This in town, 2 bedroom 2 bath penthouse is brand new and built above a two-year long meticulous renovation of an 1840’s church. The view is just spectacular! Big open living space with deck and separated bedrooms. Two big bedrooms each with sitting areas. There are two entrances one for summer one for winter. Parking out front. Beautiful remodel. Super clean and good quality towels and sheets. Short walk to the restaurants and town (what there is of them). And only a 5 minute drive to quoddy head park which was spectacular for hiking plus right by the bridge to Campobello island (bring your passport). A great stay. And host was really nice and responsive. Two bedrooms were on opposite end of the unit so nice and private.

This is our third time staying at the penthouse in Lubec. It seems to get better each year. Very comfortable living quarters, and the view from the deck is mesmerizing. our host had everything we needed and check-in was very easy. We look forward to returning. Highly recommend.

Easy check-in. Facility was clean and was as it appears in the photos. Great views and close to walk to town. Only enough plates and glasses for 4. 37 steps to get to the door and parking for one car. A perfect place for two couples. Wonderful hiking trails in the area and minutes from Canada. Enjoyed the visit to Campobello island. A quaint little New England town.

Great communication with Geno. Perfect location within walking distance to coffee shop and brewery. Very quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and great to have the washer and dryer. Beautiful view from deck. Easy access to all hiking trails in Lubec, Cutler, and Campobello Island. Lubec is a special place and i would highly recommend this apartment.

Perfect in every way.

This space is lovely; clean, fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, new bathrooms, and lots of space in the common area. The view over to Campobello was gorgeous. Easy walk to dinner and downtown. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding View

We wish we could've stayed longer! The property is a newly updated, fun and unique stay!! Beautiful views! Appreciated the well maintained sturdy wodden stairs up to the space. Geno is very friendly and accomidating! Short walk to dining, historic markers, and docs. Hope we find our way back to this lovely town!

Location and Views

We booked this for our wedding vows at Cutler Coast and could not have asked for a better stay. Some things we enjoyed: Waking up to views of the sunrise over the bridge to Campobello island. Enjoying the peaceful town of Lubec. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Cooking meals in the kitchen (I’m vegan, limited options for dining out in Lubec). The king sized bed. Two bathrooms. Lots of sun pouring through the windows and skylights. 10/10 recommend!

Scenic comfort.

We enjoyed a most wonderful week at Geno’s place. Many happy afternoons on the deck watching the tides and the birds! The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The walk into town is short. Very convenient to coffee and brewery! A great place to stay.

Wonderful views of the bridge to Campobello

We had a great visit to Lubec and Geno's place was a perfect place for our stay. Centrally located to the village, it was a convenient walk to all the amenities. Just be prepared to do a lot of stairs!

If you are going to the Lubec area, this is the place you will want to stay. The layout is great, the view is great, and the upfit/remodel job is great. Met the host, Geno, and he was great!

Creative penthouse design

The space is well designed, spacious, and comfortable. Plenty of amenities (even a washer and dryer). As others have mentioned, the view of the International Bridge from the deck is captivating. Geno had a wonderful vision in creating this lovely penthouse above the old church. I was lucky to meet the carpenter who worked on this renovation and got the whole tour. My stay coincided with the first wedding party downstairs - may there be many more!

Quaint property and town. Very walkable to most area restaurants and amenities. Played golf across the bridge at Herring Cove, a very pleasant surprise! Geno the owner was very friendly and accommodating.
