Fantastic views on end of island away from crowds

Great views in a great location on the island. Less crowded since you are at end of the island but easy walk to the restaurants and shops around the pier.

This was the perfect place for a small girls weekend. Property was clean, well stocked, great location, and within walking distance to beach, stores, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Great spot

We had a great week at Beachy Keen! The location is perfect right across from beach access. Very quiet location yet walkable to all the restaurants/ bars. The kids brought scooters, skate boards/ blades and were able to utilize the parking area for the beach in the evenings. Would def recommend this spot and would stay again!

A quiet week at the beach

When we arrived, the property was ready and very inviting and spotlessly clean. The location was ideal - within walking distance of shops/food and, most importantly, only a few steps from the beach. My only regret is that we could not stay longer.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The house was fully equipped with all we needed to cook and relaxed there. Beautiful view of the beach from their porches. Comfortable beds for adults and for the kids. Loved it.

Lovely property; steps to the beach - sunrise in one direction, another few steps, watch the sunset. Great location, responsive hosts. Bed was comfortable; we had everything we needed and felt rejuvenated- we didn’t want to leave!

Lovely oceanfront property

Great location, comfortable furnishings, and a great view; what else could you ask for? Our family (2 adults, 1 small child, and a grandmother) have stayed at multiple Tybee properties over the years, and this place provided all the necessities for a great stay. The property owner even stopped by to welcome us when he was in the area and saw us outside. We'll definitely be visiting again!

it was great except the shower upstairs had no hot water so we had to take cold showers, but otherwise, it was good.

Marie, I am sorry that you had trouble and wished you had mentioned that to me when I came out. The faucet upstairs was installed backwards, so it did not have to be turned all the way on as a usual faucet. I am glad you had a great stay though and hope you can return. Thanks! Dee

Good stay

We had a good stay. The place was comfortable and convenient to the beach and shops. The host was very responsive after problems with the TV and Internet, and he sent a repair person out for the water heater when we could not get hot water. The unit needs some attention, and some things need to be replaced due to age. Overall, though, a good experience.

Lovely location, all things walkable

This property is in a great location. The beach is across the parking area, 60 seconds to the sand. And restaurant and shops are less than half a mile. You are at the south end of the island, which is nice for beach access and smaller crowds. There is a parking area right next to the property, which is great for people watching during the day, but if you are a private person you might feel a little exposed. The parking lot closes at sundown. The decks upstairs and downstairs were great with views of the ocean, sunrise and sunset. The property is a single unit that is not shared. There is parking underneath the house, with space to store your beach stuff. One thing to be aware of is that cockroaches apparently come out in mid-april, which is when we were there. We saw cockroaches on two separate nights. Once in the kitchen and the second time by the door to the deck. We contacted the owner and she had someone come and spray.

Clean, Crisp, Attractive Dwelling with Ocean View

Sometimes vacation rental properties feel like the owners raided grandma's attic to furnish them with stodgy and cluttered results. Beachy Keen is the exact opposite. Think white linens fluttering on an ocean breeze. This place is clean and bright. The sun pours in, immediately lifting your mood. Wake up in the morning and walk a few feet to the beach to view the sunrise, which is spectacular on most days. The kitchen was renovated shortly before our stay, and everything in it was new and clean and functional. Our hosts are planning additional renovations, as time allows, and I am looking forward to a return stay.

Beachy-not-too-Keen

The location was wonderful, and the views from the condo were beautiful. From here, everything rapidly goes downhill. Communication with the owner was abysmal as there was none prior to our arrival, and only one brief email about the front door lock code during our stay. List of problems found with this rental are as follows: *Cleanliness(big cockroaches, curtains stained, dirty furniture) *Security(sliding door locks did not work properly, we had to store our valuables in the trunk of our car) *Safety(several deck rails and outside table broken) *Amenities(shower delivers only cold/lukewarm water, tub drains slowly, roof leaks down through ceiling in heavy rain, no beach towels provided, no beach decor inside, no welcome from the owners, I made several small repairs to kitchen utensils for my own purposes which should have been done as a part of general maintenance. The grills were too dirty and too in disrepair to be used. General upkeep of condo poor. We left the condo cleaner and better appointed then we found it. Sadly, the only thing of abundance to be found in the rental beyond the view was the cost of renting it, which was infinitely more than the value we received. We were greatly disappointed with the general mediocrity of the condo because it was meant to be a combined "wow" birthday/anniversary/family vacation gift to my wife at her favorite beach (Tybee). To be sure, we will visit Tybee again, but we will most definitely not stay here.

We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. We always communicate with our renters as necessary so they may enjoy their stay. If we are notified of any issues, we respond quickly and in the most appropriate way possible. We have not had any issues with the roof as it was recently installed in May, 2024 and we had no problems during the recent tropical storm. Beach towels are not supplied as stated in the property details. As for repairs, if we had been notified, we would have handled immediately. We encourage our renters to let us know of any problems and are welcome to have an open communication. I wish we had been advised of any issues as we do not want our renters to be disappointed. I did reach out to John to learn more about the issues, but he has not responded as of 9/3/24. We will work towards addressing his issues brought to our attention as best as possible. Recent renters have more than enjoyed their stay with us.

Horrible, Disgusting, Unkept, Rundown

This property is absolutely disappointing. Apparently no one actually checks to see the shape of this place. Cobs webs hanging from the ceilings. Rusted ceiling vents with flaking paint. Bathroom walls with visible marks of something running down the walls that has dried. A trash can in the small bedroom that has some awful stains with no bag in it. Paint flaking on the walls in multiple places. Soap scum on the shower doors. Doors with all kinds of smudges and marks from years of use. Hair on the bathroom floors. Stained furniture. Floors covered in dust and sand. Does anyone actually clean in between uses? I know there is a significant cleaning fee so I would expect some basic cleaning. The medicine cabinet in the small bathroom is disgusting when I opened it.My wife and daughter and I were so disappointed. I can’t believe the pictures on the listing. Definitely not a true representation of the current status of the property. The curtains in the master bedroom have some dark nasty looking spots on them! Makes me wonder about the bedding. There is some nasty brown stain on the bed head board and wall of the master bedroom. To be honest I’m afraid to look closely at the bedding. I truly hope someone takes the time and effort to get the property back in shape. I communicated multiple times with the property owner and their response was we will send the cleaning crew and refund the cleaning fee and send clean towels. Please don’t waste your money on this property!
