We saw manatees and dolphins right from the back yard. Having the kayaks there is an extra value and being able to kayak whenever you want was great. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience!(The listing says it has a pool but it does not. We didn't see one in the pictures so weren't expecting it, just fyi)

Bear Trail is a gorgeous property as well as perfectly located on the river. Our host Sonia was quick to respond to any questions that we had which made our stay even better. We really enjoyed the many kayaks and even rented a small boat to ride the river. We enjoyed staying here and will be booking another stay here soon. Thanks again Sonia!

Location was great for paddling to the Hospital Hole (manatee hang out) and into the state park. From the deck/patio you could see manatees swimming by, lots of birds and lots of people floating by. It was quiet and beautiful.It is about 35-40 min drive from Crystal SpringsThe property is on the canal- you can swim, paddle, snorkle, fish but there in no 'pool' The kayaks and equipment were great and easy to access.Sonia (property manager) was prompt and took care of a minor heating issue immediatley.The house is well stocked with anything you might need.We wish we could have stayed longer.I would definately book again

Fantastic for the whole family

It was perfect. As we swam in the water we listened to multiple people comment on how awesome the house was. The music and the big unicorn helped…. Manatees swam by every evening.

Great house and location

Spacious, plenty of room to roam. The multilevel living quarters to this house gives it the advantage for privacy.

quick get away

This property was perfect for a friends get away! The multi level living spaces was great for when some wanted quiet time. The outdoor area was spectacular ! So many seating options. Not that it was a negative, but the only thing missing was a hammock for the nice cool mornings. Host was great with communication also. Will definitely will book again.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property on the Weeki Wachee River! The water was absolutely crystal clear—perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, and just relaxing by the river. Manatee House

This house is amazingly beautiful inside and out! You can see everything so good from the outside 2nd fl deck. Saw a ton of Manatee and dolphins! Just beathetaking! Water was so clear and beautiful. And They have TONS of kayaks! Definitely recommend!! we are already looking into when we can rent this place again !!! Thanks Sonia!!

We traveled to Spring Hill with a group of eight friends, and the house had plenty of room for everyone. We loved sitting in the backyard and watching the river. Manatees passed by on several occasions. The kayaks were perfect! There were enough for everyone and it was easy to get them on and off the storage racks. This house is probably best for people that can use the stairs. There is a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom downstairs, but the main dining area and nicer kitchen is upstairs. There is also a lovely balcony upstairs that we enjoyed.

Perfect location! The home was beautiful and the perfect size for our family. Check in was horrible after driving 14 hours with 5 kids and we were given the wrong code, it took 30 minutes to reach the owner of the home who was able to get us in using a seperate key since the property manager did not respond to calls or messages. After finally getting in and trying to unpack we found one of the pull out couches would not open but dealing with unpacking 5 kids plus trying to make dinner I failed to contact the property manager to let her know and she blamed me for their broken sofa. We had a great time and I hate to leave a bad review but I like to be honest, don't let this deter you from renting just make sure to buy the insurance to protect yourself and check to make sure if anything is broken you report it immediately.

Elishia, Yes, it is good to always follow the house Check-In Instructions of checking the property upon arrival & reporting any damages so you.won't take responsibility for someone elses accidents. I'm glad you were able to get me on the phone since we had just changed locks prior to your arrival. That said, The bed was not broken prior to your arrival which we have proof of. You never mentioned it being broken to me. I brought it to your attention after you left when the (same) cleaning company that precleaned it also postcleaned it could not open it to remake the bed due to the damage done during your stay. Again, we appreciate you staying here. All our best to you.

Nasty floors, disgusting sheets. Filthy.

We loved the location. The house itself, aside from the interior stairs, was good. Good, HOT water. Just filthy! We took the sheets off the beds - hair and little black spots. Bought new sheets, pillows and cover at Target - unplanned new sheet sets for home. Absolutely no contact from the "property manager".

We encourage our guests to reach out to us upon arrival if anything is not up to their expectations so that we can address any issues promptly. Our house rules clearly state this policy. If we do not hear from our guests, we assume that everything is satisfactory. It's important to communicate any issues so that we can take corrective action. In this case, we could have resolved the situation with the cleaning company if we had been notified in a timely manner, but unfortunately, it's too late to make any adjustments now. We had an issue in the beginning with getting into the house because I wasn’t getting communication from the property mgr regarding the code. The original code I received was on Tuesday but didn’t see anything after that, so when used that one & it didn’t work, I freaked out but we had the problem resolved immediately upon calling. Apparently, I wasn’t getting any further messages about the code change. Just a glitch but we got through it. Everything imaginable was available for use onsite. We brought a lot of things we didn’t need to. The upstairs was the best. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Great family property on the river

We had a group of friends stay in this house together with kids age range between 1-12. While there were enough bedrooms to accommodate a large group, the beds were not the best. However there were extra futons and couches plus floor space for plenty of air mattresses. Our only other negative comment would be about the lack of toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags and some other kitchen items. However, that’s an easy fix so please don’t let that deter you from this place. It is in a great location on the river with a lot of kayaks and entertainment space. The contact for the property was very responsive and nice. We will definitely be looking to stay at this property for another river trip in the future.
