The Blue Heron | Pet Friendly, Fishing, Great View

The Blue Heron is a beautiful waterfront property that sleeps up to eight people. Guests will enjoy great fishing from the 32' boat/fishing dock with an above water green light for night fishing and an extra spotlight. There is also a fish cleaning station to make preparing your day's catch that much easier! Relax on the covered back porch where you will find an outdoor dining area as well as a charcoal/gas combo grill. This is the perfect place to spend your evening grilling up your best catch of the day and taking in the coastal beauty. Inside the main house, you will find two coastal themed bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a flat panel cable TV and sectional in the living area along with tile floors throughout and natural lighting. The dining room table seats up to six people and opens to the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped. The first bedroom is beautifully decorated and has a queen size bed. The first bathroom has a shower/tub combo with an upgraded vanity. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a full-size sleeper sofa. In the second bathroom you will find a walk-in shower and upgraded vanity. The third bedroom, separated from the main house, will accommodate two guests. This space has a queen-size bed, private bathroom and a set of washer and dryer.

Best Vrbo we’ve stayed in. The only problem was the plumbing. Dock was hard for my husband to use.

Beautiful property, well accommodated. beds are comfortable. Fishing was fun off the dock. I would recommend this property.

Had a fantastic 3 night stay at the Blue Heron. House was clean and roomy for 4, the backyard access to fishing was the hit of the trip. We caught numerous speckled trout, blue crabs, a sting ray, and a massive black drum (personal record biggest fish I've caught).The green light really helped attract the fish at night and having a hose and cleaning station close by was really handy.

We absolutely loved the Blue Heron

Blue Heron was perfect, house was very clean, the beds were super comfy and we will definitely stay in this house again. My 13 year old girls had the best time catching fish all day long.

Great stay

Property is in very good condition and has plenty of room. The open concept allows for everyone to be in the same area enjoying each other. The deck is awesome and so convenient. Get bored, go throw a line in the water and catch a fish almost every time! We will rent this home again.

Thanksgiving Getaway

We wanted to leave the city and meet family for the holiday! We packed holiday dinner and sides including the Turducken as an alternative to basic Thanksgiving turkey. The house was cute, clean and had a nice view of the canal. We filled the fridge, stocked the shelves and headed to town for our preholiday seafood dinner at Lattiudes (so good) The cove is quiet and perfect away from it all. The ducks and birds love the area. A true getaway to relax and enjoy!

Great House

House was clean and very accommodating. Check in was easy and check out list was reasonable. Property is pet friendly and there's plenty of room for them to run around. However, yard is not enclosed and although pets may stay within the property, there's nothing to keep any strays to come on to the yard. A few were seen on one of the days we were there but otherwise it was not a problem.

Some issues that require attention from the owner such as change the microwaves. The septic tank must be constantly checked so that what happened to us does not happen again. The a/c duct must be prolongued to the yard.

Nice house but…

The house was very nice but the water in the back was very low which was not idea for “good fishing”. We had no heat in the house. The company sent two companies out to “fix it” but it wasn’t fixed! We stayed in the house with 40 degree weather, pouring rain and two small space heaters. My vacation was spent in the house waiting on ac companies when I am clearly not the owner of the property!

Unfortunately we have no control over changing conditions due to low tide. We deeply apologize for the issue with the heater. Once we realized the initial company had misdiagnosed the problem, we dispatched the second contractor in order to fix the issue as soon as possible. It was our goal to get everything working quickly so that you can enjoy your time on the coast. Blue heron vacation stay

Property was comparable as pictures shown. Clean and had plenty of parking. Unfortunately one of the rooms ceiling fan nor power in room did not work the first until a notified manager. The was absolutely no extra of any amenities had to buy it all. No extra blanks sheets etc... floors are tile through the home which is nice but , in the bathroom they are as well with no shower mats on floor . So it was very slick and not safe. And also the third room we rented the toilet leaked around the bottom seal so water accumulated over time. The location is great and the fishing and craving was amazing . Thanks

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was right on the water, in a quiet neighborhood, and the house was very clean. The hosts were amazing at keeping in touch and ensuring we had everything we needed.

The location was not the best, no fault of the property owners but not close to town. If you plan to fish, this was very nice. The dock was nice and wide with plenty of space to cast. We didn't catch anything but the green light was working. I felt close to the neighbors and was worried we were in their space however. What stands out the most is that it didn't seem like it had a good cleaning. There were crumbs on the floor in spots and trash left at the back of the trashcan. Lots of crumbs at the bottom of that. There were not ANY extra sheets even though there was a container labeled for the pullout couch. There was an over abundance of pillows but we needed sheets and blankets. There were also very limited number of towels. I guess they assume people will out because there were hardly any dishes either. The master bath was VERY small which makes no sense as a master. Be aware of OWELS also! Not my first choice for a place to stay, mainly for the trash/crumbs left but also because I didn't feel as welcome as I have in other VRBO's. I felt like someone was renting the place out for extra money and put in the bare minimum.

We loved all the features of The Blue Heron. The home was beautifully decorated, the amenities on point, the location was quiet and on a small cove of water, the fishing/crabbing was outstanding, the barbecue and dock were perfect, and the reeled hose was great for washing the deck off each night. We will definitely be back to The Blue Heron. Thank you for an excellent weekend getaway! Excellent customer service and follow-up emails. We have been booking through Miss Kitty's Fishing Getaways for several years for Copano Bay rentals. We have always had a positive experience and will continue to recommend Miss Kitty to friends and family.

Beautiful getaway with a waterfront view!

House was beautiful inside and out. Loved watching the sunrise; fishing right outside our backdoor and there was ample room for the dogs to run around. Only wish the steps to the water were fixed so we could get down to the water's edge.
