It was a nice house but we had to do quite a bit of cleaning. Took dishes out of cupboards that still had food on them, needed to clean several bathrooms before use , washer very old doesn’t clean well. The price of home I felt could come with a few upgrades. We stay in that area every year and keep looking for places to stay . Some kind of outdoor cooking area would be nice . Over all it was a nice place .

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When arriving we had multiple problems, such as the dishwasher not working properly, crack in the floor, blinds broken, pool table very wobbly and a broken stick, outlets not working.

Topical storm Debby Stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: With topical Debby it was not as great as it could have been but made the most of it. House was good size for a large group. Great to have each room with own TV and bathroom. Front door stuck and was very hard to open. Dryer stopped working was told they would be right over to fix but never showed up. Pool was green and cloudy when we arrived was told we were on list to have cleaned no one showed up to clean it. Rented golf cart had for a day and half due to storm they came and took it. No refund. Thought a grill came with rental but found out different and was told it was another $200 for the week to rent - was not happy about when we paid so much to rent to begin with. A permanent charcoal grill would be a good investment for the owner to add. Beds not very comfortable mattresses need updated

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect. It had a wonderful view of the beach from upstairs and downstairs. It is convenient to stores and restaurants. The house was clean with a good layout. The rental team checked in to ensure everything was going well even on a holiday. A few minor cosmetics needed. I would stay here again.

Great location!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was close to the beach, the private pool was wonderful! However the home needs many repairs, kitchen faucet is broke, the faucet in the King bathroom on the second floor also needs repaired, the cleanliness of the home was not good, we had to purchase many cleaning supplies and clean the home and the bathroom showers were very dirty. When the ceiling fans in two of the bedrooms were turned on dust balls fell onto the beds. The sliding glass door to go onto the back deck is so hard to open and close and is going to cause injury if not replaced. The stairs to go down to the pool also need repaired. The size of the home, the bed linens and towels were all good. But with the price we paid, we shouldn't have to go in and fully clean the home. Again we enjoyed the location, and swimming pool area and the house was spacious.

Great house layout, great location, great pool. Some minor issues but we’re addressed immediately by the rental people. Travelers FYI….Garden City is split between two county’s. This location (Horry County) does not allow tents of any type on the beach, only umbrellas. And no fires on the beach either. Check out Conch Cafe, Drunkin Jacks and the marsh walk, Hot Fish Club, Sarah J’s.

Mixed conditions

This property is conveniently located about three blocks from the Garden City Pier and across the street from the beach. With seven bedrooms and seven and one-half baths, it met our needs for our 12 family members. The owners need to invest in needed repairs. Many of the blinds could not be adjusted, the kitchen faucet will not move and stay over the left sink, the toilet in the master bath ran all the time, part of the handrail on the back stairs is broken, the combination lock on the front door is difficult to manage, the outdoor shower pipe is broken, two of the sinks did not drain (but were unclogged by the property manager after we reported them). Bask Away, the property management company, responded to our complaints promptly--sand on all the floors when we arrived, AC filters needing replacement, clogged sinks. They offered us complimentary items to compensate us for the problems. However, the brakes on one of the bikes did not work, and the handlebars on another would not stay in place. The grill and beach chairs are excellent. Everyone enjoyed the pool.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house it self was nice. It was spacious and comfortable. The fit and finish fell a little short. You can see where some repairs were made and don't match the surrounding area. The backyard was very lacking. No pool heater and the kids lips were purple in 15 minutes. The pool was only cleaned the day of arrival. The outdoor kitchen area is in shambles broken tiles. There are exposed rusty nails and screws around the patio frame. The picnic table is missing seating boards. Very expensive considering what you get. I've been coming to Myrtle for over 20 years this was very underwhelming.
