Would definitely return

Catrina’s Ocean Beach bungalow is so cute and is less than a 10 minute walk to amazing restaurants, shops, and of course, the beach. The check-in process started a little hairy as the house was not cleaned by 4 pm due to a communication error with the cleaner, however, Catrina remedied this issue by providing us with a digital $50 gift card to a local restaurant. The house itself is quaint and resides in a quiet neighborhood just far enough away from the lively Ocean Beach strip. The private deck in the back was especially relaxing in the evenings after a long day of exploring. Be mindful that there is decent air traffic as the house is not far from the airport. This did not bother us. We are excited to return to San Diego and we would definitely book Catrina’s bungalow again!

Quaint, cozy, comfortable Cottage near the beaches

Had a short but lovely stay here. We chose it for proximity to the dog beach. The area is dense housing but surprisingly quiet (except for the flights overhead) and walkable.

Charming!

It was lovely to have our own space that had a private enclosed patio with a barbecue and seating. I was really close to anything you’d want to do in Ocean Beach and had a parking spot which was really helpful. It is also nice that there were two TVs that had all the streaming services so at night we could watch one show while our son watched another. The only downside is that ocean Beach is right under the airport flight path, so there’s a lot of noise from airplanes if you’ve got the windows or doors open, but that’s going to be true for all of Ocean Beach.

Fantastic Location!!

Great place to stay in Ocean Beach with our Golden Retriever!! We all had a great time. Wish we didn’t hear planes so much, but we got use to it. Easy 3 blocks to beach with wagon, chairs & umbrella they had for us to use.

Dissappointing stay

First of all, residence was great...but The constant..insessant roaring of planes taking off was horendous. Couldn't enjoy deck...couldn't open patio doors or front door for fresh air. Heaven help you, if you were on the phone when the planes flew over. Was very waring on us...Neighborhood was littered with piles of dog poop. We liked the residence..but would not recommend staying there.

Finally a property that lives up to the hype! Walk to anywhere, 5 minute drive to dog beach and its 20 minutes from Mt Soledad - our 2 main destinations. So clean and updated, quality build with quality maintenance and beach ready - truly is a hidden gem - thanks!!!

Comfortable and convenient location

This space was great for a couple people wanting to be within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the beach. It has tons of original character but still well equipped. The walk to the beach was a little longer than we expected but still quite close. Would stay again!

Great location.

We had a great stay. The location is perfect for those who want to walk to the beach, walk to the store, or walk to restaurants. The only issue we had was a neighbor with a drum kit that had a jam session on and off on Sunday. Just when we thought they were done, it started up again.

Great spot, cute and near so many placed

This is a really wonderful location and a great place to stay for a couple. It was clean and actually pretty spacious with two people. It is walking distance to the dog beach, regular beach, and a ton of restaurants and bars. It’s nice that it’s not right off the road because it makes a little more quiet. Really wonderful stay.

City Cottage

Perfect for our San Diego getaway. We were able to cover a lot of ground in the SD area from this home base - great location. Liked the free onsite parking too.

Week Gateway!

This little house was perfect for our week gateway! It was less than 10 mins of a walk to the beach , pier , restaurants and shopping centers! We even got to experience the food market they had super close to us! Catrina was very communicative , friendly and answered all of my questions I had. Her home had everything what we needed! Me , boyfriend and our small dog had a peaceful nice week! Neighborhood was very quiet at night time and home was very private with your own parking space which was very helpful! We would definitely stay again :)

Relaxing Stay

This beach cottage was in a perfect location. Minutes to beach, food & coffee. Had a nice private deck & off street parking!!! Made our stay in Ocean Beach very relaxing.

Perfect location!

The property was ideal for our stay for my wife and I plus our dog! We walked all day every day from the house to local shops and restaurants, the beach and the pier. The neighborhood is well maintained, the house was clean and cute, the patio spacious, and the tv had many options for when we retired at night. The bed was comfy and there were many fans and nice windows that opened easily and the shower had great heat and water pressure. Just a few blocks to Newport street, Voltaire street and the beach. We would definitely stay here again. Catrina was extremely polite and easy to communicate with. There was a booklet with many good options to narrow down places to eat and visit!

Great place.. close to everything!

This place is quaint and perfect for our family of 3. (20 year old daughter) It was also very clean. It has all the essentials you need. We enjoyed the deck each evening. We also used the beach supplies. We did walk to eat and some shopping but, we rented a car and loved having a parking spot behind the house. It is 15 minutes from everything. Besides the airplanes flying overhead early in the morning.. it was nice and quiet neighborhood.

Great location!

Walking distance to beach and downtown OB. My husband was able to walk his surfboard to the beach it’s so close! Having a designated parking spot was great since parking is hard to find. We basically parked and didn’t get back in the car until it was time to leave because we could walk everywhere. There’s beach toys, wagon and boogie boards available. When I had an issue with the Roku (user error) host was quick to respond and help. The space is small, clean and as described. Would absolutely stay again!

Sweet little place

We enjoyed our stay and the location. The place was cozy, clean and comfortable. We would stay again for sure. The only minor thing was the bedroom remote ran out of batteries and seemed to need a charger cord to recharge it. Other than that, we loved it!

Leave your car parked on this vacation.

Although tucked away in the midst of our beach town, you are just minutes to Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, San Diego International Airport and Downtown San Diego. Leave your car behind if you want. You can walk to everything in Ocean Beach and it's a cheap Uber ride to everywhere else.
