Great Property

My husband and I enjoyed this property so much that we wish we could fold it up and take it with us! Angie, the host, responded promptly to our questions which was very impressive. Several restaurants, shops, and the beach are in very close proximity to this quiet property. This property will forever be our first choice when vacationing in the area. Thanks so much for hosting us!

Review of recent VRBO Stay | Prominence/Florida

Upon our arrival on Saturday, Aug 3 2024 @ 3:08 PM, we encountered a member of the management team (or the landlord/owner) still on the property, leaving with a trash bag in hand, tossing it in the bin that was left in the driveway. There was a "Panhandle Getaway" welcome mat along with a "Hello" mat left at the front door, but the listing doesn’t mention whether the property is managed by Panhandle Getaway, this is unclear as to if it’s owner managed or property managed. Unfortunately, the rental unit was not in a satisfactory condition. The floors were dirty, with visible dirt and hair. The bed and couch pillows had hairs on them, the bathroom drawers were filled with clumps of hair and dust, and the bathroom floors also had hairs and dirt. The beach chairs were filled with sand, and nothing had been washed off. In the secondary bedroom, we placed linens on top of the twin beds and slept on them that way. The twin beds also lacked bottom shams, leaving dirty box springs exposed. We were granted a check-in one hour earlier at 3:00 PM; however, this does not excuse the condition of the house not being properly cleaned before another family’s stay. The condition of the house was not as expected, especially given the Prominence location and cost. However, despite this, we always stay in this area and enjoy our experiences there.

Check in instructions weren’t given to me when promised which created a stressful start… we ended up getting them right before check in. The house and location were great (we always stay in Prominence)… the only complaints I have would be the dishwasher was so dirty and the beds were very uncomfortable… don’t count the sofa bed as sleeping room bc the mattress is like 2 inches thick. When you go on vacation you want to get good rest, so I would say the beds were the biggest downfall of this house… overall we had a very nice stay.

Memorial Day Getaway!

Everything about this property was ideal for our extended weekend family vacation. The home was beautiful, location was prime, and the pool was awesome! Being within walking distance of The Big Chill was a huge plus - we took our kids each night to hang out and enjoy the entertainment! Many thanks to the property owner who was super responsive and helpful! Our family of 4 had such a great time and can't wait to stay here again soon!

Quaint and Cozy

We enjoyed our week here! Loved the carriage home and neighborhood. The beach was close and beautiful. We did not get to enjoy the pool because people got up early and put towels on all the chairs. This would be a recommendation for the association to change.beach chairs were broken but still worked ok. Home was clean and had all we needed…even a crock pot! We enjoyed the bikes but it only had 2 adult bikes and we had 2 adults and 2 teens. More furniture outside would be nice, there is only 2 small chairs and a small table. Loved the area, it is perfect for families! So much to do. Would recommend!

Spring Break 2023

The property is just like the pictures. Everything is new, nice & clean! Pool is great, Neighborhood is nice. We went at a very busy time, The Hub across the street with food and shops was completely overpriced, crowded and I think I got food poisoning from a $40 lobster roll. Owner recommended Red Bar for seafood in Grayton Beach and that place was great! Local state parks are beautiful and beaches are clean and not too crowded. The unit was extremely quiet and we had a relaxing week.

Spring Break Getaway!

We rented for our weeklong spring break stay with our teenage son and his friend. It was the perfect space for our needs. The boys enjoyed hanging out at the Big Chill across the street, and we enjoyed knowing they were in a safe spot. The condo was super clean and had everything we needed for the week. Convenient walking to the pool and Big Chill, and an easy bike ride to the beaches. Angie was super to work with, and very responsive to anything we needed. The whole process was so easy! This was our first trip to the area, and we can’t wait to come back!
