Summary:

The Foreword is a luxury 1BR/1BA suite at Three Stories Inn, providing a polished retreat in historic St. Augustine. Located on the second level above La Nouvelle, an upscale French restaurant, this apartment offers a private balcony, full kitchen, and high-end interiors. Enjoy designer furniture and lavish linens in the charming Lincolnville district, walking distance to major sights, dining, and shops. Adults 21+ only; Renter 26+.



The Space:

You are booking a private, fully equipped 1BR/1BA apartment on the second level of Three Stories Inn. The interior is designed for a luxury stay, with a full kitchen, in‑unit washer and dryer, and thoughtfully curated living and dining spaces. We have hand‑selected lavish linens and unique furniture pieces to ensure a sophisticated experience. The suite includes a private balcony facing Bridge Street, perfect for watching local horse carriages pass by.



Guest Access:

Guests enjoy a private entrance at the rear of the building, marked by black rocking chairs on the porch. Entry is fully digital and keyless for both the main building and your private penthouse suite. The Epilogue is located on the third floor above the restaurant and is accessible only by stairs. Please note that this historic property is not handicap accessible.



The Neighborhood:

Located at 102 Bridge Street, you are in the heart of Lincolnville, one of St. Augustine’s most charming historic districts. Fine dining at La Nouvelle is on the first floor, with Blue Hen Cafe and The Ice Plant Bar just steps away. You’re a short walk from the Lightner Museum, Flagler College, and other historic sites, and about 10–15 minutes on foot from St. George Street’s shops and restaurants.



Getting Around:

Most historic landmarks and St. George Street shopping are a 10–15 minute stroll away. Dedicated private parking is located directly across the street on Martin Luther King Avenue. Uber and Lyft are very active in this area for quick trips to the beach, lighthouse, and other nearby attractions.

Noise:


The building is soundproof, and the restaurant noise does not carry into the apartments. You may hear light, intimate music while on the balcony or porch, but guests do not hear restaurant noise inside their suites.



Scents:


Because the inn is above a gourmet kitchen, you may notice a mild aroma of herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, and garlic) in the main stairwell and occasionally in the units. Vents are regularly serviced, and odor-eliminating devices are installed, with a light eucalyptus/tea tree scent provided for guest comfort.

:

Private, designated parking is located directly across the street.

• Unit A: 1 standard vehicle (max ~18 ft)

• Unit B: 1 standard vehicle (max ~18 ft)

• Unit C: up to 2 compact cars, or 1 medium/large vehicle plus 1 compact car



Walking distance
:

The property is walking distance to the historic Plaza de la Constitución, Lightner Museum, Flagler College, St. George Street shopping, and numerous restaurants, bars, and historic sites in Lincolnville and downtown.



Golf carts & bikes
:

Guests may rent bikes from local shops. Golf carts may be parked in the designated parking space only if you do not also have a car, as each unit has limited parking.

No smoking or vaping
. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited on balconies, porches, and restaurant grounds. A $100 fee applies for violations.



Furniture:


Please do not move furniture from its original position. An $80 fee may apply if furniture must be reset or repaired.



Early check-in & late check-out
:

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to the housekeeping schedule and same-day turnovers. You’re welcome to contact us 1–3 days before arrival to request early check-in, or the day before departure to request late check-out. Requests are considered when available, but are not guaranteed.



Parking after check-out:


Housekeeping uses the designated parking spaces and cannot park in the restaurant lot. For this reason, leaving your car after check-out is usually not possible. If you reach out, we will let you know if an exception can be made for your date.

This apartment was amazing!! Decorated beautifully and has all the amenities you could possibly need. Marie was a fantastic host, responded quickly to any messages and even left water and sodas in the entryway for us. The location could not have been better- 1 block away from downtown. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent experience

Excellent accommodations, recently updated, clean, safe, great location - easy walk to old town, great support on a couple of minor items. Had a great week in St Augustine, lots to see and do and great restaurants. And we lucked out with great weather too (3/22 - 3/29). This is our go-to next time in St Augustine.

Perfect Place for our annual Christmas Get-A-Way!

From the moment we arrived we were enchanted with our suite at Three Stories Inn! The owners have gone above and beyond to make their space “perfect” for guests, with beautiful decor and high end amenities, no detail was overlooked! My husband and I stayed Sunday thru Thursday and loved the inviting, peaceful environment which included a private balcony where we spent early mornings sipping coffee and late evenings relaxing after spending our days exploring St. Augustine! We highly recommend booking a stay at the Three Stories Inn for your next get-a-way! We will definitely plan a return visit soon!

Beauty and comfort

Our stay at Three Stories was fantastic. The pictures on the listing don't do justice to the beautiful details of this property. We had everything we could need and some nice extras like water and drinks available in the common area. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and we were in walking distance to everything downtown. Highly recommended!

This property was beyond our expectations! The space was clean, bright, and decorated beautifully. Short walking distance to attractions, shops and restaurants. Communication was easy and efficient. An absolute favorite!

This was a gem! The rental was a great retreat from a day of sight-seeing & we appreciated the quiet. All amenities were provided and we were within walking distance to old St. Augustine. Easy to come & go with digital locks at the building entry & unit's door. We enjoyed coffee each morning on the balcony overlooking the street while tours drove by the historic building. Great host! We hope to be back!

This is our new go-to place to stay in downtown St. Augustine! My husband and I used to be St. Augustine locals but now live about an hour south. We booked The Foreword (Unit A) for two nights, December 30 and 31st, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We could not have asked for a better experience, particularly during the Nights of Lights craziness! Check in instructions were super clear, and there is dedicated parking for one vehicle right across the street from the Three Stories Inn. Keyless entry was seamless, and we were so pleasantly surprised to see complimentary bottled water provided. The suite itself was gorgeous and clean, with so many thoughtful touches, like tea and coffee provided, and in-unit laundry with supplies. It also has a fully functioning kitchen and plenty of supplies, though we didn’t really cook. The bed was super comfortable as well, and we LOVED the balcony. There’s nothing like enjoying your morning coffee or tea with a view of historic St. Augustine!The first floor of the building belongs to La Nouvelle French Bistro (formerly Preserved Restaurant). We had NYE dinner here, and it was literally one of the best meals we’ve ever had! Noise from the restaurant was minimal and not disruptive at all inside of the suite.Finally, communication with this host was 10/10, with responses to our questions coming within minutes, even during a holiday week. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderfully thoughtful place

From the start of the stay to the last day, we could not be happier with The Prologue suite at 3 Stories. The unit is IMMACULATE and they have taken every detail into consideration when choosing the decor. It is a mix of elegance and cozy and has all the amenities that you need and more. The balcony gave us some great views of the surrounding neighborhood. The managers were very available and kind. We had some trouble accessing the unit but the manager was immediately available and solved the problem almost immediately. The check-in/out procedure was simple and straightforward. Do not let the restaurant on the bottom floor deter you. We could not smell a thing from the delicious food served at La Nou while we were inside our unit. Speaking of the restaurant… wow. The onion soup is a MUST as are the duck fat fried potatoes. They were kind enough to accommodate us for a nightcap and a bite even though it was shortly after the kitchen closed. They made us feel very welcome. We will, undoubtedly, be staying here again on our next St Augustine vacation.
