Great family place to stay!!

This property and the lake it resides on is absolutely amazing. The house was beautiful and there was plenty of room for 10 people. The lake is perfect and the ability to rent a pontoon make the experience that much better! We would absolutely stay here again!

Great lake house in quiet area

Convenient, clean and comfortable! My spouse, myself and adult children came to the area for a family event. Beautiful views—right on the lake! Nice neighborhood, easy check in and out

Relaxing Getaway

This property is amazing! Super clean with lot of space for a family weekend on the lake. We had a great time relaxing on the decks and enjoying the water. The kitchen and dining area was perfect for our gathering of eight people to celebrate my Mom's 85th birthday. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood/lake.

Beautiful home on a stunning MI lake

We had a wonderful weeklong stay with 3 adults and 2 small children. There was plenty of space for the kids to spread out and the water was perfect and shallow for outdoor play. The host was great- communicated everything we needed and was responsive to all of our questions. Loved our stay and would happily stay there again!

Wonderful lakeside retreat.

My family and I spent four days at this wonderful Lakeside retreat. Both floors offered amenities that the whole family could enjoy. Being able to walk out your door directly onto the dock and into the water was wonderful. The home was clean and everything we needed from entertainment to cooking to cleaning. The kayaks and paddle boards were a great addition and we use them every day. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and everyone is Friendly will definitely plan to visit again.

Multi-Family Getaway

Our two-family getaway was great at Penny’s Northern View. We had enough space to accommodate three kids and four adults comfortably. The awesome views from the deck were an added bonus and the kids loved playing in the shallow water by the dock. The lake and water sports offered entertainment for hours! The boat rental contact worked out great for our group too! Would definitely stay again!

Summer fun!

We had a great time! The place is accurately described and shown in the photos. The second refrigerator was an added bonus. Erin is quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect getaway

The lake and house were very clean and inviting. The host went above and beyond, even contacting us directly about some items we left there. They coordinated a way for us to get the items back and were very pleasant throughout the whole experience. We loved the views from the two-story deck and got a ton of use out of the kayaks and paddle boards. We also loved the lake community- everyone was super friendly. We would definitely recommend this house to others, and hope to visit again ourselves!

Very clean and comfortable

The cottage was extremely clean and updated. Having two levels was nice for two separate families. The lake was clean and the kayaks and paddle boards were great. We had some rain so the arcade game was fun! Highly recommend!

Pleasant stay

The house is exactly as described. Erin is very responsive. Very clean inside and out. Beds are comfortable. Lots of seatings inside and outside on the huge triple decks . Great to have kayaks and paddle boards. We had a good time!

House was clean and ready. Only the water wasn't as sandy bottomed as what we thought, and boat rental was separate from the house rental.

Gorgeous Lake Access

The property has everything you need to feel at home. Full kitchen dishes and applicances, along with extra bedding and towels. The 2 level decking provides a great place to relax and look out to enjoy the views, have a sit down meal outdoors, and is large enough for the kids to stretch their legs. We utilized the new dock for our tritoon and PWC. This is a great location to access the lake with a firm, sandy bottom, and shallow water that streched out into the lake at least 80 yards from shore. Our kids took advantage of the provided kayaks and paddle boards to start their days on the still glasslike water. I would recommend staying at anyone of the Shafer's properties to anyone I know.

Great Lake for family

Very clean and nice place. The water sport like the kayak and paddle boards are a plus. The lake is shallow and great for kids. Overall a great place to stay.

Great lakefront location

We had a wonderful, relaxing time on the lake. It was perfect for our two grandchildren under age 4. The water by the dock was shallow enough for them to enjoy. We spent most of our time outside on the deck and in the water. Online posting reflects the property accurately.

Great vacation week!

We had a great time at this property for a week long vacation with two families. The accommodations at the house were fantastic--great lower level, comfortable beds, kayak and paddle boards, and wonderful deck with lake view. The owner linked us with a pontoon rental for the week and kids loved tubing, swimming off the boat, and fishing. Great shallow area by the dock for water play. We enjoyed the firepit and spectacular lake views.
