Welcome to Glen Woods Retreat in the cute town of Glen Arbor nestled in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. This spacious home is located .3 miles from all that downtown has to offer, including restaurants, cute shops, and a family-friendly park with tennis courts, pickle ball, and a playground. A five-minute walk takes you to either Glen Lake or Lake Michigan. The house is a three-bedroom, two-bath home that accommodates 12 (4 on futons). It has two large living areas, an open kitchen and a large dining area. Includes linens, a gas fireplace, high-speed internet, washer/dryer, brand new air conditioning, towels, a deck, gas grill, fire pit, and a fully stocked kitchen.

Great place to stay in Glen Arbor

My family loved this place. Easy walk into downtown for food and shopping. Close to Sleeping Bear Dunes and several beaches. Would gladly stay there again. Highly recommend.

Perfect Spot

Really great location walking distance to the beach and shops. Kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, and there was plenty of space for our group to all have privacy. Host was very quick to answer thru our stay.

Perfect getaway!

We travel to Glen Arbor every year, and this house was a perfect base for our family of 7 this year, including our 16 month old daughter. The house was clean, check in was simple, and the house had everything we needed and more for meals and game nights. It’s conveniently located within walking distance to town and the park which was a big hit daily. I couldn’t recommend more!

Our family of 5 adults, 2 young children and a dog enjoyed a wonderful week in Glen Arbor.The house accommodated everyone comfortably; towels were plentiful and fresh; everything we needed in the kitchen; house very clean.We were a 5 minute walk into town, and within a 10-20 minute drive to a variety of beaches, the dune climb, coast guard station in Glen Haven, and library in Empire. 30-40 minutes to Suttons Bay and Northport.Our family flew to Michigan, and consequently had limited space to pack things for the kids, such as books and beach toys. That is something which I think future guests would appreciate having in the house.Isabel responded very quickly to all questions or concerns.

Hi, I’m sorry you had trouble getting in, but we did get you in the house within 15 minutes of your first message! We unfortunately can’t provide a garage door opener in order to protect our property between guests. And also the opener would still have to be inside the locked door. Sorry we also don’t have influence over the weather in the region, I wish we could though!

A wonderful house in a great location.

My family and I had a great stay at this rental. The layout of the house and its location were excellent. I especially enjoyed the lower-level access to the back yard. Kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of pantry space. Simple check-in/out instructions. 2 1/2 car garage made it easy to pack up cars for each day's adventures. Overall, we were very pleased with these wonderful accommodations. Thank you.

Great family house close to downtown Glen Arbor

The house on Lakewood is a great location - easy walking-distance to Cherry Republic, Art's, the beach, Anderson's and the Pine Cone (some of our Glen Arbor favorites). The house has lots of great space, fully stocked kitchen, nice towels and linens too. A/C units are a nice addition on a hot summer day! Second refrigerator in basement is a really nice thing to have and the washer/dryer unit is awesome/new. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this home as a rental.

Best Glen Arbor week ever

My husband and I love coming to Glen Arbor with our daughter and her family. The total is seven, which includes three teenagers. We’ve been coming to this area every year for decades. we’ve rented cabins, stayed at the Homestead, even stayed in motels and in Traverse City and order to drive out to our favorite Glen Lake. This VRBO house has been the best experience we’ve ever had. It had all of the space we needed, And beautiful windows for light, and easy access to everything we love to see and do and enjoy. Walking distance to so many favorites Come, including our annual pontoon ride on Glen Lake.

Great House, Great Location

Overall the house was perfect for our family of 7. More than enough space for the teens to have their own getaway downstairs when needed and yet comfortable to be all together upstairs as well. Kitchen had everything we needed and we fit well at the dining table with an extra chair from downstairs. Hose out back to squirt of sandy feet. Grill and deck in a quiet backyard. We loved the location with regards to both the nearby town, park, restaurants, etc, and also all of the National Lakeshore hot spots. Rented a pontoon on nearby Glen Lake and visited many hiking locations. Easy drive to Empire also. The only hiccup for me is that the main bedroom has some fully uncovered windows (high) and some covered with just sheers. Between that natural light and the wall-mounted air conditioning unit overhead with a light on it, the room is not dark. So, not much extra sleep was had. Not enough of a problem to deter me from renting again though given all of the other plusses!
