Sunrise Mountain Retreat-Summer Vacation with Hot Tub

Welcome to Sunrise Mountain Retreat! Come enjoy this beautiful 3 bedroom house with a breath taking view of the Arkansas Grand Canyon! We would love if you would enjoy our small part of the gorgeous Ozark mountains! This home is in a beautiful, secluded spot, with easy access for all weather conditions. Perfect for motorcyclists too. The highlight of this property is the full length back deck with a hot tub to enjoy the view of the Arkansas Grand Canyon and the amazing sunrises!

This home is somewhat beautiful, dated but has updated decor to make it a cozy and relaxing spot for all your vacation adventures! This home has a spacious living area including a fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs, including cookware, plates, silverware etc.. There is a coffee pot, filters, coffee beans and grinder, sugar and creamer. There is a propane grill (propane included) on the back deck as well as a propane (propane included) firepit. The sleeping arrangements include a master bedroom has a king sized bed, bedroom 2 has a full sized bed, bedroom 3 has full size bunk beds. There are 2 bathrooms, one is centrally located in the hall and the other one is off the master bedroom.
There is a hot tub on the back deck to relax after a day of hiking and exploring!
There is a washer and dryer in the house for guests' use.
The cabin is stocked with laundry detergent, diswashing and dishwasher detergent.

You will have access to the entire house aside from one locked closet for the cleaners' use.

We are not on site but we are happy to help you with any questions you may have via call, text or email.

A nice quiet spot that sits back off of scenic Hwy 7. There is another rental cabin not too far away through the woods on the neighboring property. During the winter months you can sometimes hear guests if they are outside but it’s not generally bothersome. You can also see/hear traffic on the road.

Due to the somewhat remote location, having your own vehicle will be a necessity.
Guests must start the dishwasher and start the laundry upon checkout.

Great place

Stayed here for a motorcycle trip, and the location is great.The property was clean, tidy and well equipped.The hosts were great, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome! I'd stay here again happily!

Sunrise Mountain Retreat is just that, a retreat from life to the astounding beauty of nature. This home is perfect for a couple or family vacation. Perfect location and separated from any adjoining property. This is a perfect spot for relaxation or for heading out to hiking trails or Buffalo River.

Great hospitality

We experienced the best southern hospitality in this place. On arrival we found out that they had baked us a tray of brownies, which was to die for. they also had snacks and cookies, water, condiments, coffee, and a lot of the essential that what you need to make your stay easier.

Beautiful Views

We had the best time staying here. The screened porch with beautiful mountain and valley views was a highlight. The house was very comfortable for our family of 5. We enjoyed floating the Buffalo River, swimming holes at Steel Creek and Pruitt, and exploring Dogwood Canyon in Missouri. We hiked Lost Valley Trail by Ponca. Bring a camping hammock to string between the many trees! Would stay again!

Cozy and inviting

We had a lovely time and this cabin. The views were great and we liked the kitchen and cooked for ourselves each meal. You can tell the owners have really thought about the space and how to make their guests comfortable.

Very happy with stay

Our family of 5 traveled from a larger city to hike and float the river. We had a great time and enjoyed the property and view. Everything was clean and very basic nothing too high end or fancy but totally met our needs. We hope to come back to area again!

Beautiful place to stay

We spent 3 nights there and really wish we could have stayed longer. It was very clean, comfortable, spacious. Incredible view…would love to have had more time to hang out on the deck and the screened in porch. Beds were extremely comfortable with nice linens. We would definitely like to come back.

What a view!

This is a great property. The owners stocked it well with all that we would need. The view is better than the pictures and we could not ask for a better host and stay. We use VRBO a lot and this is one of the better properties we have seen. A great place to rest and lots of great hiking all around. I highly recommend this location!

Unforgettable Mornings!!

This home exceeded my expectations! The hosts were extremely kind and helpful, answering questions before we arrived. The sunrises were unbelievable!! As a photographer, this was a dream come true. My photos from this trip bring back my sense of awe every time I look at them! (And the brownies were a massive hit with my kids!) :)

We were greeted with fresh brownies and an amazing view! The property was very well maintained and comfy. The owners were very thoughtful providing us with complimentary water, bathroom products and chocolates on each bed! We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay! The email we got before we went gave the wrong address, which caused some confusion. We were also given a pin, though, so we’re eventually able to find the cabin.

Sunrise mountain resort

It was a nice little getaway. The only problem was a little hiccup with hot tub. Was looking forward to using it- but didn’t get to was a big factor in renting. The brownies were a very nice touch.

Incredible view with good feels all around

Host was very pleasant and helpful. Property and lodging is excellent. View from the rim of the Arkansas Grand Canyon is postcard perfect. Home is dated but very clean, tastefully decorated and in good shape. Beds were comfortable, HVAC and appliances worked well. Location is handy, being right off Scenic Hwy 7 (but not too close to the road), and relatively close to Jasper and local eateries. Some great hikes not too far away. Would highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind to enjoy the soothing sights and sounds of nature. Hope to stay here again sometime.

Outstanding place to stay

My family of 4 loved this little house. The view is incredible, beds are cozy, and the house has everything you could need. My 8 year old son and I just hung out for a day while my husband and daughter went fishing. My son and I admired the view, played outside, played cards, looked at wildlife with binoculars, and watched a movie while enjoying hot chocolate and also fresh brownies left for us by the owner. The rest of our visit consisted of exploring amazing hiking trails, checking out stores in Jasper (a shop with cool rocks & crystals was a hit with the kids ) and eating delicious food from Ozark cafe. This was one of our top family vacations ever!

Older home but fantastic view

Fantastic view! Older home needs a bit of work. Pretty strong smell of moldew and mold inside. Very limited pots and pans for cooking. Outside could use some Cleaning and maintenance. The hottub was a nice addition. The view the view the view!! maintenance and cleaning.
