Welcome to your piece of paradise. Come and enjoy a peaceful, carefree moment in time and watch the St. Johns River flow by. Sit under the oaks draped with Spanish moss swaying in the breeze. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee while watching the amazing sunrise. Spend some time kayaking down the river observing nature. Fish or cast your net from the dock. Bring your boat and explore the area. You are centrally located to everything north and central Florida has to offer. Most are within a 1–2 hour drive.
The space:
Situated on a wooded waterfront 1.5-acres with beautiful, protected wetlands, oak trees draped with Spanish moss, 200 feet of waterfrontage, a beautiful view of the eastern sky and on one of the widest sections of the St. Johns River, you will find a 2500 sqft. home with an open floor plan, large modern kitchen, large family room, large dining room, 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, master suite with a tiled walk-in shower, utility room with washer and dryer, half bath and a large, screened lanai overlooking the St. Johns River. Enjoy the 65" Roku HD TV in the living room, cook your meals in the well-equipped kitchen and dine inside or outside in the screened lanai. There are two dining areas inside, the dining room has a beautiful antique mahogany dining table with seating for 6 and there's a round oak pedestal table in the kitchen with seating for 4-6. Outside you will find a patio table with seating for 4-5 with a view of the river. Or take your meal to the end of the dock and enjoy it while watching the river flow by.
Bring your boat and put in at the nearby boat ramp (1 mile from the house) and use the boat lift on the dock during your stay. Crystal Cove is a short ride by boat or by car where you can gas up your boat or rent one to enjoy during your stay. The St. Johns River is the longest river in Florida at 310 miles and unique in that it's one of only two rivers in the world that flows from south to north. Guess the name of the other river?? It flows at an easy going 0.3 miles per hour, contains over 3000 lakes and has the nickname "the liquid chameleon". The St. Johns River is known locally as a Bass fishing paradise. The home is located in an area of the river (lower basin) known for both fresh and saltwater varieties of fish and abundant shrimp (shrimp season is June-October). FYI, a fishing license is required in the state of Florida.
Enjoy kayaking from your backyard. You may be greeted by a manatee at the end of the dock. There is abundant birdlife in the area to observe also.
Enjoy the firepit at night under the stars.

Guest access
Your home is on a very quiet long paved road in the country. You can access the home by car or boat. There is parking for up to 8 cars in the driveway. Please note: The garage is not available to guests.
Other things to note
Please be aware there is a security system with 3 "OUTSIDE" video cameras. They are there for security only when the house is vacant. It will not be active (unless you request it to be active) during your stay. I activate it when the house is vacant.
Also, this is Florida, and you will be near the water. Florida and water equal wildlife like alligators, snakes, eagles, owls, egrets, herons, and manatees. Always be aware of your surroundings.
Please note:
Due to the unlimited sizes people come in, I only provide "Adult" sized life jackets for the kayaks or for your personal boat if you bring one. If you wish to use the kayaks or your own personal boat during your stay and have people in your group that require other sized lifejackets, please bring the appropriately sized life jackets for them. If you do not bring appropriately sized life jackets for people that a "large" life jacket is not appropriately sized for, I strongly recommend that you not use the kayaks or your personal boat. Please be aware that you must wear a lifejacket while on a watercraft on the river. This is a State of Florida requirement/law and is strictly enforced.
