Villas Aura del Mar - a 9-unit condominium property built in 2023 in the coveted Madera neighborhood, directly across the street from Hotel Aura del Mar.

1,300SF with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 3 decks - one off of each bedroom overlooking the pool and the beautiful valley of Zihuatanejo, and one across the entire front of the unit just above the Aura del Mar facade. The master bedroom has a king bed and en suite bath. The second bedroom has two double beds. The master bath has double sinks, and both have stand-up showers. The great room is beautifully appointed in Zihuatanejo-style and the kitchen is equipped for people who love to cook. And, the building has an advanced water filtration system, which makes the water from the taps drinkable, even for those with sensitive stomachs.

Come enjoy this beautiful property close to the beach, within walking distance to the charms of Calle Adelita, and just blocks from Centro. All rentals include the superior services provided by Hotel Aura del Mar. Secure parking available for an extra charge through the hotel.

It was a very beautiful spot. We enjoyed the mostly private pool, the decks, large and well stocked kitchen, access to hotel amenities (especially sunset happy hour with Abel!), 2 minute walk to the beach. It was fantastic!

Amazing place and wonderful host!! Everything was perfect and this was our first time coming to Mexico too!We were greeted by the hotel staff with cerveza’s and friendly smiles… the condo was so lovely and nice and private, so many beautiful details!Easy access to the beach, use of the hotel amenities were icing on the cake! We loved playa madera the best as well, so nice and private and swimmable. Tons of restaurants and easy walks to town. We cannot wait to come back!!

Great stay for a family of 4. This was our fourth stay in Zihuatenejo and our first at Villas Del Mar. Apartment had everything we needed, was beautifully decorated and hotel staff were readily available and very helpful. We used the hotel amenities everyday. Kids loved the waterslide and boogie boards followed by chicken nuggets poolside - living the dream truly. Playa Madera is a great swimming beach. Short walk to centre. Lots of great restaurants nearby. We are partial to Casa Vieja, El Vado, Friday grill night at Hotel Irma, and the fish tacos at Maderas next door. Zihua in general is not a great place if you mind climbing hills or stairs. We will be back. Great alternative to all inclusive.

Great Stay

The condominium was clean. All amenities were as advertised. Amy was a great host/communicator. We had a minor issue getting the safe to work, otherwise the condo exceeded expectations. Amenities at Hotel Aura Del Mar were awesome. Staff at the hotel was very helpful. We would definitely use this condominium again.

This condo exceeded our exceptions in so many ways. It was HUGE. It was perfect for our family of 4 but would also be a great option for two couples! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could think of. Even tho all we made was popcorn. Huge fridge and freezer for keeping drinks cold and ice on hand. Tap water was safe for brushing teeth and we were told drinking and there was also the big blue jugs of water for water bottles etc. Aur Del Mar is one of our all time favorite hotels and the amenities were included with the stay which meant the use of pool with slide, boogy boards and paddle boards at the beach and the ability to charge to our room. It is also walking distance to more restaurants than you will ever be able to eat at in one vacation as well as less than 10 minutes from centro. If you are like our family and have outgrown a typical hotel room. BOOK THIS UNIT NOW!

Beautiful Unit Great location

The unit was beautifully appointed with all the modern conveniences including dishwasher air conditioners in every room washer dryer and double door refrigerator.You are within quick walking distance to beach and downtown.Hotel services are included with ubit and I cant say enoughabout the excellent service staff. Jessica the housekeeper was fantastic. Emilio the security Man always greeted you with a great smile and hospitality. Anything that went wrong in ynit was immediately addressed and fixed by the maintenance staff.Only negative was lack of oven and poor internet. The TV relied on a wifi connection that was unreliable and made TV viewing a challenge.

Born and raised in the Seattle area of Washington State. Winters can be cold and dreary here, and being a sun-worshipper I have made taking a tropical vacation a necessity since my early 20's. I have been coming to Ixtapa and Zihjuatanejo since 1999, when I was in my late 20's. I fell in love with the area and have spent so many wonderful times there. In 2016 I made the decision to make Zihua my part-time home after retirement, and started planning to make that dream a reality.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Once I made the decision to purchase an apartment in Zihuatanejo, every time I visited I stayed in a different area. Sometimes I had a view, sometimes not; sometimes I could walk everywhere, sometimes it was taxi service daily. In 2019 I rented an apartment in La Madera for the first time. In 2021 and 2022 I stayed in other neighborhoods, but once I started looking for an apartment officially, I knew La Madera would be home. The proximity to town, walk-ability, beautiful street art, restaurants, and enclave-like feel were exactly what I wanted.

Villas Aura del Mar apartment building was developed, and is managed by, the famous Aura del Mar Hotel. Only 9 units in the building, simple floor plans to maximize open space, and beautiful finishes make this property a gem. My guests at the Villas can use the pool and other facilities at the hotel, except during highly busy times, and can even order room service. The front desk at the hotel will check you in and hotel staff are just a call or quick walk across the street away for any concerns or issues with the property.
