely be returning to grasp another amazing time at Bassinova!

Beautiful house & property!

We stayed here for a weekend with a group of 10 friends. The house was perfect and had so many different places to hangout and have fun. The bedrooms & bathrooms were all beautiful and perfectly clean, and the kitchen had everything you could ever need and lots of space! We were there in mid March, so we sadly weren't able to take advantage of the pool & yard that much (although the hot tub was an awesome added bonus!), but we it was SO beautiful to just sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. We were ~15-20 min from Hudson, which was great for our group to go to for an afternoon. Couldn't recommend this house more - Jean was also super responsive and easy- going! We will definitely be back when the weather is warm :)

Gorgeous Home off the Hudson

The house was beautiful, clean and had great energy. Lots of cool, creative decorations and plenty of space in the house for our group of 9 adults. The Sonos system was great to have as well. The staff who are available to help were very responsive when we had an issue with the hot tub and got it resolved right away. Wish we could have enjoyed the gazebo/porch and more of the land, but it was a cold February weekend. The views of the Hudson are spectacular end you can see ice drifting down the river. We’d love to come back in the summer! Beautiful kitchen by the way as well (fully stocked!)

Amazing stay!

I rented the property with 11 friends (all in our 30s) for a long week-end and had an amazing time. The house and property are even more beautiful than in the pictures. The house is very well furnished, very cozy and spacious (and the two dish washers are life changing for a big group!). We took great advantage of the pool, both hot tubs, and the outdoor grill, all functioning perfectly. Jean was very easy to reach and quick to write back if you we had any questions, both before and during our stay (and went out of her way to help us connect our Spotify to the Sonos sound system). I highly recommend this property and hope the back soon! Florence
