A beautifully renovated cottage just minutes away from Bantam and Litchfield, this is the perfect getaway for a couple or family to visit Litchfield County. Shops and recreation are close by but you are in a peaceful and bucolic setting with views of the Litchfield Land Trust forest and minutes from White Memorial. The master bedroom has a modern ensuite bathroom. There is plenty of room for up to three kids in an open second floor space. Enjoy the outdoor bluestone terrace for sunsets and grilling. Pool access during the summer months.

Wonderful stay! The home was very comfortable and well stocked, with plenty of toiletries and supplies so we had everything we needed. Jeff was a fantastic host - friendly helpful and responsive. He even lent us a sled for the hill in the backyard and helped clear snow by our car after a foot of snow fell on our second night. We really enjoyed our time here and can’t wait to visit again.

We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful, historic home. It is in a great location with access to many local towns and activities. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Jeff the host was very welcoming. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the area!

Just a wonderful cottage on a quiet street just outside of charming Bantam. The hosts are lovely and helpful and the cottage is very well equipped. The pool was perfect for the Indian Summer weather as well. I’m sure we will be back.

We had a great 2 night stay here. The host responded quickly to a few questions, and was gracious and friendly while there. The house met our needs, with a bedroom downstairs, and then a large room upstairs that has 3 beds with a lot of room, etc. It was clean and updated in the kitchen and main bathroom. Nice view out the back and a patio for enjoying that. Location was great - out on a beautiful country road, but just a few minutes to town. Would recommend.

We were hoping for a quiet, romantic getaway—and this cottage delivered beautifully. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt right at home. The pictures really do capture the place well. The space is cozy, well cared for, and struck the perfect balance of nostalgic charm and modern comfort. The bathroom tub was an absolute highlight—ideal for unwinding and reconnecting. We also really appreciated the thoughtful guide left by the host, which helped us discover a few local gems we might’ve otherwise missed. This stay was exactly what we needed.

Although the description calls it an 1870 cottage it's much more comfortable and well-equipped than that might imply, especially the kitchen which has everything you could want for cooking. We especially loved the pool, hot tub, patio with a grill, and great location with easy access to town. Karen and Jeff were wonderful hosts. Just note the pool/hot tub is shared and there are some hour limitations.

Property was great and the owners thought of everything. Instructions were clear and helpful! Didn’t want for a thing, such a lovely space to spend a few days and so close to Litchfield and Bantam shops and restaurants. We loved it!!

I rented this charming cottage in Litchfield to celebrate a milestone Birthday, as I love this area of CT. I couldn’t be happier about our experience. The hosts were very welcoming, kind, and helpful. Everything was easily and clearly communicated. Anything we needed they were happy to help with. The cottage was exactly as depicted in the photographs. Absolutely charming. We’re looking forward to planning another visit

Mother daughter trip

Spacious well appointed comfortable cottage in a great location near anything you could need, quiet and beautiful. Enjoyed a long weekend and can’t wait to return one day. Very thoughtful owners- had snow in April and every morning the path was cleared and sweep for the car was ready and waiting.

Idyllic Litchfield Getaway

Jeffrey’s cottage is perfect for a Litchfield getaway - quiet and peaceful yet within close striking distance to restaurants, shops, etc. The space is well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and communication was a breeze. Our only hope is that next time we’ll be able to stay longer!
