Great property and worked well for two families (4 kids under 5). House itself has basically everything you could need. Lots of space to play and we loved being on the circle so the kids could bike and run around! My only one note is you’re pretty close to a train track and the trains are loud.

Perfect Family Getaway Home

We had a wonderful stay at this home! It was the perfect warm and inviting retreat for my family. Nestled in nature, it provided a serene atmosphere while being just a quick drive to town. The added bonus of pool passes allowed us to enjoy some fun in the sun together. We highly recommend this place for a memorable family getaway!Dave, the owner, was quick to assist us when we needed help learning the house on day one.

Nice large home in Sunriver

Enjoyed a week stay with family in snowy Sunriver. The home was a large home with ample room. There were a few maintenance issues but the owner was responsive and indicated he was going to take care of them.

Great family getsway

Our family, including grandparents and dog, had a fantastic spring break week in this house. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The SHARC passes were very handy. Nice quiet neighborhood. The train was pleasant and intermittent.

TERRIBLE

The grill/BBQ was filthy and would not light. It was finally replaced but was replaced 2 days into the trip. - advertised as multiple TVs. Only 1 smart TV in house and it didn't work. The remote was missing. D.S. (Host/owner?) promised new remote: made excuses, never delivered!- owner made no true effort to resolve the living room TV. Went without the entire week. -No TVs in bedrooms or upstairs loft are functioning. Every one was 100% dead. Total misrepresentation in listing. - kitchen chairs were to low for the table. Had to put pillows on them to be usable.- several light bulbs out or totally missing: no spares in the house. - coffee maker leaks (keurig). “Guest book gave wrong phone number for help. Outdated! We’ve vacationed in Sunriver more than 15 years and NEVER experienced poorer accommodations than this! We have also had problems in the past, but never experienced the treatment we received here!!! We have shared this experience with several folks who have had rental properties, and we have been advised that we should expect at least a partial or complete refund.

Not clean = not worth the money

Very disappointed to show up and have the hot tub not working, the water was low, the water was murky and the water wasn’t hot. We reached out and the response we got was to take care of it ourselves…not ok. The house was beyond dirty. Stuff splattered on the bathroom walls. Upstairs bathroom doesn’t drain and the dust…holy moly! I wouldn’t stay here again.

Disappointed

We are very familiar with Sunriver and have stayed at numerous properties over the years. Unfortunately, this was one of our most disappointing stays. Upon arrival the overall cleanliness of the property was not ideal, very dusty. None of the bathrooms had been cleaned, toilets, floors and tubs were still dirty from the previous stay. The master shower had scum marks around the edges and had a major clog in it. The downstairs bathroom had pink mold round the jets of the shower/tub. We notified the owner and he attempted to get a cleaning crew out but was unable to due to a shortage of staffing. We were unable to unclog the shower and we cleaned the bathrooms ourself. This was not ideal for a “vacation”. The linens in the house are due to be replaced as they are faded, stained and worn. I suggested to the owner that they may want to do a thorough walk through of the rental to get an idea of what type of job the cleaners have been doing. Also, we knew it was located near the train tracks so that was not a surprise. However, it’s right on the train tracks and each night a train went by around 3am or so and sounded like it was coming straight through the house. The owner did refund our cleaning fee which was much appreciated. We expressed we felt a larger refund should have been issued due to the conditions of the house and the inconveniences we encountered. Overall it was not a great experience and I would hesitate to recommend staying there based on the lack of cleanliness, need for updates and the location.

Beautiful trip

Everything was great! The rooms were comfy, the back yard was beautiful. Watching the train go by was AWESOME! It wasn’t too loud and it was a safe distance. We really enjoyed the house. Only weird one was the master bathroom smelled like someone sprayed a bunch of axe before leaving.. and it stuck the whole week lol and I think the towels needs to be updated. Someone rudely used the white towels for make up remover. Rude! That’s all though. We are planning on going back next year. We brought our two dogs. We had to leave a day early because of one of our dogs. It was his last trip with us. Super sad but I’m glad he got such beautiful scenery his last day. I can’t wait to go back. No air conditioner in any of the houses but I was very surprised how cool the house stayed. Really very pleased

Spacious vaca house

The house was perfect for our group of 5 adults. We had everything we needed. The wood-burning stove kept the house very warm. Sadly the hot tub didn’t heat properly, but the owner did send someone out as soon as we mentioned it.

Great location for a group with pets

We stayed here with our family and dogs. The location was really nice on a pretty quiet street. This is right on the railroad tracks so the first night we did notice the train once when it come by, but otherwise it didn't really bother us. The house has a very open downstairs with plenty of room. We had board games going in the family room and puzzles in the dinning room most of our stay and it was a perfect set up for it. Kitchen was well stocked for meals and there was a normal coffee maker and Keurig as well. This was about a 2-3 minute drive to the closest grocery store and about 7-8 minute drive to the village. The one downside to it being a pet friendly house was was the dogs were sniffing all over the rugs downstairs when we arrived and you could see some spots where stained from likely pet accidents in the past. We actually rolled up one of the rugs for our stay and would have preferred if the downstairs had no rugs. Overall, really happy with our stay here and would definitely recommend.

Great home!

We stayed here over Thanksgiving and really enjoyed our stay. The house was a described, kitchen well stocked, and the space was ample for our family. We loved the location, easy to get to from the north entrance of Sunriver. The house does sit close to the train tracks but it really is a non issue in my opinion... it went by a couple of times, but it doesn't blow any horns. Dave was a great host and easy to communicate with.

Family Bend Vacation

The house was perfect for our family of 7. Location was good except for the train that came by a couple times a day. Just a note that a few items need to be fixed for future guests. Front door lock was sticking so door did not always open after entering code, refrigerator doors had to be pressed hard in order for doors to seal, otherwise the doors did not seal on their own. A few light bulbs where burned out in the master bathroom. Otherwise house was great and we enjoyed our stay.

Great time in Sunriver

Property was as advertised. Spacious, well stocked kitchen, comfortable couches, chairs, and dining room table. We were a party of 5 adults, and one child. (You could have three adult couples if desired.) While we liked the property, we found it somewhat "away" from the "Village", but that is what bikes are for. Owner was terrific to work with, especially when we needed a new refer, that was installed within 24 hours!!!

Great comfortable cabin

We enjoyed our stay here very much. It was a cozy comfortable cabin. We loved seeing the deer go thru the yard every morning, taking bike rides into the village (thanks for providing a bike trailer, it was perfect for my 4 year old), working on puzzles every night, and relaxing in the hot tub. It was such a nice relaxing week. We can’t wait to come back.

We’ll be back!

When we arrived the property was not ready it was not clean and there was no extra blankets... we had to clean it ourselves. the hot tub was very dirty and very used... the owner was very responsive to the situation over the phone and offered a refund of cleaning fee which we never saw (it’s been 2 weeks) luckily we we know the owners of sunriver and will be filing a complaint. However we enjoyed the area. The house it’s self was beautiful and sunriver is incredible. Highly recommend this location as a must visit. Unfortunately we won’t be using virbo or renting from this owner again because he was very dishonest about his willingness to right the situation as promised. Obviously has no regard for the safety of others during a pandemic or taking responsibility for his mistakes and the mistakes of his cleaning staff and honoring his word. Sad I hate giving bad reviews and I hate throwing people under the bus. But I gave 2 weeks to see a few reversal that never came.

Great house in Deer Park

We loved this house! The downstairs is really comfortable and cozy with a well-stocked kitchen and lots of seating. Upstairs bedrooms are large and very comfortable - and of course the hot tub was great in the wintertime. The train went by and it was kind of fun to listen to it - didn't bother us at all!
