The location is great. Very close to grocery stores and walking distances to various restaurants. Paddle boards and kayaks were available for use and was nice. Manatees and dolphins were off the docks daily to view. Our family had a nice time here.

It was an beautiful spot. The location is everything! Fellow boat owners that bring your boat, know there is no fresh water and no power hook up at the dock. Easy to get in out of with our 21 foot Tidewater. The house does sit with 2 other houses on the same property. Overall we had a blast!! We would definitely do it again!!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay at the villa! It’s a great location for walking to restaurants, bait shop, stores. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and watching the sun set each night. The little beach area is nice with chairs, kayaks, paddle boards, and plenty of floats to use if you want to get in the water. The water is very clear but the sandy bottom is grassy. We still got in the water and had fun. Some of us even snorkeled around the dock. This area is shared with the house guests and cottage guests but we had no issues at all with the other guests. The villa was just as pictured. The kitchen was well stocked. Everything you need is there - towels, beach towels, and starting kitchen supplies. Parking is a little tight so if you have a large vehicle, you may need to rent the house that has a little more parking space. I took one star off because there is a washer/dryer on site but it’s laundry mat style. So if you plan to wash/dry clothes, bring some quarters. First time I’ve ever stayed anywhere that I had to pay to wash/dry clothes. Overall, a great place to stay in Key Largo!

This villa was clean & spacious. Tucked away yet still convenient, with a nice covered patio & well-equipped kitchen. Able to dock boat and park vehicle. We would defintely come back!

Perfect Getaway

The Villa was the perfect getaway for our time in Key Largo. Right off the main road and easy to get to & from with a private dock and some kayaks available. There are 2 other houses on the property but everything is arranged to where you have plenty of privacy. Amazing sunset views from the dock as well!

Great stay. House was perfect for 2 couples. Everything you needed. Property was lovely. Dock to watch sunsets. Kayaks available. Wish the weather had cooperated better. But overall great stay.

Key Largo Getaway Jan 2025

My husband, our 2 adult daughters, and I enjoyed our 8 day stay. The property had everything we needed and was super clean. We loved seeing the manatees off the dock and watching the beautiful sunset every night. The furniture in the living room was a little uncomfortable, but ok for the week. The space was perfect. The owners we met were very nice and had good recommendations for things to do and places to eat.

Beautiful property with private dock

Hidden away just off us1, the property is lush and beautiful. House (Villa) had everything we needed. King bed and other bedroom has two twin beds. Pull out couch is not comfortable. There are also two other houses on property. But you still have your privacy. Overall terrific

Perfect stay!

Although this property is right off the main road you would never know it while staying there. Tucked away in a tropical setting it was the perfect place to stay for a local beach wedding we were attending. Clean, spacious, and comfortable! The dock was wonderful for morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail to view the sunset! We had a fabulous stay - thank you! Highly recommend!!!

Alamar villa

This is our new favorite place to stay in the Keys. 4 stars for location is only because it is in the downtown area and traffic is busier and louder than further south. The villa is off the road so it doesn’t bother at the cottage. Wonderful stay. Thank you.

The property is on the main road but is tucked in among tropical plants and borders the water with a private dock. You have the convenient location while being very private. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We enjoyed our stay there

We really liked free kayaks on the property and we used them twice a day in the morning and night to enjoy beautiful view and quietness of the waters. The house was spacious and we had everything we needed, except I had difficulty to turn tv/news on for some reason it kept circling forever, maybe written instructions would be helpful. We would rent the house again for our vacation!

Sunset view home in perfect Keys setting

You get the perfect sunset views from your own dock without the noise, crowds and expenses of a sunset restaurant. Bayfront location, kayaks included. Perfect location, quick drive to Pennekamp. 5 minute walk for breakfast at Mrs. Mac’s kitchen. Great all around.

Tranquility

If you are looking for tranquility, Alamar by the Bay is the place. It's a great escape from the busy world around us. The Villa is spacious, well equipped, comfortable and very clean. Very convenient to Pennecamp, dive shops, the greenway, stores and restaurants. And the views are breath taking! Amenities such as grills, kayaks, outside tables and chairs, and beach towels make for a relaxing vacation.

Paradise is staying at Alamar's Villa on the Bay

If paradise is having all your needs met in a beautiful setting right on the water, in a beautifully decorated , really luxurious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house, then you will be totally happy at the Villa, one of the 3 houses at Alamar on the Bay. Except its not like renting ; staying in the Villa is like staying at the guest house of good friends. Because Al and Martha also have a carpet and tile store, the house is decorated with the best quality materials. This is a house you would be glad to live in, spacious with lots of closets in a beautifully natural setting, even trees that encourage butterflies. The photos of the house and its setting are actually totally accurate. The bathrooms and towels , the bedrooms and linens are all color coordinated. There is a great covered deck off the kitchen where you can eat and relax. In their description of amenities they described a hot tub, out door grill, fishing tackle as well as kayaks and a 100 ft. dock. And, though I don't think Martha and Al really had anything to do with it there WERE lots of fish and we caught quite a few right off that dock while watching the sunset, and sipping our sundowners. We were totally surprised and delighted to find all the amenities listed were really there, and in great shape ! We have rented houses for years and this is the FIRST time everything promised was actually beyond our expectations. And both Martha and Al were around and always glad to help, and address any concerns we had, and make us feel welcome.

A little paradise at Key Largo

Our second stay here. A great place to relax, watch the sunsets, see the manatee swim by the dock and take pictures of the flowers, birds and butterflies. The ground level home is equipped with even beach towels. We will be back.

Serenity Now!

What an EXCEPTIONAL place! There are two places in the world where I can truly relax; this is one of them. The house has everything a person needs for a wonderful vacation. And when you step out of your door, you have the bay to swim, snorkel, and fish. While snorkeling at the dock, we saw hermit crabs, blue crabs, hugh lobsters, starfish, sponges, sea anemones, barricudas, and many types of other fish. Our boys, ages 10 and 12, love this place! They spent hours in the water snorkeling and catching sea creatures. Al and Martha are wonderful hosts and are always willing to chat. They are an excellent resource for information about Key Largo. If you want the ultimate vacation, this is the place. This was our second time, and I wish I was already back there now.
