This place was perfect for our Grandchildren to swim,kayak and Excellent for us Grandparents as well.The location on the Weeki wachee was perfectWe were at the end of a connected canal with a fountain and no boat traffic except for us and the neighbors The scenery was excellent We are going back next year for sure

Home away from home!

The Weeki Mermaid Retreat is a wonderful place to stay!! Our family really enjoyed our time there! We would highly recommend and will definitely be back next year!

Adorable Quiet Retreat!

Had a wonderful time using the kayaks and stand-up paddle boards and seeing all the beautiful wildlife! Highly recommend this fully stocked adorable little home that's close to everything!

Annual family scalloping adventure

Property owners Aislinn & Scott Koenig was very pleasant and made our stay very nice. Weeki Mermaid Retreat was very clean and met all our needs. The springs were clean and we saw many manatees. We will definitely be back next year.

Great rental

My family and I had an amazing stay for our spring break. The location is great. Five minutes down the road from the Weeki Wachee state park. We kayaked from the house to the spring and it was just amazing. We also put in at the state park and kayaked back to the house. Our kids loved playing in the canal. Over all a great stay!

Wonderful family vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation. The child kayaks were so much fun for our little kids. We love the outdoor space and dock. We made great memories. The house was very comfortable and I could tell the owners were organized and put lots of care and attention to making our stay great. Thank you!

Great space

We enjoyed our stay at the mermaid retreat. The common areas are spacious and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and we very much enjoyed the kayaks, lanai and dock. Just a short paddle away from the river where we could paddle up towards the state park. Saw several manatees on our journey. The neighbors are friendly and quiet. Very peaceful overall.

Amazing Place

This home was absolutely perfect! If I could give 10 stars, I would! Plenty of room and so clean! We really enjoyed the outside screened in porch, which was perfect for a game with the kids around the table or just reading on the porch swing! It had everything we needed and some and the hosts were more than amazing!!

Relaxing

This home was absolutely amazing. Had everything that was needed. We came to work at a near by project evenings and returned home to rest. We so much enjoyed the backyard and kayaks. Host was very attentive at all times as needed. Thank you for allowing us the use of your beautiful home. We will definitely stay here if in the area again.

Loved this house!

Thank you coming for sharing your beautiful home with us gorgeous the c weekend. We had a relaxing time there over the New Year weekend. House was clean and furniture in excellent condition with practically everything you need on hand which is hard to find. Plenty of kayaks to use for the entire family. Owners were in contact often with us both before, during, and after our stay to make sure all was good. Will stay here in the future for sure!

Location location location

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute of our visit. The location was perfect and quite. Plenty of room for our party of 6. The home had everything that you need and some extras. Manatees and more

We were looking for location and kayaks to provide a relaxing getaway with family. The house met our needs perfectly. We kayaked several times up and down the River and were rewarded encounters with manatee mammas and babies, turtles and bird life. The owners left an amazing welcome “snack” in the refrigerator that we worked on for several days. We hated to see our visit end.

Beautiful house in a beautiful spot

Our family of 5 spent 5 nights here and we all enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well stocked. The property was well maintained and had beautiful plants. We absolutely loved the screened in patio in the back. We used 5 of the provided kayaks and paddled down to the main river everyday several times. We saw multiple manatees everyday but one and one morning we saw 4 right off the dock of the house. The Weeki Wachee river is absolutely beautiful and we loved exploring it. We plan to visit again.

Perfect location on the Weeki Wachee

Beautiful home with lots of amenities. They had everything you would need in the kitchen already. Even down to the salt and pepper. Tons of towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, everything you can think of. This is a huge help when traveling with the family. easy communication with the owners. Check in process was all electronic. I highly recommend this place.

Don’t hesitate…This home lacks NOTHING!

We had the best time for Thanksgiving. The house was VERY clean and VERY well equip. We will definitely return. The river was beautiful, we seen lots of mullet, Manatees & babies. The grands and kids enjoyed fishing, kayaking & having fire's. The screen room outside is perfect, with a grill, the long dock was great and made it easy for a few to be fishing at the same time. Great house, great hosts, great location

Our large family rented four places on the Weeki Wachee canals and my wife and I stayed here with our 21-year-old daughter, 25-year-old son, and his girlfriend. My 95-year-old mother also joined us here, preferring the electric lounge chair to a bed at another house. The place has a long dock right next to a big party house at the end of the last canal where there's a fountain and people always swim. But manatee seem to like the spot, and we saw at least one per day. In fact, one came right up to us as we sat on our dock, feet dangling in the water. Kayaks were easy to launch from here, and the house itself is really nice. Photos are accurate, and the hosts were very nice and communicative. We'd stay here again!

Weeki Mermaid Retreat is the result of our first visit to Florida in winter of 2022! We decided during that visit that we wanted to look for a place to visit regularly and that we could share with other families and groups so they could enjoy the beauty of Weeki Wachee, too!

Our home features two separate living spaces, in addition to the 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a soaking tub!), and a fully furnished kitchen. We also have multiple areas for relaxing outdoors, including a fully screened lanai with a dining table. You will also find our mermaid theme featured throughout the property.
