Sundowner presents a distinctive condo resort nestled in the serene northern stretch of our renowned Seven Mile Beach. This splendid expanse of powdery white sand invites for swimming, snorkeling, or simply strolling along the shore. Here, amidst tranquility, you can explore at your leisure, snorkel right in front of your condominium, or enjoy a leisurely walk to nearby attractions such as The Kimpton Seafire Resort, acclaimed restaurants like Bacaro and Morgan's, and water sports offered by Red Sail Sports at The Kimpton.

Sundowner 8 has been completed renovated and transformed from top to bottom with high-end appliances and luxurious, simple but stunning furnishings. Occupying the second and third floors of this charming, secluded complex, this unit boasts two spacious bedrooms. The primary bedroom upstairs, on the 3rd floor, features a spacious bedroom with a King bed, ensuite bathroom and a spacious rooftop terrace with incredible views of the beach and Caribbean Sea. The guest bedroom, on the 2nd floor, offers 2 large twin beds, and the condo can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests as there is a pull-out couch in the living room area. The condo is on the beach in a quiet location with fantastic views from living room and deck. We enjoyed watching the sunsets and NYE fireworks show from deck. The property was very well kept and communication with the property manager was quick and easy.

Great condo right on beautiful, quiet beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely view of a quiet, lovely beach. Walk from condo to beach was maybe one minute at most! Beach loungers (though not the most comfortable), chairs, and umbrellas are already on the beach for the use of condo guests at no charge. Condo has a large, beautiful upper-floor patio overlooking the beach and equipped with loungers (more comfortable ones), table with umbrella and chairs, drying rack, floats. Beach towels provided in condo. Jose, the property manager, was very friendly and helpful and took care of a minor problem immediately. One caveat: if using GPS to find the complex, don't use the West Bay Road address given by the rental agency; it's actually not on West Bay Road, but on a small street called Sundown Circle, which may or may not be recognized by GPS. If we had known this ahead of time it would have saved a lot of frustrating and confused driving up and down West Bay Road! The name Sundowner Condos should be recognized, though. Highly recommend this place!

Condo was very nice, clean and well stocked. The view was amazing and the beach very close! The entry into the water is rocky so may need water shoes. There are chairs and umbrellas on the beach but the umbrellas don’t tilt so there isn’t much shade in the afternoon. It would be nice for a few beach chairs and a tiltable beach umbrella to be available. Highly recommend this condo!

Great Condo with Endless "Backyard" Views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We could not have asked for a better location to be situated on for our stay in the GCM. Water as far as the eye can see in the "backyard." I wish we would have stayed in the Sundowner 3 as a family of 6, but we made it work with the pull-out bed in the couch. I would recommend this condo for a family of 4, though. The place was super clean, felt like a home, and the property manager was helpful in times of need. Our favorite thing to do while there was walk along the beach towards the resorts. Coffee shops, restaurants, sand volleyball courts all within walking distance of the condo. Overall a great experience.

Wonderful spot!

This condo is perfect, we had two adults and two kids and it was great! Kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies (dishes, cups, pans, etc). The views are amazing and the location is fantastic! There are lots of rocks out front, so maybe some water shoes would be helpful when packing! But snorkeling was fun for kids because of the rocks out in front.

Steps away from beach, quiet area, perfect!

This condo was exactly what we had hoped for during 4 night stay. We just wanted to relax and have some quiet beach time and this condo was perfect for that. The beach was beautiful and had umbrellas and loungers set up, so you just had to take a 2 minute walk and be ready to relax. It was so nice not to have to haul a whole bunch of stuff to the beach and worry about forgetting something. The condo is so close it’s easy to just walk back up and get what you need (like a refill of drinks from the blender!). Most of the time we had the beach to ourselves, it was never super busy (we went in early June). This is a small complex so no big crowds here. The condo itself was really nice and was super clean! Everything you need is there, and is a great floor plan. It was well stocked of the necessities in case you forget something. You can see the beach and hear the waves from either the living area windows or from the upstairs balcony (which is huge by the way). We would definitely stay here again.

Will book again for our next visit to GC!

We have vacationed in Grand Cayman for the past three years, and we've stayed in a different VRBO each time. We've been looking for "the one," and now we've found it!Sundowner 8 is nicely updated and well furnished. It is very clean and the bed/bath/beach linens are great quality. The rooftop patio (which is actually on the same level as the primary suite) is really what sealed the deal for us. It was so lovely to have morning coffee and sunset cocktails while enjoying that view! The beach furniture is also nice, and the stretch of beach in front of the condo is quiet and beautiful. Some spots have shade for several hours of the day. We had good snorkeling between the condo and Coccoloba (our favorite casual beachfront dining, close enough to walk to for dinner), but still went to Cemetery beach to snorkel a few times. Logging into our movie streaming accounts at night was easy on the smart TVs. The only amenity we would have loved is access to a kayak or paddle boards. We learned from one of the permanent residents that some units have them and some don't. We found a rental company close by that delivered.As a note to the management: The welcome gift was lovely! There were just a few things that we think are in need of minor maintenance/updating. One of the glass panels of the sliding door on the main level is beginning to fog inside, which affects the view; the dining chairs are ready for a steam cleaning; and the kitchen could use a couple of new prep knives.

Chill vibes on Seven Mile

We enjoyed a relaxing week filled with sun, sand, water at the Sundowner. We were 2 couples so the second bedroom with twin beds was not ideal but the location - literally 12 steps to the beach - more than made up for it! We can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend!!

Best view for the price

Spent a week in March. The condo has a spectacular view of seven mile beach all the way to Georgetown. Very well located for trips north on west Bay road to Fosters and numerous restaurants. One bedroom is much nicer than the other so perhaps not a good choice for two couples. Still, it’s a beautiful place to be.

Perfect location!

This was our 11th trip to Cayman. This condo is towards the north end of 7MB and is on a quite, open, clean stretch of beach. The condo itself is clean and well appointed,, we had a GREAT 10 days of relaxation. Would have been 5 stars all around but for some construction on our last 2 days there..still a great condo and we would return again.

Nice quiet beach and short walk to cemetery beach which is a wonderful place to snorkel. Condo is clean and well stocked. Jose arrived promptly to fix the tv and was very friendly. He recommended Grape Tree Cafe and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend staying here.

Great location and layout

Amazing vacation spot - very sandy stretch of beach with easy walk to bars and restaurants to south. 2nd floor has beautiful master bedroom with comfortable king mattress, with open sky large deck area off of the hallway. 1st floor has smaller bedroom with two twin beds, spacious living room connected to kitchen. The beach is one of the best stretches of sand in the area.

Pure Paradise

Choosing Sundowner #8 was the best decision we made when traveling to Grand Cayman! The location can’t be beat and the views were incredible. The unit was very clean, well equipped, and suited our family’s needs perfectly. For those traveling with kids, there were a few tubes and noodles as well as some basic snorkel gear to keep them occupied at the beach. I’d recommend traveling with or renting some beach toys if you have little ones! Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay. Some suggestions would be more hooks for drying towels in the downstairs bath, purchasing some additional forks for the kitchen, and making some board games available on the off chance of some rainy weather. Thank you for a memorable week!

The beach was so secluded and tranquil!! The condo unit was clean and well decorated. All the cooking utensils in the kitchen were useful and there were plenty of bath and beach towels. There was plenty of body wash and shampoo in each bathroom as well. But please be advised, there are scorpions on Cayman!! We tried to open one of the beach umbrellas on the beach and we were startled by a scorpion who was resting inside the umbrella! Just have to be careful not to get too close to one!! The condo manager was notified and he came and posted a sign to warn anyone who tried to open the umbrella. Overall, the condo was well maintained and we had a comfortable stay. Can’t wait to visit Cayman Islands again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pictures are accurate and the condo was very clean. Kitchen had all the utensils and cookware needed to make a meal. Dining by the sliding glass doors provided beautiful scenery. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels were provided. The grounds are really nice and literally steps from crystal clear water. Bug spray is needed in the evening to sit outside. Fosters supermarket allows you to place an order ahead of time which was really nice, their catering dishes were great! Rent a car as there is so much to see and do, snorkeling is a must! Food is on the expensive side and restaurants include a 15% gratuity up front.The only downside was maintenance came when we were not there and no advance notice was provided that they were coming (they had our phone number and email) and they came inside the unit. By chance we came home as they were leaving, the unit was checked and we didn't notice anything disturbed or missing but it still left us with a queasy feeling. Other than that, the stay was wonderful!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Sundowner is a great location as it is right on the quieter end of Seven Mile Beach, yet still within walking distance to The Kimpton Seafire Hotel and several restaurants. A car is recommended so that you can easily get to the grocery stores, into George Town, around the island, and to and from the airport! Much cheaper than taking taxis!
