We stayed during a tropical storm. The house was clean, dry, and temperature was great! The Primary bed was amazingly comfortable and our two fur babies found the trip to be a joy. It is only a short walk to the beach and we took in the views often.

Family stay in September

This is a great place to stay for a group up to 8. The property was clean and with linens provided. The kitchen is well supplied with everything needed for cooking meals. Close to stores and shopping and there is a nature trail close by that goes directly to the beach. We enjoyed our stay!

Great Place

We stay in rentals for two months each year. This was overall our best experience of all time. The house was like new, functional, comfortable, and well located.

Cute place

Place was really nice. Can tell that it has all been renovated lately. Great kitchen setup and main bathroom is awesome. Plenty of room as well for everyone. Kitchen well stocked with all your utensils and kitchenware you should need. And location close to everything in town and can walk to the beach! Would stay again.

Holiday fishing trip

We got away for a few days for a coastal fishing adventure. This house was the perfect fit. The place was clean, well-equipped, and very recently updated. Good location to all points of interest on Oak Island. We had just one question at checkout and it was answered very promptly. The walk to the beach via the nature trail was lovely. Only thing I would suggest is a fully fenced in yard for pups. Would highly recommend this place.

True To Its Name!

We had a very nice stay at Tranquil Times. The home is spacious, clean, and clearly well-maintained. It’s been recently renovated, and everything, from the flooring to the fixtures, feels fresh and updated. The kitchen was especially impressive: very well-stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals during our stay. Overall, the space was comfortable and relaxing, true to its name! There were just a couple of very minor things to note: there was a faint pet odor in the house, and guests are asked to put linens on the beds upon arrival. Neither was a big deal, and they certainly didn’t detract from the overall experience.

Roaches

We didn’t have a pleasant stay here we only spent two nights due to a tropical storm coming we were afraid of flooding. We were unable to get any money back and they took forever to respond. When we drove 5 hours and arrived at 4 (check in time) there was still a car in the driveway. When we walked in it immediately smelt like cat pee. Then we started finding roaches in the house and got bit multiple times by mosquitoes while in the house and even ended up bringing a roach home with us in our suitcase, I was disgusted to say the last and won’t be back.

Kyle, I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience. We are aware you did not purchase travel insurance and tried to cancel your reservation. We were disappointed that you did not communicate any issues to us during your stay for us to be given the chance to assist you and correct these issues that arouse after your arrival. We did check the home for pests after your departure, and no evidence of issues were found by the pest control company and it was sprayed a few days prior to your arrival. It is not uncommon to see more pests coming out when there is heavy rain, and unfortunately we can not control that. We were also not notified that home had a urine smell. We sincerely apologize your stay was below expectations and we will communicate the issues of pests, smell, and slow communication with our team to ensure a better experience for future guests.
