Private Dog Welcoming Ocean Beach Hideaway

Beach Bungalow, steps to the beach!

Welcome to our beautifully appointed beach cottage! We have tastefully remodeled and refurbished the entire cottage last year so everything is new and clean. The cottage boasts a one bedroom, one bathroom layout and is comfortability sized for up to four guests. The kitchen offers all new appliances and is stocked with enough cooking utensils to please any chief. The 100Mb WiFi should satisfy any streaming, gaming or business needs and the wall mounted 65" Sony TV can be viewed from the private outside patio when BBQing or relaxing. Air conditioning (split unit heat pump) provides comfort in the summer and the living room sofa folds out to a queen bed with bedding located in the closet.

Being conveniently located 1 1/2 blocks to Dog Beach and 5 blocks to all local shopping, restaurants, and entertainment, it's easy to get around town by either walking or biking. We keep two beach cruisers at the house for your use.

Because San Diego offers premier tourist destinations, the cottage is a great launching point to explore and enjoy everything the city has to offer! For us, Uber/Lift is the easiest way to get around. Be it Balboa Park, Padres baseball, Sea World, Convention Center or the Gas Lamp District, UBER/Lift is safe, easy and inexpensive.

Wonderful property, fantastic location, and well equipped with equipment for activities. The bikes were fantastic for a long ride along the estuary, which is minutes away. The property was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the private outdoor space. We look forward to staying here again. Thank you for the amazing stay.

Awesome dog friendly stay

Great place to stay with kids and dogs. Secure and serene backyard for all to enjoy. Short walk to the beach and dog beach which are awesome. Tons of great restaurants nearby as well. The place came with everything you could need or want.

Perfect place just a block away from Dog beach

Perfect little place super comfortable. great location literally a 2 minute walk to dog beach like a block away. Would stay there again for sure.

Great place in Ocean Beach!

Stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend. Perfect for a single traveler or couple. Didn’t have our pooch with us but very dog friendly. Great location just a short walk from the coolest dog beach. Place was very nice with a kitchen that had everything to make a nice meal. Immunization with the property manager wa expect peril Al and just a really nice stay.

Cute bungalow and well maintained. The constant jet noise was not welcomed. Definitely needed to park car and walk everywhere. Street parking was limited.

Perfect place to stay

Was in San Diego looking at colleges with my daughter. The location was perfect and walkable to most places in OB. The host was super responsive anytime I had a question. The airplane noise got annoying but that’s anywhere in OB! I would definitely stay there again!

What a great place!! Clean. Wonderful bed. Kichen has everything you need. 2 bikes to cruise OB. Blocks from the beach. The backyard is private and cozy. The front of the house is another VRBO so when you enter you walk to the back, around the side of the house. I read a review saying they didn't like having to walk through the front patio of the front VRBO, but no issues here. Once you're in your space you are snug as a bug in a rug!Though you are close to everything the house is super quiet. If you are staying in OB this is a fantastic place to rent!!!

Short Stay with dog

Owners made checkin very simple, always respond to all forms of communication throughput stay. Place was as advertised and very clean / well stocked with bath essentials and kitchen basics including coffee pods. We were very tempted to extend our stay and continue on for the weekend. Great location to beach and restaurants. Quick Ubers downtown

Perfect Beach Getaway

3 day visit to OceanBeach w our pooch. Perfect location! Clean and well appointed. Loved having the back patio to hang out in. Had everything we needed and just 1 1/2 blocks from the beach. Walkable to the busier part of town and restaurants. Great açaí bowls and coffee at Cafe Bella, just around the corner. Great hosts, great communication. We will definitely be back!

Great home base for a week at the beach!

My family and I stayed here for 5 days in July 2023. Was a good size for our family, adults had a bedroom and the two littles (ages 5 and 8) shared the pull out. The outdoor patio with seating area and grill were awesome and we used them all week. Location is super convenient for beach days. I liked that the neighborhood was quiet and relaxed, we weren't in the middle of a ton of action and noise but restaurants and stores were within walking distance. Would totally stay here again.

30th girls bday trip

The unit was exactly as described and all instructions were easy to follow! No crazy clean up rules or having to take about the bedding. Communication was awesome and the suggestions were really nice! Location was perfect for walking to the beach and local spots! Would return again!

Beach fun!

Everything was there!! Super comfortable. Appreciated the supply of coffee and we replenished it. Bed was great! Could have used a bench to put suitcases on? But floor was fine. More hooks for towels? Just suggestions as we own a short term rental too. Nice big shower! We would choose this place again! Thanks!

Weekend getaway beach house

My husband and I came to this property for some rest and relaxation. The duplex is very well maintained and nicely updated. We love that there was privacy in the back patio area to relax and the back of the duplex was very quiet. However, when you enter the property, you are walking through the front duplex occupants’ patio space. If you had occupants that were loud and partying, I could see that this may be a problem. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had great duplex mates but I don’t know if we would return, just because of our concern over noise and privacy. Most people would probably be very happy here as it is in the heart of Ocean Beach.

Nice quiet place to stay

Only a few blocks from Ocean/Dog beach. Loved the washer and dryer in the unit. There are two units the front and the back. We were in the back unit which was very quiet. They had great bath towels not the cheap ones. They provide you with awesome coffee and wonder paper towels and a full sponge to wash dishes. They provide all the soap for dishes, dishwasher and washer. They do provide two cruiser bikes which are super comfy. I didn’t see any beach towels. I believe there is one beach chair. The only down fall is that the bedroom does not cool off well even with a little a/c unit but there is a ceiling fan but a portable fan might be helpful. A wonderful place to stay! Would love to go back.

This cute cottage is ideal for dog owners staying in OB. It’s walkable to the dog beach, human beach and lots of shops, restaurants, and bars (including Newport St.) The bed is very comfy and outdoor space is great for dogs. The host is very responsive and flexible when our flight home was delayed. We enjoyed this space a lot.
