¡El lugar más pintoresco de todas las Black Hills! Cabaña de dos dormitorios y dos baños en Rapid Creek, a solo 1. 5 millas de la pintoresca carretera Rimrock: el lugar perfecto para relajarse, descansar y disfrutar de la naturaleza. ¡Incluso puedes pescar desde el patio trasero! We had another wonderful stay at this lovely cabin! The view was spectacular, and we loved the peace and quiet. Pam is very responsive from the check-in to the check-out. She thinks of every detail in the cabin and makes her guests feel very welcomed. We hope to make it back again someday.

Good location to explore the area. Excellent setup for two couples. Have rented 20 homes. This host really goes out of way to do the little things that add up make a difference - personal meeting and checkup, tea and hot chocolate, hard soap and soft soap, paper cups in the bathrooms etc . I recommend heartily

Beautiful slice of heaven! The house was amazing with a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, cozy living space, and a spectacular big covered deck with the most amazing and peaceful views! The owner was very gracious in showing the house to us and she made the most delicious blueberry muffins too. We curtailed some of our plans to just unwind at the home and sit on the deck. We didn’t want to leave. We would definitely come stay here again!

Didn't want to leave

This place was so relaxing it was hard to leave......and we didn't much. Pam met us at the house and gave us a rundown of everything. We spent most of our time on the deck overlooking and listening to Rapid Creek. The only reason I gave a four star to communication was because of reception and nothing to do with our hosts who were very gracious. Would definitely stay here again!

Spectacular. All of it..the cabin, the setting, the hosts, We loved waking up and having our breakfast and coffee on the deck every day in a postcard perfect place. The sound of the creek was so relaxing. Master bed was VERY comfortable with nice linens. The cabin was impeccable and had everything we needed.The hosts were amazing as well; very considerate and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, it was in every way! It was the kind of place we were sad to leave

One of A Kind

Such a special place. You can feel your heartrate slow as soon as you walk out on the deck and experience the visual of the creek running through the massive stone canyon. The sound of the rushing water! Just a beautiful, quiet, relaxing experience. Pam is a wonderful considerate owner. Clean, clean! Perfect for couples or 4 friends/ adult family. Close enough to anywhere in the Blackhills you would wish to visit. Seniors be fine here.. all one level.

Lovely view, hosts were easy to get in touch with and responded very quickly. Seemed to care abut guests and making them happy. Cabin is a little dark (lack of lights, dark wood paneling) but has lots of information and photos about the area. Is very relaxing and quiet with lots wild life. Would highly recommend

The Creek Front Cabin

Our stay at The Creek Front Cabin was nothing short of magical. The pictures truly don’t capture the charm and serenity of this place—it’s even better in person. From the moment we arrived, the owner greeted us with a warm welcome and thoughtful homemade treats that instantly made us feel at home.The cabin itself is the perfect blend of cozy and spacious—not too big, not too cramped, just right for relaxing in comfort. But the real showstopper is the deck. We spent nearly all our time there, soaking in the incredible view and the peaceful sounds of the creek flowing just steps away. It was the ultimate spot to unwind and reconnect with nature.Another bonus? It's perfectly located—peacefully tucked away yet only about 40 to 60 minutes from all the must-see attractions like Mount Rushmore and Deadwood. This stay was everything we hoped for and more. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and explore the best of the Black Hills.

Wonderful little cabin

This is our second stay at this property. It is the perfect size for me and my mom. The location is amazing, the sound of the creek rushing by is so relaxing. It is the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing stay. The hosts are great and checked on us a couple ,e times during the stay. They are very responsive and kind. They even left us homemade blueberry muffins for our arrival.

Black Hills Bliss

The drive to the property was entrancing. Upon arrival we were greeted by Pam who gave us a tour and shared all of the vital information for the property, she also left us with baked goods! It felt like we were greeted by family and offered a home away from home for our stay. The deck was by far our favorite part of our stay. Laying in the hammock, the sound of the rushing water, and the view of the daily wildlife visits from the hammock were fantastic. This location was near equal distance from Keystone and Deadwood and we visited both. The location was easy to find and we would highly recommend staying at The Creek Front Cabin.

Amazing Vacation!

The cabin was spotless, tastefully decorated, and centrally located to many attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking hiking trails at Custer State Park, as well as the Chuckwagon Cookout & Hayride. Badlands National Park, Spearfish Canyon, and Mt Rushmore are all an hour or so away. The hosts were friendly and communicative. They gave us great tips about local hiking trails and restaurants. The cabin setting is even more beautiful than the pictures can convey! Highly recommended!

Best VRBO host and property ever!

We’ve stayed at vacation rentals around the world and even had our own rental property…this host wins our award for BEST EVER. She didn’t miss a single little detail. We arrived to her warm welcome, homemade blueberry muffins, water and a quick tour of the home. The home was stocked with everything that we needed for our visit. Stop at the house prior to going to the grocery store because the home had more essential items than you would normally find at a vacation rental home. The place was so amazing that we decided to give up a day of site seeing to enjoy the beautiful view from the porch that overlooks a rock wall (that is lit up at night) and stream. The kitchen was stocked well and there was a gas grill on the back porch so we ate at the cabin all but one meal. We enjoyed numerous daily wildlife visits from Turkey, deer and more. South Dakota exceeded our expectations in every way. Be sure to visit Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands. We stayed 4 nights and wish we had booked a 7 + night stay.

Great Cabin

Location was great, as we had short driving distances to see Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, Deadwood, Mammoth Dig Site and Custer State Park. Very quiet location, Host was great, and we tried a little fishing in the creek. Saw lots of wildlife around the cabin - deer, turkey, owl, kingfisher, chipmunks and squirrels.

Exactly What We Hoped

The cabin is close to dining, stores and activities in Rapid City, as well as being centered between all of the amazingly beautiful scenic sites of the Black Hills. This property is private and secluded and has a serenity that will make you wish you could stay longer.

Cabin with a view

This cabin was MORE than we expected. The accommodations are the best. We felt very welcomed & were so pleased that we decided to add another night's stay to our trip. The view from the deck is AWESOME! My husband, Tom and I are transplants to South Dakota and the Black Hills. He is originally from Virginia, and I am from Texas. We couldn't be happier that we ended up in one of the best kept secrets in America. We have four children and 8 grandchildren and we enjoy hiking and skiing and exploring the Black Hills. We just finished hiking all of the 121 miles of the South Dakota Centennial Trail that weaves its way through some of the most scenic spots in the Black Hills.

The Creek Front Cabin was originally built by my grandparents in the early 1960's, and I have been fortunate enough to take care of it for the past 40 years.

I love this place. The rugged beauty of the canyon, the sound of the rippling creek, the private setting, and the deck make it a tranquil setting that is truly one of a kind.

I can't think of anything better than curling up with a good book on the hammock underneath the huge covered 40' long deck. Listening to the calming effects of the creek is the best R & R a person could ever dream of ...
Yes, there is fishing right from the backyard and a whole variety of wildlife and birds have been seen over the years. To date, we've seen over 33 different birds, plus mink, raccoons, turkey and deer to name a few.

You'll experience peace, quiet and relaxation at our private, adults-only vacation property.

The location of the cabin in the Hisega area adds so much history and charm. This neighborhood dates back to 1908 and it was named after the first letters of six women who visited here then: Helen, Ida, Sade, Ethel, Grace and Ada.

These women were part of a camping party, and later cabins were built, along with the Hisega Lodge. It was a true vacation resort for folks coming from the prairies of eastern South Dakota by train. The full story of how Hisega transformed over the years is in the cabin for you to discover.

Many, many people have told me that the setting is the "nicest spot in all the Black Hills". I couldn't agree more. This isn't just a "place to stay" - it is a place to experience ...

My grandparents would be happy that I have made it available for others to enjoy.
