Unplugged - what better name for a quiet place to relax and renew your spirit in a beautiful slice of paradise?! Located in the highly sought-after resort of Barrier Dunes, this fantastic 3 bedroom/3.5 bath townhome comfortably accommodates 8 people and sits directly across from the Gulf-front pool and clubhouse. Obviously, this makes it unbelievably convenient to go for a nice swim, especially for the kiddos, but it is also only 100 steps to the sugar-white sand. Additionally, Unplugged is close to the two tennis/pickleball courts for anyone interested in playing this wildly popular new pastime. This wonderful townhome "ticks all the boxes" by also offering fantastic views of the Gulf and our spectacular sunsets, especially from the upper deck off the master suite. With all of this and so much more, we believe Unplugged would be the perfect choice for your vacation on beautiful Cape San Blas!

The owner of Unplugged has been a part of Barrier Dunes since the beginning and understands everything about this wonderful resort and the surrounding area. Be sure to check out their vintage black and white photographs hanging on the walls that show the original development of this amazing community. You can just tell that the owner truly understands what makes this place so incredibly special - it is reflected in their home, the decor, how comfortable it is, and how well stocked it is with everything you need to enjoy the Cape and specifically, Barrier Dunes.

We are pleased to say that Unplugged is large and comfortable and has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. With three en-suite bedrooms, it works for most groups - whether it be a single family, two couples traveling together, a group of ladies on a much-needed retreat, a few retired guys coming to enjoy a fishing trip, a multi-generational family, or snowbirds who have people coming to visit. Not to mention, we are dog-friendly, so your furry, four-legged family members are welcome too. So, whoever you are traveling with, we invite you to come, relax, unplug, and enjoy spending time together.

As you come up to the first floor, you are welcomed into an open living/dining area that is very spacious and comfortable. The entire place is casual, charming and inviting. The living area has a queen sleeper sofa, a loveseat, additional chairs, and a smart TV that allows you to stream your favorite programs (provided you have your own personal account) - which makes this the perfect place to relax after a long, fun day. The living area opens onto a great deck with outdoor seating overlooking the pond with its peaceful sounding water fountain and its ever-popular resident turtles.

The dining area easily seats 8 for sharing meals together. This is also the ideal spot for playing cards or board games in the evening, during the occasional afternoon rainstorm, or when you're just ready for a break from the sun. The kitchen is well-stocked with most everything you need in your "home away from home", whether you want to make breakfast, fix sandwiches, organize snacks and drinks, or cook a full meal. There is also a gas grill if you want to cook out.

There is a half bath on this main floor for everyone's convenience. And the laundry closet is located off the kitchen with a full-sized washer and dryer.

On the second floor, Unplugged has two nice and comfortable bedrooms. The first is a lovely, king suite with a TV and a private balcony with Gulf views. The bathroom has double vanities, a tub, a separate shower, and a private toilet. The other bedroom is a charming queen room, also with a TV and private balcony. The bathroom has a single vanity, a toilet, and a tub/shower combination. The arrangement on this level offers plenty of privacy for everyone.

The third floor is a dedicated large master suite. There is a double vanity, and in the bathroom, there is a toilet, a garden tub, and a walk-in shower. The suite has a TV and a private balcony that is the perfect place to sip a drink, relax, and watch the most amazing sunsets ever. This suite offers a quiet oasis away from the rest of your group. (Please note, this is a typical Barrier Dunes unit and does not have a door on this bedroom.)

For your beach time, we provide chairs and a pull-cart to help carry your gear. There is an outdoor hose for rinsing off sandy feet when you get back. And there are dog towels so the fur babies can also be rinsed and dried before coming inside after a fun day in the sand.

Barrier Dunes is a great community for people of all ages - it is gated and provides a safe place for kids to play, for walking your dog, and for riding bikes. There are two tennis/pickleball courts, a neighborhood playground, several ponds, as well as three boardwalks to the beach - one with no stairs. There are two community pools - one is centrally located next to the courts, and the other pool is gulf front with covered picnic tables and a gazebo overlooking the white sandy beach and sparkling Gulf of Mexico.

Family vacay

The house was perfect in everyway. Kitchen totally stocked... beds comfy...clean... great access to beach and pool. Pets were welcomed and had pet covers for furniture (and i even brought my own cover). Lots of stairs! I just had a total knee replacement and handled the steps just fine! Lovely, roomy home for our family of 6. First visit to Cape San Blas and we loved it. Brought our bikes and made an early run to Weber Donuts!

Unit was good, not a great stay with a boat

Came with the friends in a fist time scalloping trip. Unit looked great, and it was. No issues and enjoyed the two days. Asked specifically about boat parking and was led to believe by two hosts it was going to be OK. The neighborhood is tight with a boat of any length, so. It recommended if you bring one.
