Come enjoy a stay at “Down By the Bay”, a very spacious Cape Cod style home with in-ground pool, just a very short walk from the Delaware Bay Beach in North Cape May. Plenty of room and comfortably sleeping up to 10 people, this home is well for equipped for vacation and entertaining with 5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths (2,487 sq ft according to local tax records). This home is perfect for large or multi-family/friends looking to rent the same home. The first level of the home has a huge living room, full kitchen with washer/dryer, nice size Florida room with pull out sofa (queen), and 2 bedrooms (both queen beds) with a shared bathroom and half bath. Up the stairs to the second level leads to another full kitchen, family room, and 3 bedrooms with a shared full bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed with separate bunk/2 singles. The second and third bedroom both have two single beds. There is also a pull-out sofa in the living room as well. Full bathrooms on both floors are tiled flooring and stall showers with seating.From the second-floor kitchen, you step out onto the elevated deck which faces the Delaware Bay and overlooks the back yard, perfect for outdoor dining on the patio set, enjoying the sunset and pool activities. In the back yard, there is an in-ground pool and an indoor screen porch with furniture for relaxing poolside. Pool is 3 -5 in depth. The garage is accessible, which stores the beach equipment (6 beach chairs & umbrella) and 4 bicycles for guest use. Nicely landscaped yard with additional outdoor furniture for dining. A propane BBQ grill for guests use will be available also. 3 TVs in the casual living areas and 3 bedrooms have TVs available.The beach access is a very short 1 block walk. The beach in North Cape May is free, no beach tags needed. Cape May is a short 10-15 min ride. Wildwood about 20 mins. Dining and shopping available within 5 mins.The homeowners have included a highchair and a pack and play for guests bringing small children. Pillows and blankets are included, but tenants are to provide their own linens and towels. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of place settings/dining utensils and coffee makers. OWNER REQUIRES POOL LIABILITY WAIVER TO BE SIGNED WHEN BOOKING. POOL IS OPEN MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND THOUGH THE RENTAL WEEK OF 9/13/25 AND WILL CLOSE ON 9/20/25.. There is an additional $500 security deposit due on all reservations, a $350 cleaning fee, and $75 processing fee.

Beautiful property, great location

The house was even bigger than shown in photos and the pool was beautiful. The 2 kitchens were so convenient. Overall we had a blast!

Our family had an amazing time. The house is more than what I expected it to be. Super easy access to the beach and the pool was enjoyable. We loved the upstairs section of the house so much. Plenty of rooms to sleep in. We hope to book again next year!

Great rental for a Family

We had a family wedding in the area and rented this house for all adults. There was plenty of space for couples and singles. The backyard, location near the bay and the pool were the highlight of our trip!

You really need to book this house. It was my first experience but I couldn't believe how nice is the house. They got everything you need. I wish I could stay their longer. For sure will book again.

Beautiful home close to the beach

This house was a charming home very close to the beach and easy access to highways to visit neighboring areas. The house was exactly the way it was described, we all had a great time and Bob from Coastline was very helpful during our stay. Just make sure you read the description carefully as they don't provide pillow cases and bedsheets, if they could be made bold on the description and made a separate sentence that would be helpful, we almost missed that, but otherwise the house was perfect!

Bay beauty

In 30 years of renting in various coastal locations, this home was lovely- quiet neighborhood, fabulous views, light and bright home, spacious, and supply touches that were not typical in our past locations. It was very clean, and Bob ( realtor was very helpful and responsive especially when vrbo had tech issues for booking. It couldn’t have been better. Such a perfect way to enjoy the beginning of summer with our family!

The house was very clean and spacious. The area was a very nice area. Very convent to a grocery store and other shops and restaurants. The only thing the pool at the house was not opened since it was Memorial Day weekend. This was one of the reasons why I booked this home was for the pool. Very close to the town of Cape May. Other than that, everything was great,

It could be better

It was disappointing from the beginning First I went over to the pool and it was dirty, paint was all chipped in on the sides of the pool then the worst part I found a rat floating in the pool My youngest child and my teenagers were upset since they wanted to go in the pool

We are so sorry you felt your stay could have been better. We were unaware of any of this until the day you checked out. If any of these issues would have been relayed to us during your stay the homeowner would have sent someone over immediately. Also, it was a mouse, which unfortunately little animals sometimes find their ways into pools and need scooped out. The pool is chlorinated and again, if we were notified the owner would have sent the pool company over to take care of the pool again.
