Fun in the sun! Cowboy pool + walk to the lake + kids friendly

Welcome to Junglehaus NBTX!

The Haus has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and sleeps up to 16 (though the twin bunk beds may be more comfortable for your littles!). Located just 10 minutes from I-35, this is also an excellent center-point for exploring San Antonio, Austin, and Fredericksburg/wine country. 10-15 min from multiple tubing outfitters, 20 min to Schlitterbahn, and 20 seconds to the lake. Bring your tubes, kayaks, canoes, boats - there is a shared boat ramp a few feet from the house. (Please let us know in advance if you are bringing any of your own equipment, so we can discuss further!)

- Downstairs: two additional bedrooms with 1 queen bed each, 1 full bath
- Downstairs: Kids' friendly bedroom with two twin bunk beds
- Upstairs: Queen bedroom, full bath; small deck with forest views
- FOUR twin XL beds in the closets with frames (no airbeds or water beds or futons -- we value your comfort!)

Great time

We had a great stay at this Vrbo. The owner/manager was very attentive, accommodating, and had great response time. The only things I noticed were the hammocks in the listing were not present, and the master bedroom stays very warm but the owners made sure there’s plenty of fans to help! I would stay again.

The house is really nice. Can get a view of the river from its location. Had plenty of rooms for four families and able to put all of the kids together in one room with bunk beds. Plenty of space to eat together and open to interact with each other.

Quiet home on beautiful property

Beautiful, older home in gorgeous lakeside neighborhood. The beds and furniture were comfortable and the kitchen and coffee station well stocked. My family loved it. I wish I had known that there’s only one tv in the home (living room). And that the access to the lake in the lake (per picture / map in listing) is non existent. Every home on the lake had signs saying private property so we couldn’t get close enough to enjoy the view. You can see a sliver of it from the amazing front porch though.

NOT WHAT IT SEEMS.

The house looks as pictured but is in need of attention. The master bedroom the ac did not work properly and the room stayed hot the entire time along with the upstairs bedroom on the top floor. The main shower did not work we were unable to take showers unless you just wanted one temp which was hot and the toilets kept getting clogged. The floors in the house had several soft spots enough one might feel concerned. The water dispenser on the fridge did not work. The large deck on front of house seems to need attention we had a large group of 11 and when we’re were all on deck it seemed unstable and not safe. House stated that it could sleep 16 . Which is why we rented but had some guest cancel which was a blessing as I feel the house was maxed out at holding 11 yes we had the bunk beds but as adults they were on the floor pretty much and not comfortable for adults. Not enough room for 2 people. We made the best of our stay but would not rent again.

Good for a big family

Overall a good place. It's definitely in the woods and you can expect all the bugs, wasps, catepillar overload, and any other creepy crawlies you can think of when you think of being in the woods. The cowboy pool gets filled with bugs and stuff falling from the trees as soon as the cover is off. Being from Colorado, I didn't fully expect that. It's only a few minutes from all of the New Braunsfels fun and is only 45 mins to San Antonio so location was great. The river or lake access isn't ideal right by the home but it's definitely got the southern charm. I'm a picky sleeper and the beds were great. All in all it was a good place to get together with family though.
