Cabin Boasts a fire pit, an amazing hot tub on a spacious back deck with fawntastic views, plenty of star gazing and ability to watch the snow fall from your hot tub, or rocking chair. Come experience beautiful views, tall pines and wildlife (you will see tons of deer daily).

Upper Canyon home centrally located to all the main attractions:

the cabin was clean . Host is very cordial . outside. The cabin was terrible and weeds about 3 feet high parking was misleading. You didn’t say the cabin was 20 feet below the parking area. Outside area layout was terrible, grrill in ftont of cabin, fire ring and settling area behind cabin down a steep slope with no steps.Outside area is very inconvenient or anything.
Very difficult for a handicap person

I had a very quiet, relaxing stay at Fawntastic cabin. There was a great view from the deck which included rockers, a glider and a spotless hot tob. This is a very comfortable cabin at a great price in a location that’s convenient to town.

Ruidoso flooding adventure

Short answer, we saw the property, and the drive to it, and decided it wasn’t a safe place for US, mostly due to a partially washed out access road and lots of mud and dirt over the roads as well as water running over the roads headed to the property. I’ve already gone back and forth with the owner. I got a partial refund, but to be clear, I briefly asked about refunds twice, and didn’t constantly badger about refunds. I didn’t decide to go elsewhere until I saw the property. I knew I could be out the cost. My wife and I, being in our late 60’s, decided it was more risk than we wanted. What happened after we cancelled was something else. As it turns out, it was smart, as a flood of water descended into town from the mountains. YouTube it. It worked out for best for us, though the owner thought we should contact him before we walked away. Don’t know why that mattered, because our safety was the most important thing to us. A couple things about the listing too. It said when we rented it that 4x4 or chains recommended for snow. It is a good idea to have at least all wheel drive for this cabin too. Also, a consideration also is to bring in some provisions when you first get there. We were in a restaurant next to the flooding as it happened. Bridges across several roads were closed, and many people had to wait in traffic just to get to their homes. Bottom line, it wasn’t for us. I’m sure I’ll get bad mouthed for this, but I won’t be bad mouthing anyone. Use your own judgment.

Fantastic!!!

The property was absolutely gorgeous!! We got to enjoy the hot tub and the back deck. The sunrise and sunset was beautiful. We loved seeing the deer and wild horses so close! Very impressed and can’t wait to book another trip!!

Spring Break retreat

This cabin was perfect for our New Mexico getaway! The location was great, the grocery store Lowes was wonderful and 5 minutes away. Everything is close by. The hot tub was great, and I loved the cast iron stove. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Perfect Stay

The cabin is well maintained and there were plenty of extra pillows, blankets, and towels. The hosts were very detailed with instructions on check-in and checkout. Everything was in great working order as well and along with dishes and utensils they also provided other amenities such as tinfoil, oil, and spices. 10/10!

Relaxing getaway

Headed up to Ruidoso for a quick getaway in the mountains, and this was the perfect little cabin for us! The hot tub, fireplace and all amenities worked great and the view was serene. Would definitely book again in the future.

The property is serene and cozy. Loved the hot tub feature (although we didn't use) and the visits by the local wildlife. I would stay there again. We really had everything we needed.

2024 Ruidoso Trip

Property was very nice. Good location to town and surrounding areas. Ruidoso is definitely one of my favorite areas to visit. Will Definitely come back. Was impressed at how Ruidoso came through with the fires and the flooding. The recovery was very impressive. We had a great time and would recommend to anyone.

Ruidoso Retreat

We have visited Ruidoso many times and the Fawntastic Cabin is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed. It had everything we needed for our long weekend getaway. The back porch was our favorite hanging out spot. There was plenty of wildlife to see every day and we enjoyed the hot tub every night. The beds were very comfortable. The check in and check out process was extremely smooth and the host was readily available. We will definitely check the availability of this cabin next time we visit.

Absolutely beautiful property! The deck and hot tub were very clean and cozy, with a pretty view of the nearby mountains. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner each night, and we were comfortable in the living and bedrooms. The property owner answered all of my questions quickly and politely. No trouble checking in or out at all. Overall wonderful experience!

We could not have ended up at a better place to stay for Memorial Weekend. The listing had every amenity we needed, and then some. Everything was clean - including the hot tub with incredible views! We have found our new go-to spot in Ruidoso.

Relaxing getaway

My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was just as described. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and extra pillows. The location was perfect. You’re close to town, but far enough away that it’s quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was a favorite. Peaceful mornings sitting on the back deck drinking coffee and reading a book was so relaxing. We saw many deer in the yard also. Overall, we had everything we needed to cook up dinner and breakfast. There’s a small Lowe’s grocery store very close to the cabin that is convenient. There is also an Albertson’s not to far (they are closed on Sundays). Overall, we had a wonderful time and would stay here again.
