Loved the house. We enjoyed watching the gators in the pond out back. Communication with ownership was quick and clear and made the whole process a breeze. Definitely a well-run property and we look forward to return trips!

So much fun!! We love watching the wildlife too. Sometimes it is alligators and sometimes it is sea otters. But the sea otters are so fast most people Don’t know what is making the wave in the water. Thank you so much for staying with us. We look forward to when you can come back, Kathy

This home is in a great location and is peaceful, quiet, and serene. We especially enjoyed the nature all around us and the golf cart rides to fishing, crabbing, restaurants, and beaches. Wonderful stay!

Such a beautiful house! Everything was so clean and comfy. The golf cart is FAST We loved this house and the deer lake area is so quiet and relaxing. We would love to stay again.

This is a well maintained property and very clean. Having access to a golf cart on site was a bonus and overall expense savings. The kitchen and great room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lagoon persuaded us to cook and enjoy our evenings at the house. Will definitely stay here again on our visits to Fripp.

Great experience. New kitchen appliances. Great natural lighting in the morning through the big windows. Well located property. The included golf cart was convenient- carries 4 people or 2 with the back flipped down for cargo. Outdoor shower was helpful. Great to have laundry- the washer/dryer unit was new.

This was the perfect place for our first vacation as a family of four. Fripp was wonderful and staying here only added to the delight. We love being able to look out the windows and see all the wildlife (several alligators). The included golf cart was such a bonus. The house was clean, and the beds were very computable. Kathy was responsive and attentive. You can tell she truly cares about her properties.

Absolutely beautiful place for our Easter family vacation. All of the windows provided such a cheerful and welcoming experience. Our host Kathy was only a phone call/text away and very responsive. You can’t go wrong with this one, we will be planning our next trip soon.

The Surf Shack is such a peaceful oasis right on the lagoon. So many beautiful egrets, herons, storks and alligators and deer to watch with our morning coffee. We loved having "Shortie" to drive around and explore the beautiful island. Went to Nature Center, the marina and the crabbing dock. Beds were comfy, bathrooms clean, kitchen was well stocked . Charcoal grill was great! Kathy was easy to reach and answered all our questions. Not many restaurants on Fripp, but we ate off island at Foolish Frog and Johnsons Creek Tavern-Yummy food and good service at both places. Visited the Penn Center which was extremely interesting. Having the free pass into Hunting Island State Park was helpful. The beach there was so relaxing with very few people, and good shelling. Hope to come back again. Thanks Kathy!

We are thrilled you had a fun time. We love that you enjoyed the wildlife that you can see while just sitting on the couch! We could never focus on a TV show too well as we would be distracted by wildlife TV. Happy to hear that you went to Hunting Island. It is one of our favorite things to do. Shelling and Shark tooth hunting are hobbies of ours. Another great restaurant is on St. Helena Island (7 miles off of the island) Sea Island Bar & Grille. Wonderful food and price with live entertainment on Wednesday, aka "Shrimp night". Hurry back when you can, Kathy

The pool was closed so cannot comment on that. The home was very nice and the owner responded quickly .

The Deer Lake pool is closed through the Winter and some of Spring. There is a heated pool at the Cabana Club that is used throughout the year. Glad you enjoyed your stay and time on Hunting Island! This is by far the best house we have ever stayed in at Fripp. We have been coming for 7 summers and it’s the first time we’ve said- we have to stay here again! The wildlife was incredible!! We saw 4 alligators one morning! The herons and egrets were so active in the morning! The neighborhood is amazing- very safe and quiet. We met a few neighbors at the pool and they were knowledgeable and kind! The house was immaculate and the beds were comfortable! The property manager/owner was so responsive and kind with any questions. The golf cart was fast! The neighborhood pool is fantastic- this is the first year we havnt even used the amenity cards! We honestly won’t get them next year if we stay here again! This house is amazing and we’ll def try to book it next summer!

Beautiful Property

The house was great. We had little bit of trouble getting through the gate upon arrival but Kathy took care of it for us within 5 minutes. Great stay overall.

Holiday Getaway

It was a cold Christmas and not perfect beach weather, but this property was perfect for staying in and relaxing. Fripp is always a great place to relax and this year did not disappoint. The responsiveness of the property management was spot on as well.

Spring time away

Nice location. Kitchen well stocked with good cookware. Comfortable bed. Short walk from car to house. Overall pleased with our stay.

We loved every minute of our visit. The house was perfect and the owner went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible. We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to plan our next trip to beautiful Fripp Island.

Short family vacation

This rental was absolutely amazing!! The view was beautiful from the living room. We even saw an alligator cruise by. It was so nice to have the golf cart and bikes for the trip to the beach and to just ride around the neighborhood. The kitchen was stocked full of everthing you need to cook or grill out, which we did. We will definitely be back in the fall!!

Stay

We had a wonderful time and the house was perfect for us. However, I feel that the amenities cards were too much for what it gave us. We didn’t need a pool pass because we had a pool and to pay for a card to eat or get ice cream was silly. I wish we had known more about the cards as new to the island because I wouldn’t have paid for them.

Thanks for enjoying our house. We hate that you felt it necessary to deduct a star for something that is not in our control. Our letter is pretty explanatory about exactly why you would need the Resort amenity cards. We do have a neighborhood pool that if you should decide to use it during your stay, I am charged an additional fee from my neighborhood association that I do not pass along to my guests. We were pretty attentive to your questions and need for more beach towels when after you left, we discovered that you must have overlooked the ones we had left for your group originally. I would just suggest that In the future, it would be more fair to rate your stay as in the house you were renting, the way the owners/managers responded, cleanliness, comfort and maybe just add in your comments your displeasure with something that is more about the area than the home. Just a suggestion as we work really hard to make sure things are perfect for your stay with us. Thanks, Kathy

Bugs

Killed many Palmetto (cockroaches) , a couple were dead in the floor when we got there. However, everything else was very clean.

The perfect weather has brought about an extra amount of palmetto bugs on the island this past season. Sorry for the challenges. They love to come in any open door, Especially in the evening if any lights are on they will fly right in. Sorry about that. I will make sure we up our outside exterminating.

Deer Lake Property

We love Fripp Island and have vacationed here for years. We always try different properties and this is our take on this one: Pros: The inside of the property is so cute. It is modern and in-style and all the windows in the living room are great for viewing the water & wildlife in it. The mattresses are very comfy! The aircon works well and is nice and cool. There are filters/dehumidifiers in every room which is nice. Cons: The rental comes with a golf cart, but it is very slow. We ended up not using it and only using the second one we had rented. The kitchen is not well stocked with everyday bowls, pans, blender etc. The owner takes a long time to answer any questions you have which is frustrating.
