Beautiful place

This condo was a wonderful stay! Nicely furnished and decorated, with a very comfortable bed. Appreciated the walk-in shower. Safe and nice building. I prefer this end of Waikīkī, so this condo was perfect for me. Very convenient. Overlooks the marina- you can see the Friday night Hilton fireworks from this condo. Perfect stay.

Great location and very comfortable place to stay

My husband and I enjoyed a 3-week stay at the Ilikai Marina. First of all, the communication with Rocco, the person who handled the reservation, was fantastic. He was so responsive, so easy to work with, and we really appreciated this. The view from the condo was absolutely gorgeous. Overlooking the harbor, the unit offered a perfect vantage point for the Friday night fireworks at the Hilton, which is just a few buildings away. Since the unit faces the harbor instead of the street, it was much quieter than another condo across the street where we’d stayed in previously that faced the road. Every morning and evening, I had the pleasure of taking in this beautiful sight to start and end my day in paradise. The location is super convenient, especially if you want easy access to grocery stores like Foodland (more upscale) and Don Quijote (cheaper), each of which are just 15-20 minutes away. Ala Moana Mall (very large outdoor mall that includes major stores like Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Target, as well as all your little retail stores) is close by as well (10 minutes), and I especially loved my morning walks around nearby Magic Island Park (10 minutes). Of course, Waikiki is right there as well, making this an ideal spot to stay. The condo is well-equipped and very comfortable, with a very functional layout, perfect for two people. It included thoughtful extras like beach gear (boogie boards, chairs, small cooler, etc.), though we didn’t end up using them. The kitchen had everything we needed—plenty of dishes, pots and pans, utensils, and plastic food containers for leftovers. We used the rice cooker often, and appreciated the refrigerator with filtered water and an ice maker. There was also an electric stove, which we used occasionally, and a microwave mounted above it. A dishwasher was available as well, though it appeared to be installed incorrectly as the door hit the side of the cabinet — so we didn't use it - we flagged this to the property manager and hope it’s since been resolved. The bathroom fan was tied to the bathroom light - but the fan was very noisy, so I always made sure to close the door before turning on the light. The A/C worked wonderfully, so that was a huge plus. There was construction noise on many a days starting at 10 am, but luckily it only lasted a few hours at a time. I'm not sure we were told about this as we had booked it some months back, but a good reminder for us to check first before booking next time at the Ilikai Marina. I do wish there had been in-unit laundry, but the shared washers and dryers (7 of each but a few had signs indicating they didn't work) just one floor up - these were convenient ($3.25 per load). It did get busy at times, but wasn't too difficult for us to find an empty washer/dryer. Washers all used an app called PayRange, and dryers used a combo of PayRange and direct credit card slides. The Ilikai Marina balconies are not great. There was a tiny table and 2 little chairs out there, but the balcony was very narrow (maybe 3 ft?) and the sliding glass door was quite old and hard to open and close. The balcony is really more for show, not for use in my opinion. Since we didn’t rent a car, I can’t comment on the parking, and although there are a few restaurants just downstairs, we didn’t try them. Public transportation was easily accessible, with bus stops within a half block away. One of my favorite parts of the stay was being so close to the Hilton Lagoon which was 5 to 7 minutes away. I went there every morning for some yoga or strength exercise, then enjoyed a leisurely walk around Waikiki or over to Magic Island. There were many pros but a few cons for this unit and for Ilikai Marina, but I would say that overall it was a good experience and we would return for a stay.

Excellent time in Waikiki

Condo is close to everything you need. There is a great view of the marina and the ocean. Birdseye view of the Friday night fireworks; no need to go outside! Had a great stay!

Cozy and beautiful

The condo was fantastic, very cozy and simple. The view from the balcony was spectacular overlooking the Marina and the Pacific beyond. The space in the condo was perfect for my bride and i. The correspondence for detailed specific information concerning arrival and departure times were spot on. Great job!! Thank you Ilikai Marina for being a major part of our 30th Anniversary Celebration Vacation. I recommend this condo, and Lord willing, one day we will return and stay there once more.

Everything was absolutely fantastic! We will stay there again next year! This property combines the old school Hawaii with today's culture. Close to everything but just far enough away from the hustle bustle of the city.

Great place to stay

We loved our view and location. Condo was very clean. Not only did the condo have everything we needed but a lot of extras like beach towels, cooler, boogie boards, etc. our favorite was a big umbrella for the beach. Checkin and communication was excellent.

I stayed here to participate in the Honolulu Marathon. The location was perfect, just a short distance from the starting line and right in front of the ocean. It was super convenient, as I could walk to Ala Moana Shopping Mall and Waikiki. The parking was easy to use, and both check-in and check-out went smoothly. The parking fees also seemed more affordable compared to other places.

Our Marina by Waikiki stay

We enjoyed our week stay at the Ilikai Marina Condo very much. It was lovely and decorated very nice with beautiful and comfortable furniture and bedding. The kitchen had everything! A few things to note: - The lanai only had one chair to sit on (we didn't see the other one stowed away anywhere in the condo), so my husband and I took turns. - They were renovating the downstairs restaurant (the Chart House) so there was plenty of construction noise starting at 7 am! - The building was having water problems and sending shut off notices to all the residents. We received one but it was on a day that we were going to be out all day so it didn't matter. We received another one and it was going to be for longer hours but we were leaving that next morning so it didn't matter as well. The owner did text us and asked if everything was ok which was very nice. Bottom line.....for considering any vrbo stay, you may want to check in on the place for things (like construction) going on in or around the area!

Ilikai marina condos

Property is in a great location. Water views are fantastic. Everything you need is there. Bus stop 50 metres away which can take you anywhere on the island. Beach chairs, towels, boogie boards all there.major shopping centre 10 minute walk. Highly recommended place to stay.

Clean property, good location

Good location with working distance to the beach and shopping mall. The apartment has everything we need for our stay, full kitchen, beach gear, bathroom supplies. Working AC, internet, Roku TV, $28/day parking, only ramp access at 7th floor elevator, laundry costs about $3.5 each washing or drying load.

Great condo and location

Condo is in a great location. You can walk everywhere and really do not need a car unless you want to get out of the city. The condo had everything you will need. Beach chairs and towels, swim boards, snorkeling stuff, etc. it also has a pack n play, stroller if you need those. The kitchen was well stocked and even had a blender. Would stay here again

Another comfortable stay

This must be my 12th stay within the Ilikai Marina building. It provides a much larger area than your average hotel room, at a great location in Waikiki, AND the fact you can make things like fresh coffee & snacks, to 3 course meals any time of the day or night is a big plus for me. A very comfortable stay, with very pleasant admin staff, management & security. Highly recommended.

Great location, easy to get around. Clean. They had all the items needed for fun on the beach. Sleeper sofa not working was a disappointment, however they credited us one-days rental. Be sure to pay for the parking pass.

Nice condo but complex not easily wheelchair accessible

We were in Hawaii to attend a wedding. We selected this condo since other family members were staying in the same complex. The condo itself was very clean and well equipped. Having air conditioning was a real plus! The views from the condo were nice and sunsets were gorgeous. What we did not know until we arrived was that the red chair in the photos was missing and the sofa bed was broken so could not be used. This was a bit disappointing since I broke my foot a couple of weeks before our stay and had to use a wheelchair. I had planned on using the red lounge chair to keep my foot elevated. But the condo was spacious enough for using a wheelchair. Unfortunately, the outside of the complex is not easily wheelchair accessible. The outside "ramp" to access the elevator level is not clearly marked, is very steep and is shared with the garage parking ramp. The "bridge" that connects the marina complex to the other part of the complex is also steep and is also not clearly marked. Once we found it, navigating to the other parts of the complex was much better. I would definitely not recommend the marina complex to anyone using a manual wheelchair unless you have someone assisting you. The ramps are way too steep to get up by yourself. But overall the condo was great for the five days we were there.
