One block from the sand in Ocean Beach, one of San Diego's most beloved beach neighborhoods. This bright, air-conditioned cottage is the perfect base for couples, friends, or a solo traveler who wants to be close to everything without being right on top of it.

Step outside your private fenced patio and you are a short walk from Dog Beach, the OB Pier, the weekly farmers market, and some of the best casual dining and surf bars in the city. Dogs are genuinely welcome here, not just tolerated.

THE SPACE

Living Room: Open and airy with large windows, a comfortable couch, ceiling fan, AC, and a Smart TV with streaming. Bright natural light throughout the day.

Kitchen: Fully equipped with full-size appliances, good counter space, and everything you need for real meals or quick snacks before a beach day.

Bathroom: Clean and well-appointed with a full bathtub and shower, fresh towels provided.

Bedroom: Queen bed with quality linens, good light, and a ceiling fan to keep things comfortable.

Patio: Private fenced outdoor space. A quiet spot to have your morning coffee or wind down in the evening.

Garage: A private one-car garage is included. Please note it best fits compact to mid-size vehicles. Larger SUVs and trucks may not fit, but street parking within a block is typically available, especially on weekday mornings.

Dog Wash Station: A dedicated outdoor wash station makes it easy to rinse off your pup after a day at Dog Beach. Guests consistently call this out as a favorite feature.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Ocean Beach is a relaxed, walkable surf town within San Diego. No chain restaurants, no tourist traps. Just good tacos, local shops, friendly people, and one of the best dog beaches in California. The OB Farmers Market runs weekly on Newport Avenue and is worth planning around.

A NOTE ON NOISE

Ocean Beach sits in the San Diego Airport flight path. Planes are occasionally audible, as they are throughout the neighborhood. It has not been an issue for most guests, but it is worth knowing.

Our host was very quick to respond and was very helpful especially with places to visit. The cottage was very cute and in a great spot for quick eats and drinks. Not a lot of street noise which we liked but from time to time you might hear a drunk person laughing but hey they’re in the right part of town. Great night life and super friendly kooks. We’d stay here again for sure!

This spot was a perfect location. Close to the beach, walkable to restaurants and shops, and close to the freeway. The dog was welcome too. It was a bit tight for two people but we didn't spend much time inside. If you plan on bringing a car and parking in the garage your car should be a compact. We drive a Subaru Outback and only one person could be barely open their door.

A very clean space. Perfect place for my dog and I. Walking distance to a great Dog Beach. The wash tub was a bonus. Garage doesn't fit anything larger than a sub-compact SUV, but I didn't have any problem parking within a block during busy times and was able to get a space in front after folks went to work in the morning. It's the Beach!

Clean and close to the beach

Very clean little apartment located close to the dog beach and several places to eat. Most comfortable bed I ever slept in. Would highly recommend.

comfy and clean in a great spot

Jacob was a really nice host — messaged early to let us know we could check in earlier. And he was really responsive and helpful when our plans changed after booking. The house was very clean and cute and had all the basics in the kitchen, beach towels, etc. would definitely stay again!

The property fit our needs for the weekend. I was disappointed in finding residual food on the plates in the cabinet and glad I brought paper plates. And we ate out a lot so there’s that!

Great Little Spot in Ocean Beach!

We've stayed in Ocean Beach before & know we like the vibe & the area. And the proximity of this place to the dog beach, as well as some local restaurants / coffee shops / bars was excellent! This spot is well appointed and had everything we need for the few days we were in town. Jacob was very communicative and helpful in getting us settled and answering any questions we may have. Would definitely recommend this cutie!

Great little cottage, amazing location!

Jacob was very communicative with us throughout our stay and provided us with all of the amenities we needed throughout our stay. The place was clean & tidy, less than two blocks from the beach, and close to plentiful food options. We couldn’t use the parking garage due to access to it in the alleyway being a tight squeeze, but street parking nearby was available. Would love to come again!

Great Location

We loved the location it's only a few blocks from the beach. Lots of great local shops, pubs and restaurants with a great selection of food types. Mission Beach is just across the bridge so it's only 10 min away. Zoo is 10-15 min away as well as downtown. The house is small but still works functionally especially if you're just sleeping and relaxing after a long day of play. Having a garage to park in is a huge plus at this location.We loved it though so if you don't need a ton of space this place is perfect.

Cozy Beach House

Nice little beach cottage- inside is very cute and decorated tastefully. Kitchen is stocked nicely and refrigerator is good sized. Fun bars, beach and eateries within walking distance so plenty to do! The owner is very responsive and helpful with follow up questions. Door and gate locking system works well. Garage is a nice feature since street parking is hard to find but make sure you have a small car as it is tiny! Beach chairs were in good shape and appreciated. The outside patio area was a little disappointing- looked neglected and could use some love. We only had a two night stay, but overall had a very nice time.

We stayed here for two weeks. The location is terrific for access to the beach and the main drag (Newport). The unit was clean and comfortable, and communication with Jacob was great. I called to ask for a couple of lamps (only overhead lights in the unit) and he brought them right away. That said, there are some low-cost things that would significantly improve this property. Bathroom towels are really shabby - and there needs to be more than just one washcloth! The shower curtain is slimy and needs to be replaced, as does the rusted shower bar. A broom and dustpan or vacuum should be there....nothing to sweep up beach sand etc. accumulating over two weeks! Finally, the outside entrance area is in serious need of an upgrade! The couch and chair are nice, but very dirty and the floor needs a good sweeping.

Hi Patrica, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. I wish you would have reached out and asked about towels and a vacuum, there are fresh towels and a vacuum located in the garage. I always try and accommodate guests and provide any necessary items.
