Absolute gem of a property! Before we were even checked in we felt welcomed because of how sweet and responsive the owner is. Spacious rooms, great kitchen, everything was sparkling clean- and the kids fell in love immediately with all the things to play with! Almost felt like being at home because of how comfortable it is. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! And of course, the best perk of all: being 2 minutes away from Schwartz‘s restaurant lol

This home is in the country which was exactly what we were looking for. Great place to sit on the deck and watch the night sky!It is an older home and a little less clean than I would have liked, but overall good.Wifi and cell service a little sketchy.

Relaxing but missing a room

Overall it was pretty great and perfect for the family to hand out. The only thing I noticed was lacking was the listing said 4 bedrooms and I only saw 3. The two twin size beds in a room were no where to be found. We didn't need them so it was not a huge deal to my group just something to look at before booking.

Calm and relaxing

We enjoyed a very calm an peaceful weekend. It was our 20 year wedding anniversary and we needed the time away. VRBO, however has a hot tub as an amenity and there is none with this cottage. Property manager said she had told them to remove but they haven't removed it yet. Overall it was a great weekend.

Lovely location

Comfortable, quiet cottage with lots of extra touches and everything you need besides food. The yard is wonderful! The host truly cares! Schwartz Family Restaurant is close by and excellent plus a cute shop inside. Hoosier National Forest is awesome.

Cozy Comfort

Norma Jean was hospitable and the property was cute with lots fun details. We traveled with two families for a Holiday World trip and it was one of our best yet!

This was a fun stay. Close to Holiday world and thats what we wanted. Norma Jean was easy to talk to and very generous. We had really bad storms while there but she made sure it didnt ruin our trip. I would stay here again. Very beautiful area.

Country House

My three sisters and I really enjoyed the house. Everything was clean and all necessities were provided. The house is just located around the curve from the Schwartz Amish restaurant. We enjoyed the home cooked dinner buffet. The fried chicken was the bomb. Went back the next morning for breakfast and it was delicious also. Winzerwald Winery was really close to the house, we enjoyed it. We also went to the French Lick casino, 25 minutes away. I didn’t have any luck but my baby sister made out like a bandit! Lucky girl!! In all, a great weekend! Thanks Norma.

All needs were met perfectly

All six of us loved this property. Everything we needed or wanted was supplied. We were very comfortable in this cottage. It was attractively decorated and we could’ve stayed there for any length of time. We highly recommend it.

Wedding weekend for in laws

My family and I came into town for my brother n law’s wedding and had a wonderful stay at Norma’s cottage! Norma was super accommodating and made our stay so comfortable. She also made sure our two little daughters were comfy and had what they needed. The house was very spacious and had plenty of room for our family of four plus my parents. Location was perfect and close to the Barn on Jericho. Communication was also very great! We will definitely be back to visit!

Wonderful Weekend

Plenty of room. Very comfortable beds. Loved the decor. Also, loved having a washer and dryer and 2 full bathrooms. Loved the beautiful setting!

Really felt at home on vacation to Patoka Lake

Really nice and welcoming host! Quick access to the lake and nearby attractions. Plenty of room for many guest. Was able to have family over to visit that were staying at the Splash Park nearby. Books to read, brochures of nearby attractions, cornhole, Putt-Putt and bowling for the family. Beautiful flowers, and plenty of seating, inside and out. Located about 2 minutes down road from Swartz Restaurant. i would highly recommend staying there and we will be returning for future vacations as well!
